This is untrue. Many say the Kia Sportage however I do not like Kia! I feel maybe the new 3008 will be the best SUV when it is released! Or the new toyota However the Tiguan is just too plain and boring! Every vw looks the same! There are nicer more reliable suvs than the Tiguan!

When are you going to make much stricter tests? Such as the small overlap like the Americans use? These tests should be made difficult to pass so that the car makers have something to reach for.

Again... why are we deploying BOTH curtain airbags in the frontal crashes? The only time a curtain airbag helps in a frontal crash is when it's offset/oblique, and on the side that gets the heaviest impact. In the Euro NCAP test case, only the driver side curtain in the offset. Way to cop out on the airbag engineering by just saying "Ok, any frontal crash gets both curtain airbags" rather than designing them to go off only when they're needed. July 7, 2017 2:26 am

Volkswagen passat safety not very good. New car only gets 87% where as for example a more safe car the Peugeot 508 gets 91%. This Tiguan is the best safety result for Volkswagen!

We need to start testing cars at 60mph (96kph) in newer testing, it will more accurately simulate a collision at highway speeds.
