Hey Super Dan, you show a lot of moxie with all the projects you have done and you gotta love that Black Beauty Cherokee. I have a 96 Jeep Cherokee Classic RWD black (I hope to convert it into a 4WD) and the lower end of the liftgate support strut bolt had completely wacked out by braking the bolt nut that is on the inside of the frame rail. Well the nut fell and on my Cherokee. I and about 3-4 other folks have been thinking about a fix. Well i finally came up with one as to keep it OE. I wrapped a nut with a hose clamp then slipped a electrician's metal fish-tape though it and was able to get it to get into the right position enough to get the stud started ! She tightened up and now I dont have to modify a strut mounting. I would send you a pic but my waterheaded self doesnt know how too!!!
Thank you for this video, Dan. It's exactly what I needed to see to get the inspiration for adding an external cooler to my WJ. My new radiator developed the slow drip drip drip at the trans line fittings and was wanting to add an external anyway. If you had to do it over again, would you still get the Hayden 678, or would you choose a different size and if so, which size? And, would you mount it in the same place? It looks like part of the fins goes below the crossmember. I guess it's a trade off between sir supply to the cooler and air supply to the condenser.
I'm enjoying the wj content, hopefully you can get the title to your wj soon 😂. Also if you still have those 5 spoke rims from this one, they would look nice on your wj ; ). Personally I'm not too fond of the overland ones lol .
Great video I want to do the same to my wj but want it to add a cooler with a fan but would it be better with a switch to turn it off and on the trail or what would be the best way so the fan can turn on ?
Hey Dan! Always enjoy your content and sense of humor. In your vast store of Jeep parts, would you happen to have a power steering bracket with the belt tension adjuster? I did the intake upgrade on the Bumble Jeep and the original power steering bracket required extensive modification to make it almost work. Squeaks something fierce. I saw the bracket I need in a manifold upgrade video by Nickintimefilms channel. Our yards around here are picked pretty clean for Jeep parts. Let me know if you have one, how much you want and any other details. God bless, stay well.
@@ProjectDanH Mine is a 95 XJ sport. Not sure what the "new" intake came off of. The guy I bought a lift gate for the glass had it laying around. I had seen a ton of videos on the intake swap (none of which mentioned the need to use new mounting brackets for the power steering pump) so when I saw the intake, I made him an offer and bought it. Aside from the noisy belt, it's been an improvement. I can link the video that shows the bracket I need if that will help. (send the link)

Hi, I'm from Mexico but I understand your language a little, could you tell me what is the cooler for or what is its purpose? I await your answer, since I follow you because I want to fix my 96 and 99 grand cherokee cars
we got a store-bought transmission cooler because basically I broke the one inside the radiator. 🤦♂️ all vehicles withautomatic transmissions should have a transmission cooler somewhere. thank you so much for watching
Good morning friend ... I have a problem with my wj overland motor 4.7 has a hydro-fan system and it is overheating me. My question is whether this system uses a pwm relay or not ???
which trans line does the radiator upper/return line connect back to on transmission. I removed them from that line to be able to take out busted radiator, as the old lines were seized on cracked radiator. help a girlout
the trans fluid exits the trans from the front of the trans through the high pressure line into the bottom of the rad cooler, then out of the top of the rad cooler (from here you can splice in an additional cooler) then it goes into the return line to the rear of the trans.
How'd it shift ? The dipstick was so close to the hot side of the battery Is was trying to move it from my phone 🤣 On the lower plastic paint did he use adhesion promoter so it sticks to the plastic good ? I was thinking of doing mine but I might just swap for limited panels they look better to me idk if I can find some in my color or black .
Washed with detergent, sanded gently with high grain wetordry sandpaper and washed again. The used duplicolor trim and bumper spray paint. After heavy rain...looks great!
Yes, we thoroughly prepped it. he spent half the day scuffing it, washing it, degreasing it, and priming it. it came out great. the best part is, if it gets scuffed that paint is only $6.99 for a quick re-spray. There is a black WJ with painted trim in the peconic auto wrecker yard in Remsenburg LI, out by me.
@@ProjectDanH can't beat that I been using tire shine on them and it cost just as much and comes off in the rain so I might be doing this on a warm day soon .
I know man. the real video was shot on the highway with the belt on... but there was too much road noise and you couldn't hear me.. so during editing I jumped back in the Jeep and went down the block real quickly.. but forgot to click it again! my bad.
I use a heat gun instead of a torch It's much cleaner. In this case we had to paint them because the rear bumper we got from the junkyard was Driftwood color while the side skirts were the gray. now they all match 👍
painting the bumpers and side panels really make the WJ look awesome once again
Yea buddy! It really make it look new. It's nice to have a clean uniform trim color 💪
Well he did a great job on lubricating the undercarriage of the WJ

I used to have a manual override for my E-fan on my XJ. It worked very well but it tripped a voltage CEL.
