Joey's talked of his love of Crystal since at least the gaming 3x3 episode. Hell, he's mentioned that he 100%-ed the game, even breaking timer on it. Nothing is known why tony zhou quit doing videos on his every frame a painting channel, but i believe until convincingly proven otherwise, that after he did his videos on Disney and Marvel music, they either sued him or pressured him to not make videos anymore. The timing may be purely coincidence, but sure is odd he quit after that, even though his channel was running good and from what i know of he never said anything of quiting or stepping back before that. It's just so fucking sad, i loved his style of narration, editing and how he explained all the things and tricks about people in the film industry he loved.

Also hbomberguy with the Sommerton plagiarism scandal
I haven't even finished the segment, but I had a feeling that they would never put him in :(
The iconic manga panel that I think about often is from yotsuba when she's holding the water gun and says "save your excuses for hell"
It's so good
My favourite is definitely Guts putting the hat back on Schierke on the beach. Its a small thing but that part stuck with me for some reason.
top tier yotsuba panel
it's so funny that Joey started off so passionately on including Mother 2, but by the end of it he completely forgot to put it on the final list
The amount of whiplash I experienced in the first 3 minutes really showcases why this podcast is called Trash Taste LOL (I love the boys btw even with their antics)
I dont know how iconic it is but an anime moment that always stood out to me was "my grampa's deck has no pathetic cards, kaiba" and also "Exodia. Obliterate!" from yugioh
Manga panel that goes hard : slamdunk when sakuragi and rukawa high fives its so hard it covered 2 whole page
taking of the weights was also a thing in dragonball but naruto was a bit more dramatic so i can understand why naruto's weights scene is iconic but nothing beats the iconic super saiyan scene
i can't believe they didn't mention Ichigo going Bankai, that shit was absolutely Iconic
@@Archaoen0 ngl having nothing known about the series i only hear about aizen a lot but nothing much about other
am planning to watch the show tho
yeah that's fair, i see that a lot from people outside the fandom.
also i actually recommend reading the manga until the Thousand Year Blood War arc, because there were changes that made a couple characters a little worse or annoying and misused plot points due to te lack of involvement from the author, but of course you'd be missing out on the music and animation and VA.
anyways have a nice day :)@@siva6272
@@Archaoen0It's only known for Bleach fans. Meanwhile even if you haven't watched Dragonball you kinda know what a dude turning blonde with hair upwards means.
@@silentKeys20 not really, bankai is known by a ton of people outside the community.
42:16 Joey trying his hardest to blend in.
LOL
Does Joey like loli?
@@armaanb.6566 His favourite waifu is often the loli character. In RPG games he also designs his character to look like a loli
Chainsaw man's astronaut panel is one of the greatest pieces of art I've ever seen from a manga. Especially with the context and symbolism behind it
I came here from Spotify to mention that they were talking about Femdom for 2 minutes, Joey literally said it, and they were still like "Idk what its called"
Garnt literally did the, "that's the best part" persona meme in that teacher henti tag lmao 💀
2:52 one of the funniest thing mudan ever did with editing😂😂😂😂
I actually agree with Joey that seeing Gear 2nd for the first time was Iconic
Most Iconic Anime Scenes, but no mention of the Nisemonogatari "Toothbrush Scene" 🌚
Bros were talking iconic manga panel and nobody even mentioned vagabond...
which panel
Surprised they didn't mention the final death in Code Geass during the iconic moments prompt, it's widely regarded as the best ending in anime
Its bad when you know right away what Connor is talking about in the intro
Mary jane adapt the best and the worst of doujins...

Actually my favorite doujin lol
> 3 minutes into the video
> “Sunshine is better than Galaxy”
I physically recoiled from hearing that
my insides felt the anger when i heard those words.
The amount of GameCube bias from that whole discussion was disgusting, don't get me wrong it had some banger games but at a certain point you gotta take the nostalgia filter off lol
@@Lucarioguild7melee and double dash were both very high points in their franchises, the wii games that followed could hardly compete
sunshine is just outclassed by galaxy though
@@massivive According to you those are very high points of the series, as far as popularity goes both Mario Kart Wii and Brawl were both much more successful and had a far bigger impact on those franchises as a whole.
@Lucarioguild7 sales are not the sole indicator of quality
The Gamecube was one of Nintendo's worst selling consoles, so there were fewer eyes on its games in general, but those games have retained a community for far longer. In the case of melee, this is because it's a tighter game mechanically than Brawl
the nico robin I want to live moment deserved recognition
I think “Nothing Happened” is the most iconic scene in OP. Definately the scene with the furthest reach.
Nico Robin screaming she wants to live was definitely an iconic moment in one piece. And them all raising their hands in the air
Or gear 5
With the recent news about Akira Sensei i am very much looking forward to the next weeks episode and hopefully they weight in on the matter.
WHERE IS JA
I’ve never felt so seen seeing Gyaru being #2 on the H-list and Joey seemingly wanting it #1 😭
What does gyaru meant tho?
@@aplusmin1497Gal girl
@@aplusmin1497 essentially a fashion subculture that goes against most Japanese norms. Usually typical pretty girl stuff, like having hair/make-up/nails done and more expressive clothing vs. conservative (very valley girl like) they’re also very free-spirited and rebellious typically, again against societal norms. Also other sub-cultures of gyaru split, like tan gyarus having another name called Kuro-Gyarus or ones sporting high school uniforms mixed with their own fashion called Kogals
Character Examples: Marin Kitagawa, Galko-chan, Yukana Yame, Minami Fuyuki
@hidetakamiyazaki1825 Nothing wrong with that, I like both! Traditonal/Modest is super cute and likeable in their own way.
