Heath and I don't often eat out during our travels, but opt to cook most of our meals in our tiny RV. So finding a good grocery store is a must, although Heath takes reviewing grocery stores a little TOO seriously.

We love browsing grocery stores in other countries, checking out different options and trying to figure things out (good luck finding "raisins" in Australia), always interesting and you never know where you'll find your new favorite food. Pastry is usually a great place to start!

Try two weeks in the field during an exercise without a proper wash... marching, patrolling and digging every day, re using underwear and socks that you've tried to clean in a ditch and dried (5 changes doesn't last 14 days).
I think the grass edging outside the barracks wilted when we marched past...

We have the same love affair with Lidl, in Europe. so cheap, and I love going in various countries. In spain there's cured ham hocks, in France so much cheese and even frozen snails, Italy smoked cheese and antipasti, always 2 Euro wine.....

Oh,Tim Tams are Australian Cookies/biscuits,the NZ ones are Chitchats ,and the chocolate is far superior,you can taste the difference, get the double chocolate ones,also the Macaroons,they are both Griffins brand.The Macaroons are best at room temperature, enjoy.

Make sure you try the Whittaker's chocolate,coconut and Hazelnut are both delicious,but their Belgian chocolate milk is heavenly,not cheap ,but damn good!

Don’t understand why you haven’t had showers. Plenty of dump stations available. We manage about 3/4 days wild camping in a similar motorhome, showering etc everyday.
