Like you Maya, I had to move from my NYC apt and I couldn't take everything. I moved just last week. Gave away my precious doll collection, a host of brand new clothes as well as furniture. I am now free to pursue the things that I love, and may even head out to LA to continue with performing. It was a process, but I'm thankful. I love this video! Thanks for inspiration!!! And boy, when God is telling you it's time to move and leave stuff behind, it's our job to listen, because he is preparing for our next endeavor. It may not seem like it at the time, but he is. Just listen to him and move. Even if you have to take it day by day. Like right now, I don't have a permanent home as of yet, I'm with my sister, but God told me to move now, and it wasn't easy. Shameless Maya I donated to Alaska is a Drag, sent LaToya baby gifts from her shower registry, once a month I go through McDonald's drive-thru and pay for at least three cars that are in the line behind me, sent at least two other YT'ers gifts because I thought of them when I saw items they might like, donate clothing/household items to Canadian Diabetes Association and Goodwill, have a portfolio on Kiva and loaned to three people in need, and most recently helping to take care of my sister's children because she just died.

I was at KFC one day and I saw this guy go up to the counter and ask how much was a cookie. I guess he didn't have enough money for the cookie. So after I got done eating my food I bought 3 cookies and gave it to him. I know it's not much but I felt good about it.

I never will forget the day her prom came and the locks for love came and gave her a beautiful wig. they turned her into a Cinderella and she went to her prom fierce and feeling beautiful. people like u made that day possible for her. thank you xoxox

I gave my ipod away to a driver in Kenya who I knew would never buy something like that because he put his family first when it came to finances. I gave money to a struggling family in Egypt. I helped someone from Japan make a police report about a theft in the U.S. I helped them fill out the forms because they knew very little English. In high school I stood up for international students that got bullied. I used to give my school lunch to on of my friends because her parents never made her one or gave her money. I helped raise $3000 for a school to be built in Kenya.

The list of shameless acts is long lol. I believe in doing it everyday and anyway. Whole entire life. Some would be when I was homeless me and my mom gave things to the other homeless people. Pots and pans free of charge. That always sits with me cause here we were just as homeless and still giving. I used to braid hair in exchange for a smile or babysit while some moms went on interviews. I just like giving.

If I see a stray I would call it in and I occasionally like to move snails who are crossing the sidewalk to the grass so they don't get squished :3

Maya you are so awesome! I love ya and LOVED this video!! About 3 years now my Pops had a major heart attack. He flat lined 5 times, yeah 5 times. His heart was damaged so badly that is at 18% output, but by the grace of God, you'd never know. He had to take a very early retirement at the age of 54. I had lived on my own since the age of 18. I gave up my place and pretty much put life on hold and moved back home to help my parents. I don't call what I did and am doing as selfless, I just call it love. My parents raised and loved me and I am supposed to always be there for them too. Stay blessed and beautiful girl!
Hi Shameless. I exchange clothes with other Moms. Kids grow very fast and we got together to help each other out by exchanging our kid's clothes. I would also like to say thank you. By sharing stories from your past, you have encouraged me. I have recently become a single mother of 3. My spouse chose to walk out. I was hurt and upset about it. Watching this video made me laugh and laughter is helping me heal. I know that my kids and I will be fine. Hey luv! Out of one Sunday every month I take a day off from my regular Vet Tech job to volunteer as the surgery/anesthesia tech for sweet little bunnies. Every Sunday we help 35 rabbits with spay/neuters and what ever repairs they need on their bodies. A lot of them are abandoned in boxes and toss into a field to die. The group I work for is called the Rabbit Haven of Santa Cruz. People don't know how amazing a rabbit can be as a companion. Imagine a sweet innocent bunny hopping to you as you enter your home. Sharing my vegan meal with my bunny friend is such a treat knowing I helped an innocent soul.
Today I went to the grocery store to buy some gravy and there was an old man in front of me who's card wasn't working so I bought his groceries for him. He smiled so hard his teeth fell out lol :):)
I have many, my most recent as you may already know girl, was helping an old friend obtain her hearing aids... And, of all the you-tubers, you were the only one who donated! 4 more weeks and they arrive. Bless Ya Girl! Cute vid. As always Maya... You rock. Xo Jessica
OMG! You are absolutely amazing! I can't sit here and cry in uniform because I'm a Soldier!....Like, for real. LOL! Seriously though, you are a positive motivator and your acts of kindness are immeasurable. At work, I help co-workers get caught up with their work, even if I am not on their team. I also take gifts to the after school care ladies, housekeepers at work (I even take my own trash out and hand it to them), daughter's teacher and bus driver on Christmas, Valentine's and Easter, just to let them know that they are very appreciated and never forgotten.
I remember during the winter time it was pretty bad for Massachusetts. All the snow came at once and it was just horrid. After, ice was left in some places. I was at school and I was on my way to another building when I saw an older woman walking trying not to fall. The front of the sidewalks had ice on them and that was where she was standing. She reminded me of my late grandmother and I was determined to help her so I walked over and asked her if she needed help. She told me yes and I took her hand and help her get on the sidewalk safe and sound. I felt good for the rest of the day and I knew that God would send blessings my way. Shameless Maya
Its not as much as others but I show kindness, love and compassion everyday I am at work as a CNA in a nursing home. I have a soft spot for the elderly and young children.

