This is the absolute most FANTASTICALLY detailed and well explained, let alone super digestible, presentation of archeology and completely unexplainable ancient structures. Somehow documentaries like this are seen as out of the "mainstream of science". And then blow the mainstream out of the water. So. Many. Examples. In this video are impossible with today's technology. We as a civilization cannot yet comprehend how these feats were achieved. More research into the reality of how these sites were constructed and what these MACHINES were really purposed for is how we discover the same technologies that our ancient ancient ancestors once used to construct these wonders. In a way backed by architects and mechanics and engineers and stonecutters and stonemasons. Not the mainstream researchers.

There is such a huge opportunity for an archaeologist to take the reigns here and bring it to the mainstream, to tell the truth. Such a massive opportunity to be the spearhead that answers all our questions. Archaeology leaves us with gigantic gaps and questions never ending. The sumerian texts, egyptian kings lists all reveal how old we are, all the ancient civilizations around the world tell exactly the same story but archaeology writes it all off as coincidence and myth. Its insane.

Wow! I'd never seen that before. I already knew the outward facing lines (between the blocks) of many ancient sites were already incredible and intricate (not just rectangular flat surfaces which would be easier to create), and incredibly precise, but I had no idea that the interior dimensions (nonvisible surfaces between the blocks) were that precise, and not flat surfaces (twisted). That's insane.
I've worked in a rock quarry for several years, on softer stone. I don't think people realize how difficult it is to do that. Using modern equipment, you'd have to saw the stone (at minimum) from it's most outward facing corner (or edge), and then grind down the remaining surfaces (by hand) to fit the exact nonlinear surface to fit with the other block (which you'd also have to mirror, by hand). Modern grinding/polishing tools (except really expensive computer controlled machines) are meant to carve away material on a flat plane, not on nonlinear surfaces. This would either have to be done by hand (extremely labor intensive just for one block, and not precise), or be done by complex computer assisted machinery. Even forming the nonlinear surface template (to measure against while working), and then mirroring it for the adjoining block, is very difficult (borderline impossible for ancient peoples given the standard model explanations).
Absolutely incredible. I'm not curious how the Egyptian blocks are like on the interior surfaces.
Unless one has a way to make the stone pliable. Resonance (using sound or kinetic waves (banging or rapping) as a motive force) or perhaps magnetics, or perhaps both are the key.
@@Zorander2008 I don't even think you need to go that far. Evidence like this begs the question: why would they build their structures in the most difficult ways possible, when there are easier methods. This complexity adds orders of magnitude more work, and according to the standard model, is completely unnecessary. Modern engineers will tell you the same thing. You don't massively over engineer something without some reasoning behind it. You don't build needless complexity into your work (and with these structures, they're already massive, in terms of size and manpower) without some reasoning behind it. At some point, even with modern machinery today, the complexity of these structures becomes unsound purely from a construction and manpower standpoint. It's simply not worth the time and effort to make these things. There's obviously more to these structures than what the standard model says, and it belies reason that primitive humans with primitive tools made these structures, and then made them needlessly complex, making their jobs way, way harder, if not impossible. We also see this seemingly needless complexity in the smaller artifacts as well (like the granite Egyptian vases currently being scanned).
@@eamonnholland5343 you’re looking at it thru a modern lens. We don’t know the methods, so we cannot really say how complex it would be. It’s a matter of scale and solving for that problem: to mass produce.
I don’t believe that primitive tools can be used to achieve certain things we see that exist and have impeccable provenance. Therefore, to accomplish something like the vases and the pyramids and other great structure that’ve lasted the test of time, you need to solve the scale problem and explain that also. Only methods that make the work trivial will suffice.

