He ultimatively had the last laugh now that he gets to do what he loves every day and that's the best payback you can have.

Protect him at all costs. That Z95 radio station story was described in such detail that I could fully visualize it in my head and made me feel I was completely in Pete's shoes, and I straight up hated those asshole radio show hosts for treating him like that. Pete is one of the greatest storytellers in human history 😎

It honestly never occurred to me that lockers wouldn’t exist in most non-American schools (or at least uk & Australian schools-idk which countries share the lack of lockers)! That’s really funny. We didn’t even have just one locker. Because my school was massive and had a spread out campus, some people in my school had 3 different lockers-a normal locker, a gym locker, and a band/orchestra locker where they’d store their instruments.
In my school, it was almost nerdy to carry your backpack around with you. People often just carried the books for their next few classes and kept their backpack in their locker. I also had a ton of extracurriculars so before I had a car (which I later used to hold all this stuff), I’d keep my books of arias for private lessons, sheet music/scripts for the musical, dance shoes/clothes for dance classes, snacks to tide me over during late rehearsals, etc. in my locker.
And yeah, girls sometimes went all out decorating lockers, but the novelty eventually wore off. I would still keep a magnetic mirror that stuck to the inside of the locker door though, and sometimes would stick photos up with magnets.

    Re: lockers at school
Its really a case by case basis. Every American school I went to only had lockers for PE clothes. And they ranged from little tiny cubbies and at best held your clothes and nothing else to those half-sized lockers that you could just barely get your bag into. Basically, the idea was that they would hold your clothes, some valuables for when you were at PE and _maybe_ your bag. If your bag didn't fit, you just left it nearby and relied on the honor system. At least things like jewelry, phones, game consoles, money, etc could fit in even the smallest locker no problem. There _were_ big lockers, but those were exclusively for kids on sports teams, obviously because they would be staying after school for at least an hour most days and had more gear to store.
Otherwise, no lockers at my five schools. I always found that odd about school shows. We always just carried our bags with us between classes, and I know my bag in particular was pretty heavy, like 15-20 pounds every day. At least for middle/high school, there was no need to bring textbooks along. At the start of the year, you would check out a home text book which would go home and stay there for the entire year, and then the classrooms all had copies for every student. The weight was really the worst at the start and end of the year, because those were the only times you actually had to bring them along.