Oh, loved this so much! Awesome Maya ♥ Acts of kindness should be a part of our daily lives. I just try to be a caring person, offer sympathy if I see someone not doing so well, be respectful and patient with elderly or anyone really. One of the things I am proud of, is creating and then donating a painting to an organization who helps people with disabilities to raise money at a fundraiser. I've also found things, money, jewelry and always tried to return it to the rightful owner.

His heart was damaged so badly that is at 18% output, but by the grace of God, you'd never know. He had to take a very early retirement at the age of 54. I had lived on my own since the age of 18. I gave up my place and pretty much put life on hold and moved back home to help my parents. I don't call what I did and am doing as selfless, I just call it love. My parents raised and loved me and I am supposed to always be there for them too. Stay blessed and beautiful girl!

Hi Shameless. I exchange clothes with other Moms. Kids grow very fast and we got together to help each other out by exchanging our kid's clothes. I would also like to say thank you. By sharing stories from your past, you have encouraged me. I have recently become a single mother of 3. My spouse chose to walk out. I was hurt and upset about it. Watching this video made me laugh and laughter is helping me heal. I know that my kids and I will be fine. Hey luv! Out of one Sunday every month I take a day off from my regular Vet Tech job to volunteer as the surgery/anesthesia tech for sweet little bunnies. Every Sunday we help 35 rabbits with spay/neuters and what ever repairs they need on their bodies. A lot of them are abandoned in boxes and toss into a field to die. The group I work for is called the Rabbit Haven of Santa Cruz. People don't know how amazing a rabbit can be as a companion. Imagine a sweet innocent bunny hopping to you as you enter your home. Sharing my vegan meal with my bunny friend is such a treat knowing I helped an innocent soul.
Today I went to the grocery store to buy some gravy and there was an old man in front of me who's card wasn't working so I bought his groceries for him. He smiled so hard his teeth fell out lol :):)

OMG! You are absolutely amazing! I can't sit here and cry in uniform because I'm a Soldier!....Like, for real. LOL! Seriously though, you are a positive motivator and your acts of kindness are immeasurable. At work, I help co-workers get caught up with their work, even if I am not on their team. I also take gifts to the after school care ladies, housekeepers at work (I even take my own trash out and hand it to them), daughter's teacher and bus driver on Christmas, Valentine's and Easter, just to let them know that they are very appreciated and never forgotten.
I remember during the winter time it was pretty bad for Massachusetts. All the snow came at once and it was just horrid. After, ice was left in some places. I was at school and I was on my way to another building when I saw an older woman walking trying not to fall. The front of the sidewalks had ice on them and that was where she was standing. She reminded me of my late grandmother and I was determined to help her so I walked over and asked her if she needed help. She told me yes and I took her hand and help her get on the sidewalk safe and sound. I felt good for the rest of the day and I knew that God would send blessings my way. Shameless Maya
Its not as much as others but I show kindness, love and compassion everyday I am at work as a CNA in a nursing home. I have a soft spot for the elderly and young children.

Oh, loved this so much! Awesome Maya ♥ Acts of kindness should be a part of our daily lives. I just try to be a caring person, offer sympathy if I see someone not doing so well, be respectful and patient with elderly or anyone really. One of the things I am proud of, is creating and then donating a painting to an organization who helps people with disabilities to raise money at a fundraiser. I've also found things, money, jewelry and always tried to return it to the rightful owner.
