Robin's vibrato was amazing. And the way Barry and Robin could harmonize so seamlessly was simply unreal. It sounded like one voice, but much fuller. Add in Maurice's voice and you've got perfection.
The Bee gees were probably the best group in the 20th century among the top but Robin Gibb by far had the best voice nobody understands that nobody are few people acknowledge Robin Gibb and his voice such awesome voice so unique with such heart
Love their early music especially 60's-70's. You are hearing Robin Gibb's voice in this song "I Started A Joke" from 1968. Some of their other early hits were "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "To Love Somebody", "Holiday", "Massachusetts", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "Words", "The Singer Sang His Song", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Lonely Days", "Melody Fair", "First of May", "Give Your Best", "Lamplight" etc.
I was a teenager went this song came out ,by the Bee Gees , I really thought that's my life they were signing about , and I 😢 cry every time I listen to it.
Wonderful reaction, Sarah. They really were an amazing threesome. If you haven't listened to, "Massachusetts" yet, that's another wonderful song featuring Robin singing lead, with the other brothers coming in on harmonies
Sara- One of my fav Begee songs I started A Joke. This was from the great Robin Gibbs. Another great one he did and I recommend you react to it was a song called Massachusetts.
Hi Sarah! "I Started a Joke" is a song from the Bee Gees 1968 album "Idea" The song reached No.1 in Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Suggestion another amazing live performance "The Bee Gees - Words" The Ed Sullivan Show (1968)
Robin’s voice was always good for the sad songs because of his vibrato. I love Mo’s voice! Check out either Closer than close or Man in the Middle, Maurice sings lead. And you can really hear his voice. His son Spencer sounds so much like him in The Empty Room. Check out Spencer Gibb, he’s got a haunting voice.
I think the word you were looking for is "vibrato" when referring to the "vibrations" and "echos" of his voice. But as usual, great reaction and you are so beautiful!☺
He said things that hurt others and caused them to cry, but it came back on him in the end. Then, when he was the one suffering, the whole world laughed at him. Then, when he died, other people were finally able to live their lives. I always took it to mean that he started the joke but was its ultimate victim, someone who doesn't think or care enough about others and, in the end, maybe other people are better off without him. It's a pretty unique concept for an otherwise seemingly simple old song.
so sad... the only brother left is Barry.. he's buried 3 younger brothers.. I've buried my one sister and it kills me.. I can't imagine what Barry goes through every day
A great bunch of lads with excellent songs. If you have the time have a look at Coldplay - Fix You (Live In São Paulo) - UA-cam.This is my top Coldplay song and this version is magic in my opinion.Cheers young lady and stay safe.
Sarah, love the channel! I also love watching how music moves you. I have one more Bee Gee suggestion as it a more resent song, but one I bet you would love. Please do a reaction to Bee Gees I could not love you more.. (It is a special song as it was my first dance with my wife on our wedding) Please check it out!
