I’ve loved John Denver and his songs all my life. I am 79 and have never heard this song ever. This must be the most beautiful love song ever, It beats “ Annie’s song “ by miles. It is a gem. It puts tears in my eyes, but I love it. John we miss you and your music so much. R.I.P.
It’s everything a love song should be from the lyrics, music, his voice every thing about it is just back of the neck hair raising, it was our song at my wedding .
I haven’t heard a John Denver song in years. He had a wonderfully unique voice. So strong and pure. I’m glad you enjoyed his music so much. He was a rare and gifted musician.
Was blessed to.be able to hear him in concert twice and he always sang with such enthusiasm and emotion. He really connected with the audience. His pure, beautiful and powerful voice was a gift very few have had. Among my many favorites….Calypso, Looking for space, For You, Don’t close your eyes tonight, Perhaps love, Fly away, Sweet surrender, My sweet lady.❤😢
My parents played John Denver for me growing up, but I somehow missed this gem. Thank you. I got chills when he held out that note. An artist gone much too soon.
He was a favorite of mine in the 70s. Chose to play "Annies Song" ( one of his big hits) at my wedding. I saw him at the first Farm Aid concert in '86 in Champaign, IL. Ulike other artists all day, EVERYONE faced the stage and started swaying to his peaceful ballads of love and the joy of life! He was so good! Please react to "Annies Song" & other greatest hits of his. ❤❤❤
God bless you for doing this song of his. It’s one of his best and no one really knows it. This version is far superior to the studio recording. This entire concert is special. He’s one of the rare artists whose voice got better as he aged.
For me John Denver is at the top table for beautiful emotional songs . No-one more musically gifted than John Denver. The words are beautifully soulful . The world misses John Denver. You are right. His voice does grab your soul and takes it to places where no-one else can.
John Denver was a singer songwriter & actor. He had so many great hits in the 70's-80's. Some of his signature songs were "Annie's Song", "You Fill Up My Senses", "Grandma's Feather Bed", "Fly Away", "Leaving On A Jet Plane", "Poems, Prayers & Promises", "Rocky Mountain High", "Calypso", "Sunshine On My Shoulders" etc. John appeared in several films & television specials during the 70's-80's, including the 1977 hit "Oh, God!", in which he starred alongside George Burns.
I love John Denver . I met him once and could not utter a word. I just stared at him and felt his energy. I saw him in concert 3 times. I made him a bracelet and gave it to his security. It was 1986.
Such an amazing singer and songwriter, always telling a story. I have been a fan for over 50 years a d used to watch his concerts on TV. His albums are what I play in my car on long journeys, so moving and the emotion in his voice is so raw.
Hi Sarah! Henry John Deutschendorf Jr, known professionally as John Denver, was an American guitarist, singer, composer, actor, humanitarian, and environmentalist. After the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster on January 28, 1986 with teacher Christa McAuliffe aboard, Denver dedicated his song "Flying for Me" to all astronauts, and continued to support NASA. John Denver was killed in single-fatality crash while piloting a recently purchased light plane in 1997 at age 53. John Denver´s amazing songs will live forever!
Sarah, I am 63 years old and I grew up with John Denver as my favorite singer. To see people like you today like you and your young age gives me hope for the future that there are still tender hearts out there who love John Denver and The Carpenters also. Love❤
John Denver was an amazing song writer, performer and his voice was gorgeous. Definitely listen to Sunshine on my Shoulders and his christmas albums are amazing.
John is my most favorite artist! That concert this song came from was "The Wildlife Concert" which is what I listened to everyday in high school! Some of my favorite songs are "Poems, Prayers, and Promises," "Follow Me," and "Shanghai Breezes" from this concert!
Im surprised I haven't heard this before. I was in loved with his music in the 1970s into the 80s. This must of been late in his career. Thanks for sharing a new song to a big John Denver. Loved this song
John Denver had one of the most beautiful voices and wrote the mosr beautiful songs. He is one of the best singing in Heaven with Karen Carpenter 💕. Another wonderful voice taken too young.
John Denvers music has been a part of my life, everyday, for 50 years. My first 33lp was his album "Rocky Mountain High" I received for my 9th birthday. His song " Sweet Surrender" literally saved my life; when I didn't think, "my life was worth living," his lyrics touched my soul and I realized my life was worth living. John Denver was amazing and his music lives on. I hope you choose to explore his songs; he will lift you up!
