i was really surprised when he showed the tiguan right next to him was the one he they tested; at first i thought they had yet to test it, but man what a surprise to see that it held up that well. We drive a tiguan in my family, and boy this makes me feel safer, can't say the same for that kia. now when people ask why bother paying more for german cars, i can just show them this vid.
@Carlover0529 I think what he meant was that he would like the option to not have all the safety stuff because it weighs the vehicle down. That said, most people do want those things standard for the well being of themselves and their family. I rolled a 88 K5 Blazer 3 times at 40 MPH and the roof collapsed down to the top of the steering wheel. The hardtop was removed at the time as well. I crawled out with only a cut on my head and some abrasion to my shoulders. I was wearing my seatbelt. Lucky
So if I roll over in a Tiguan I won't get hurt, and if I roll over in a Sportage, I will be smashed into pieces?!

That would be really hard to control if they did that since rollovers occur in so many different ways. They need a controlled test so the variables are the same for each vehicle.
@TheHorizonhobby Dont worry. It's as safe as the Tiguan even with the Panromanic sunroof equipped. Choose Audi or VW and nothing will go wrong.

@TheHorizonhobby No it actually does very poor for it's high price.
Yellowmusicfreak makes the common error of assuming he can avoid all collisions including the ones where the other guy is shitfaced drunk, insane, asleep, yadda yadda yadda. I hate the fact that my car has front airbags instead of good 4-point harnesses, but I really like having the sidecurtain airbags because wearing a helmet all the time is impractical. Sooner or later someone will run into the side of my car and there will be nothing I can do to prevent it.