I've worked in a rock quarry before (in much softer stone than granite), with steel hammers and chisels, pry bars, electric grinders, sanders, and polishers, 2 foot circular saws, 6 foot circular saws, 10 foot circular saws, massive front end loaders, fork lifts, and other very large machinery to cut and process rocks, and I can say that what the ancient peoples created is incredibly difficult to make, even with today's machinery. That's what I was attempting to point out with my previous comment. Even with today's machinery, what the ancient peoples did would be unfeasable in terms of economics and manpower. And yet, they supposedly made these works with copper chisels and pounding stones, which makes it several orders of magnitude more unfeasable.
There's a video that the UA-cam channel Scientists Against Myths did to "debunk" the precision stone vases that Ben and others have been talking about, where they attempted to create a "precise" stone vase using primitive methods, and it took two people 2 years to make it, and it's nowhere near as precise as the vases that have been looked at thus far. That time frame to create just 1 vase is wildly impractical, and there are tens of thousands of these ancient vases that were created. The ancient peoples clearly had a much more efficient and refined process than what the standard model says.

Next time you visit Cusco, you should try and schedule for December. The reason being, and I know this is a small detail and one you possibly don't ever consider but the sky, the cloud formations specifically are unbelievably beautiful at that time of the year. It's unreal, it looks like the most stunning oil painting from one of the greatest of artist!
Many years back I had a Peruvian girlfriend who's favourite holiday resort was Cusco. She would go at least one sometimes twice a year. She took me there, showed me Machu Pichu, as well as a handful of cities and villages, and a wonderful Amazon resort. Ignoring the heartbreak of the relationship ending, what's notably upsetting is I went there under the vale of mainstream archeological fantasy, having no understanding of what I was actually looking at. As we'd viisit the ancient sites, or wander through little musems, I assumed, as she 'knew' that everything was created by the Incas! Looking back now I saw all that through the eyes of a child; not in age, far from it, but in terms of naivety.
There's another site, a view, that I imagine is missed by many, and while it's possibly not exactly up your street, it's an image I'll never forget, and wish everyone could experience; the night sky with the Milky Way as clear as I've ever seen it. I know this sounds like I spent too long looking up towards the sky but Peru, at such an altitude is breathtakingly beautiful, in nature as much as it is in ancient architecture and artifacts. How I experienced this was a happy accident. Being so familar with the location and generally laid back my ex managed to have us turn up for that train, the one connecting a couple of the last villages before the coach ride to Macchu Pichu, late. She managed to find us a local who'd traveled by car to take us back to the village (forget the name) where we were staying. And it was during that trip down the mountain, at night, with a clear sky, I saw the night sky as I'd never seen before. Absolutely stunning. In other words, if you take the train back to that closest village (or wherever you're staying) you'll miss out on this.
Anyway, long story, short... I'm so pleased that one of your videos randomly turned up in a recommended list, it was one you'd created showing the circular saw marks in a large stone, at Giza, which led me to watch many more... which led me to Hancock's videos and interviews, and essentially answer a burning question I'd had since high school... how did the Egypians make the pyramids. And now I know the answer is; they didn't!!! I look forward to learning more from you and others investigating the genuine science of discovery into humanity's lost past.
Almost forgot. If you haven't done it already, you have to climb that mountain next to Machu Pichu. When I was there, my ex told me that the authorities were letting fewer people go, and we were lucky enough to be the last two allowed on that day; so it's something to plan for and be organised with, to ensure you don't miss out. Just getting to the top is an adventure in itself, but the view once at the top is stunning.

Damn, I thought this was a new video BAM. I really liked the Barabar videos too! I make point clouds for a living and have a big fascination with this topic. My dream would be to make point clouds of all the old buildings and site. I work with a better laserscanner too, more accurate more points and faster especially if you take all scans in color! On 1:56:10 you see an old Faro S120 laserscanner. It would take for approximately for the same settings the Faro scanner 6 minutes per scan in color and a Leica rtc360 1,5 minutes per scan in color. So Ben, if you ever go again on a field trip. I would love too join you and make some scans😃

How long has the human civilization been around to document each and all of these eras, to the sum of almost 26,000 years? In our time, we have a fragmented picture of what happened 2000 years ago but they kept at it for 26,000 years?
This is a very good question. Some say that human cultures can be up to 800.000 year old. So our ancestors could build on their ancestors and I would say the priests and the church (of any kind) used to be the institutions where this knowledge could survive.

