So, the cars universe says that Lemons are basically disabled cars who have built in issues and need special care to function, and they are framed as the bad guys who want to get back at the world for making fun of them and treating them poorly, and the film never acknowledges that the way Lemons are treated might be wrong and only to maintain the flawed status quo that caused the conflict in the first place. I know that this unfortunate implication was not intended because they did not think any of this movie through whatsoever did they. They kicked the original director of Brave out because John Lasseter didn’t like women, but he got to make his Cars go to Europe fan fiction. Yeah, he should have been kicked out of the studio sooner. Replace the cars with humans and get uncomfortable about what the film might be saying.
Well if disabled people gained power theoretically, and wanted to kill millions of innocents and make mega corporations to make money off of that wouldnt you want to stop them, i mean they did suffer sure but the world doesnt have to pay, especially not because someone makes fun of you, its as if hitler getting kicked out of art school somehow was enough justification for killing millions, you see where im going? The evil cars in cars 2 are like that, yes they suffered but caused even more suffering, also they shoulve known they would lose, they are worse cars than the new models in every way
