I got a crossmember for my 1984 Monte Carlo SS from honest charlies he specializes in g-body parts a long time ago in the late 90s for a 700r4 transmission when the car had a old style 383 smallblock in 2008 the engine was swapped to a LS2 and the header collectors didn't line up with the humps in the crossmember so my mechanic cut it in half and rewelded it back together painted it and installed it its still in the car and have never had a problem with it l don't think Honest Charley sells these anymore but jegs sells one that looks identical for 128 dollars it will need to be cut and rewelded so the collectors line up with the hump on the collectors hope this helps