I can understand your filling even for me at my very old age ( 80 year ) And Belgian. I follow the life of John and he was for me the best singer. But now he's singing for the angels. I'm so sad when I heard about his death. Amitié Louis. ( ça c'est de la musique ! )
This is one of the greatest love songs ever penned. The late great singer/songwriter John Denver had so many hits. I do not recall one song being bad. Everything he wrote became classics and worldwide sing along songs. He is so loved and revered in Asian countries. He was gone too soon. I miss him dearly. He was one of my favorite singer/songwriters growing up as a young man, now a senior citizen. Love your sincere and heartfelt response.
I adore him. I can’t tell you how many weird looks I’d get in high school when I name him as one of my favorite singers. Lol. I’m gonnA copy and paste this onto all of your John Denver videos. LOL
I have to say that it’s wonderful watching someone younger enjoy the music from my youth. Your reaction is the reaction many felt back in the day. This is one of those cases where your reaction is as meaningful as the song we are listening to. It’s beautiful
Sarah, even more beautiful than John Denver's melody is seeing your sweet soul being touched by it. You have a beauty that very few possess.. Keep the vids coming!!❤❤
He was a Beautiful man I am a male by Beautiful I mean he had a good heart, a caring person with a great voice and a genuine personality. We we lost a great one. TY Ma'am for show casing him.
Thank you so much for sharing this. There have only been a four or five of celebrities in my life for whom I shed tears when they died. John Denver is one of those. I have been a fan of his since I was a little girl and my big sister played his albums all the time. It’s sad how his music has nearly vanished after his early demise. I hope more rediscover his music.
Oh my, what a beautiful, glorious surprise, I have never heard this song before and I have loved John Denver since the beginning of his career. This would be a perfect wedding song. I shared my love of his music with my first granddaughter practically from the day of her birth. To this day (she is 21 now) he is still just as much her favorite as he is mine. I will definitely be sharing this with Aspen. Thank you for sharing and thank you to whomever shared it with you.
Your reaction to this amazing song is so true. Touching. Wish he were still here to share his incredible gift but it’s inspiring to see your reaction that I share every time I play this song.
This is my absolute FAVORITE John Denver & long song EVER! I plan to use it at my wedding to dedicate to my husband. Thank you for reminding me how much I love it!
Thank you for listening all the way through the songs and then giving your reaction, so many reactors stop and start and talk during a performance, that it ruins the enjoyment of listening to a song that we might not have heard before, Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏
What a beautiful heartfelt reaction, Sarah. ♥️ I never heard this one of Denver's songs back in the day. But I have now seen a couple reaction videos to it, and as you say, it is remarkable in every aspect.
Sarah, can you imagine someone loving you so much that they wrote those lyrics for you. I'm not sure I have ever experienced that kind of love but how precious it would be.
I stumbled upon your channel & subscribed. I love so many of John Denver's music/songs. I grew up with his music. But, To my surprise, I never heard this song before. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful song. He is an excellent singer. He has such richness in his tones. Soft, then powerful. Miss him & his music. But, if you want to review of another John Devnver song, please listen to "PERHAPS LOVE". John Denver wrote & sang this song, but he also recorded Perhaps Love with Placido Domingo. I love both versions, but the one with Placido is over the top, due to the different vocal tones & ranges. Please listen to it. If For You makes you cry, Perhaps Love will do the same. Thank you again. Much success on your channel.💥💥
BEAUTIFUL. IT STILL GIVES ME CHILLS!!

There are a lot of beautiful and famous John Denver songs. Check them out!! One is Rocky Mountain High.
I grew up listening to John Denver. I've never heard this song. Annie's Song is my favorite song, the song.
My first hear the song, Phillip arabit cover, from the Philippines, same voice
An avid pilot, Denver was killed in a crash while piloting a recently purchased light plane in 1997 at age 53.
Imagine John Denver and Karen Carpenter singing a duo. The definition of perfection.
They did one for Karen's TV special. It's a corny mix of 2 songs but shows their beautiful voices. On utube.
Denver wrote this for his Australian wife Cassandra Delaney who he met in a bar when he went out with friends
This might be off this topic of John Denver but I recommend listening to Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera sung by Michael Crawford.
Still miss my old friend still today.
i love to watch your reactions. you are the best. i think he should have married you!!!
God called him home a bit early. We could all use a little more John Denver

Frank Sinatra challenged John to write him a sad song. John wrote Frank 'Like A Sad Song". I request John singing Like A Sad Song.
I never knew he played the piano.