From an American standpoint, Gyarus feel the most down to go with the flow and would be less grated by American customs like not being overly polite compared to Japanese. I'm attracted to this as someone who is extremely extroverted when they get comfortable and I'm all for someone who can match my energy and treat each other as if we've known one another for years upon first meet.
And office ladies ain't even on the list
1:23:15 Dragon Ball scene was the first one correct, Goku gives his clothings to Krilin I believe and he can barely handle them. IIRC they break the floor too. Maybe Kishimoto was referencing that moment, but he just turn up the dial to 11
Definitely a reference
Bro the transition from H3nta1 to Better Help is so cruel yet perfectly done.
Lowkey “exodia obliterate” has got to be one of the most iconic anime scenes
35:50 Connor going "Well Garnt, speak for yourself, ok, what you call 'Mind Break' I call Tuesday" is the hardest I've laughed in a while not only from Trash Taste episodes but in general.
Also I hope Garnt's "Nobody gets hurt during cheating" at 37:19 gets clipped out of context
😭😭😭same
Joey levelled up in my eyes when he said Link to the Past
For iconic anime moments I think Pikachu defending Ash against the flock of Spearow and him seeing Ho-oh is one of the most iconic anime moments
One day I will figure out if this is the same wen li account I come across on like 1/3 the videos I watch or different ones. I would also put the ash and charmander in the rain or the releasing of butterfree up with that moment.
While we're at it let's put the moment where Mr. Mime banged Ash's mom on the list. Truly a hype moment, brought me to tears.
@@danielgwynne7266Probably 😂 But I do see others with the same profile pic as me often too
Yeah with Pokémon it's hard to pick just one iconic moment
I think the Pokémon film when all the Pokémon start crying to brings ash back to life, hit me in feels when I was younger
Tanjiro sun breathing for the first time is a cinematic masterpiece. Iam surprised it's not on top 5 iconic moments.
Iconic anime moment. Motoko falling backwards in the opening scene of Ghost in the Shell or Kaneda's motorcycle slide.
44:30 The category they're thinking of is called Femdom. Don't ask how I know, I heard it from a friend.
23:06 when they said LEAFY a wave of nostalgia hit me
I halfway expected Sydney to fly out of the background to cancel connor in real time on set
Iconic is Super Saiyan, taking weights off, Ashita no Joe’s ending referenced so many times in anime, Axis Shock in Gundam, and the Akira slide. Those are all that come to mind when I think of iconic. Neon Genesis probably has iconic moments too.
Taking weights off is SO iconic
It's different for each person because not everyone has watched everything.
This was a really great episode! I wasn’t sure about it when it started but it pulled me in further as I listened more. The last two lists alone got me thinking about iconic moments and each one they brought up made me rethink my personal lists
Yesss it took you so long to get there, Roy mustang cooking Envy is actually so 🔥
Funny thing is I was thinking about the most iconic bleach scene and for me it's just everytime it goes " SO Baby Now you feel like number one..."
Best TT opening nomination.
With soooo many iconic Ghibli film scenes, I think the image of Totoro standing at the bus stop in the rain is the most recognizable
Good call! I haven't even seen it and I know it!
I think a good litmus test for whether a scene is iconic or not (in my opinion) is "If a random person hears the word anime, what scene comes to mind?"
For something from a relatively newer show, I'd throw in the first time the Colossal Titan looms over the wall in AoT on the list!
I feel like you would need a top 5 UA-camrs in each sort of category like gaming videos, comedy videos, tech videos etc
36:24 Cant believe how fast connor just changed from "F NO F NO F NO" to "YES"
1:27:49 Joey nailed the impression so hard
Fr!
Also his PewDiePie impression
I can't believe this is how I find out trash tastes favorite gen is 2 😭😭😭 truly embodying the name of the show with that one right there
For real! That brought no small amount of rage.
I think they like it for the Red fight. It is the most legendary battle in pokemon after all.
Joey's talked of his love of Crystal since at least the gaming 3x3 episode. Hell, he's mentioned that he 100%-ed the game, even breaking timer on it. Personally, the flaws in gen 1.5 is far too big for me to consider it the best of Pokemon. For me, Pokemon hit its peak in gen 4 with Platinum and then Black and White.
Even if you think Johto is the best region (despite it's many many flaws) putting Gold/Silver over the remakes or Crystal is genuinely insane.
100% . As someone who played original red/blue, yellow, gold/silver and stopped at Crystal -Crysal is the GOAT for me. @@Lucarioguild7
I think Felix beats MrBeast, especially if looking at the ad-Apocalypse 😂. He single-handedly changed the platform for a long time.
I mean wasn’t his sole fault
That's kind of a myth. It was just an unfortunate timing but it was comming either way
For top 5 anime moments, I am glad they mentioned Mustang vs Envy in FMA Brotherhood!
Surprised the ninaxdog from FMA wasn't mentioned at all! Also the zits squeezing thing from Junji Ito is pretty iconic imo 😌
Gotta love how this was immediately after they revealed to Joey they spent $900 on drinks a month ago 🤣🤣🤣
1:44:41 Humunculus! Specifically, the panel of Manabu smiling right at the end of the surgery.
I know they talked about super Saiyan, but ultra instinct is also an incredibly popular moment. Just the first note alone is so recognizable right now lol
Might Guy vs Madara has to be in the top 5 iconic anime moments of all time..
Bro came in swinging at the community willing to make love to skeleton men, he knows what he had wrought upon himself
