Fighting more low clouds with icing conditions - flying home VFR from Erie

- Last leg home from New Orleans, and it just wouldn't feel right without more low clouds to contend with. These ones delayed our departures from Erie for 8 hours before clearing up enough to let us head north - and even then, we had to stay much lower while crossing the lake than I would have liked. Join us for the final video from our big trip to Nashville and New Orleans.
It's all about the journey. As always great ADM. Thanks for the ride along.
Thanks Gary
Just ordered the IFR equipment for C-FMVU - doing the instal in February and my training shortly after. But I’ll still probably spend a few days here and there sitting on the ground waiting for weather to clear.
Oh sweet! Curious to see what equipment you ended up going with. I was literally just watching your latest video when I saw this pop up. We really need to get together, it’s been too long.
@@WingsOverTO You’ll have to wait and see what we’re putting in. No spoilers.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New years fellow Sierra owner. I should.... have my engine back by March they said :) Then I have to fly back to Florida to pick up my plane as we are moving out of state. Keep up the videos!
Enjoying your videos!
Thanks! Glad you like them.
Nice job Kamal!
Thanks Chris
Welcome home from another great adventure.
Thanks Reale! Hope you’re doing well.
My wife flies a Sundowner out of KGKJ which is just south of Erie. Looks like a nice panel in your Sierra.
Oh sweet. These are great planes aren’t they? If she hasn’t already joined the Beech Aero Club you should point her to the web site. Really good type club
I had my panel upgraded in 2023 and am so glad I did. The plane is much more capable now and the panel provides so much useful information and confidence!
Thanks for watching.
I miss Meadville. That’s where I grew up. I flew into KGKJ last December to celebrate my grandfather’s 95th birthday. So many friends still live there.
@ She loves the Sundowner. She started in a Sport 150 then joined the club that has the Sundowner that she currently flies. She works at a flight school and is working on her instrument rating in their Cessna 172s, definitely prefers flying the Sundowner. A Sundowner or Sierra are at the top of our list for us to buy. I will point her toward the Beech Aero Club.
Credit cards would have saved so many private pilots. Great video! Cheers from CYYB.
North Bay is so close by and yet I’ve never managed to come there. Thanks for watching!
Woohooooo! That was fun! 😊
lol, thanks for watching!
I actually work for DTE and work in a power plant in IT, along the international border with Canada. Let us talk one of days on DOPA. We have talked in the past. Regards -Ajit
Hey Ajit, yes I remember chatting! I find the volume of chatter on DOPA so high that it’s hard to follow. Looks like a great group, I just wish I had more time to stay on top of the discussions! But yeah let’s definitely chat soon, it’s been a while.
Love your channel, you deserve more subscribers. It would be interesting to hear a bit about you and your wife if you have the time.
Very kind of you to say, Chris. I agree with you. 😀 Thanks for watching, and I’ll think about making a video where my wife and I talk about ourselves a bit. Good idea.
