Tbf terran has literally always been either the best race or second best. They're very stable due to the fact they have the best core units. With zerg and protoss either being equal with terran with a few great units or just worse
Being the GOAT Serral in Saudi Arabia, might just have been too much of an evironmental problem for him. The man was clearly struggling with the intense heat. The last game was not an Ace match. If Maru would have won, they would have played on another map. Ace match only happens when the series is tied at the end of the allocated map count.
I just realized that Zerg can counter widow mines by burrowing all targets, removing the lock-on, then unborrowing one and forcing the widow mine to target wherever it goes. Without burning a scan or having it nearby detection, Zerg can more deliberately use the mine to kill the Terran. Or, with really cute micro, use borrow/unborrow/burrow to just waltz by without getting locked onto at all.
It's not actually a counter. Counter means it's strong against. If i was a terran and my widowmines forced the zerg to burrow his entire army, even for a couple of seconds, i consider that value for the widowmine. Same thing with the burrow/unborrow zigzag movement. The widowmine essentially becomes a massive slowing field. In other words, it benefits the widowmine more than the zerg player to avoid being hit, so it's the opposite of a counter.
I really want someone to start using the phrase "Mr. Rogers strategy" for Crimson Court when one player builds a base just to mine out the yellow minerals and attack their opponents "neighboring" base ;)