We have to consider that 12,800 years ago the earth was centered on it's axis before the impact. Also we hear of giants that (could have), walked back then and could have been used to place the block? Plus could have the atmosphere been different back then before the impact? Some people don't jump to the ancient alien theory because it's easy to justify these achievements, it's not because they're stupid. It's because there are numerous accounts of ancient records saying very clearly: they came from the sky and built this in a day; plus thousands of records talking about the sky people, their skills and their knowledge and how they taught humans what we know; plus thousands of records of these sky people. Just like mainstream history researchers live in denial (or want to deny) about the real age and technology used in these buildings, some alternative researchers want to be in denial about the fact that there are thousands of records of earth being colonized by aliens who built all this. That's why no one can find the machines, the blueprints or the names of the designers - they took it. They didn't build just these megaliths, but also much more recent so called temples like cathedrals.

What if ancient builders happened upon some accurate method of building before a less accurate one, negating the need to develop other methods?
It is possible. They could have used some kind of try and error system and develop a accurate method party by chance. Things like this are also known in 'modern' science. The question still remains why they used so huge blocks and where come all the peculiarities related to measurement?
Precision is increased ONLY when required and need for a specific function.
No ancient structure, be it the best and most costly palaces, statues, or ornaments needed/were made to such precision as those caves.
The caves in India, the ancient Egyptian vases (measured by Uncharted X) the giant Egyptian statues (measured by Christopher Dunn), some of the Egyptian boxes, are the few that show a level of precision that is CLEARLY beyond the ancient people of that time. We would have a very hard time to replicate those jobs today. I don't know if we could replicated those caves in India even today.

I find it odd they are all abandoned and ruined. How is it all over the world they where left to crumble or people didn't know they where there. I guess after thousands of years all our stuff would be gone, least they made their stuff from stone
The evolutionary development of the human brain is gradual to which you must agree(?). The current evolutionary stage of our brain is 200 to 300 thousands years old and I would say it's reasonable to suggest humanity didn't get that smart without doing activities that yield a brain like this, aka math and other complicated brain activities. Thus we have an incredible long time to thinker with what we can observe, with knowledge, science and more. It's less likely if you follow this reasoning that we ran around in the forest and suddenly after the ice-age in the last 4% of the 200 to 300 thousands years we suddenly become advanced (landing on Mars, etc) without any foreplay...
But this isn't even the most important thing to pull out from all of this: this documentary and Graham Handcock & Co is trying to do is to point out anomalies - mysteries! Which is why and how we have science: to investigate everything that isn't yet 8+8=16 or measurable reality.
But trolls will hate and that is okey, to me you're just cute toddlers that don't get what science is (a way of investigating what we don't know). They will never be there when insane discoveries are made, but we will.
(My hunch in this topic is that the subject of Acoustics (as in another angle of viewing reality) is massively under-estimated, under-funded and over-looked topic, but has a brilliant potential waiting for the curious over the horizon. I'm sure Nikola Tesla and a few others will be sitting on the other side together with the ancient builders.
Since the consequence is so small for writing what I am about to write, I'll say this, I for one am and will dedicate A LOT of time in my life to build companies and more just to fund science, and especially and definitely this topic. Because considering all mysteries out there, from string theory, to Consciousness, to The Nature of Dark Energy, to P vs NP Problem - this is the most fascinating mystery ever.
And I love mysteries, it's the cracks in the Matrix where the light shines in.
So to all enthusiast for this topic out there, stay kind, rigorous and open, crowd-fund the people who investigate and let's continue seeing where this go. In the worst case we're where we started, in best-case we've might unlock something absolutely brilliant.
Perhaps a new energy source, a way to build structures, a deeper understanding of reality that in sum could give more people the resources they need to explore their potential (in this infinite universe) we all share for a brief blipp in the story of everything.

For the Incan stuff to have been constructed using the official methods you would have to of had every single Incan working day and night 24/7 just to shape the rocks. it would take months and months to shape a single rock. it doesn't make sense. then you have to consider the time to move them up and down valleys and sheer cliffs.
and how to fit them precisely even curving three-dimensionally. trial-and-error fitting would be too resource intensive as opposed to simply stacking uniformly sized blocks like all other cultures have done.
