First thing you need to know... You gonna travel through a mindblowing landscape and will be stunned by how nice the Kiwis are! If it wasn't 30 hours flight from my country, I'd visit every weekend!!
I'm from Middle East and I find racism almost everywhere in the world but never experienced racism in NZ during my 5 years of studying. Nice country friendly people and stunning scenery
Sorry to say, but we do have racists. However as white people voted for Trump I think whites like me may sound a bit silly trying to claim we are better than others.
DePeaceHunter awesome!! I hope you enjoy your time here in New Zealand :) for the most part we are a welcoming relaxed people... there's always a few bad people, but such is life. 👍
+Barraccuda My brother lives in Wanganui, I live in Palmerston North which isnt far away from there, its a great place to raise kids too, as I have had an amazing childhood there already! :)
Just keep in mind that the weather can be quite annoying at times, as it is most likely that you'll experience all 4 season's in 1 day. So choosing suitable attire can sometimes be difficult.
It's the same here in Sweden haha but the weather is even shittier. It's cold most of the time even in the summers and it's raining a lot too. It's 30 degree Celsius a couple of days in the summer other than that it is mostly 15-25. Is it the same in New Zealand or it's just warmer although the temperatures are quite similar to Sweden? Because i mean your landscape is completely different to Sweden but the difference is we have all 4 seasons and it get really cold in the winter, and in Sweden 20 degrees could be 'cold'. I really wanna know if it's WARM in New Zealand with those temperatures, is it tropical weather and heat? If somebody knows please help!! lol.
Ana Mira I think I would like the climate in Sweden as I hate the heat in summer and prefer winter. As for the NZ climate: The South Island is typically colder in winter depending on region 10C - 15C max. Even colder in mountainous areas. North Island is typically 15C - 20C max but there is a lot of variation again depending on the region. East is typically drier than the west. Central regions get snow but snow can also fall to sea level in the south island during winter. Summer is more about micro climates. The hottest and coldest places are probably both in central south Island. East is typically hotter, sunnier and drier. Average summer max ranges from 20C in Dunedin to 26C in northern regions. Napier has a more stable sunnier and drier summer and wetter winters while Dunedin is changeable with rain more evenly spread throughout the year. There are no tropical areas in NZ. The far north might be considered sub-tropical as the winters are mild. Auckland tends to be warm and humid in summer. Hope that helps.
I'm from Scotland and this sounds identical to Scotland. Welcoming, friendly people, drive on the left, four seasons in a day and beautiful scenery. We are so lucky to live in such beautiful countries.

And finally, the accent: The Kiwi accent varies in different parts of New Zealand. I'm from Wellington, and I sound quite different to that. And as you get further south, the r's get more pronounced and people start sounding slightly Scottish.
+Ilona Mackinnon There's a lot of discrimination towards Asians in Auckland and Hamilton. Hamilton is a disaster with the gangs. I got sick of getting robbed there.
whatta ya raving on about man. Aucklands a disaster it's fulla Polynesian wanna be gangsters and everyone hates all the Asians coming over and fucking the property market for locals.
+Ilona Mackinnon I think the Racism thing comes from where we used to be towards them between the 40-s and 60's but we've all moved on from a phase in history known as the yellow peril.
Don't forget to wave when you pass anyone waiting for you to get across a single lane bridge even if you had right of way, it's just what we do :) And watch out for 1. Kiwis always under estimate time of journey especially for tourists. If they say 5 hours. Plan on 8 hours so you can see the sites on the way. 2. Kiwis are shocking on the open road. Pretty polite in towns and cities but can feel aggressive on the open road. They tail gate, so best just to pull over frequently or slow right down to allow a person to get passed. 3. All Kiwis think it's tourists that cause all the accidents when only 3% of accidents in NZ are caused by a tourist P.S I am a Kiwi
It's awkward when I receive tips, even if I try to give the money back they won't take it, so I have to put it in the till because you can't accept "gifts" from customers. It's better to just pay what you owe and keep the rest for another day kekekekeke
86nugget19 No, they don't. I'm not sure where you got your information from but it's wrong. Tipping is not done in New Zealand. If you've ever seen someone tip in NZ then that's because it was either a foreigner that wasn't aware they didn't need to, or someone who has money to throw around and feels the waiter deserved some extra money because they did an excellent job. Mind you the latter only happens very very rarely. I know a lot of people who work in hospitality, from small cafes to high end restaurants. Tipping is not done here.

***** Good to hear about Christchurch. Thanks for the update and can't wait to visit NZ again. The scenery, people, cheese, and wine! :) All make me smile. The green container mall sounds very exciting too.
+Blogger Sihwa Christchurch? Is that the name of a town? This country looks so beautiful and amazing, I have a feeling when I visit I wont wanna leave.
+Conrad Ritchie Yeah Christchurch is one of the main cities in South Island. There is an international airport in Christchurch and you will start your journey from the beautiful city. Sadly there was a massive earthquake in there a few years ago so most of landmarks were badly affected, some of them collapsed. :( But I heard that many works have been done and it has new features now. I bet it is still beautiful. Surely you will fall in love. I t was just breathtaking and very impressive. I think that is why I still remember every part of my journey. Kiwis are very kind and helpful too. So if you have any problems, you will get helps without any problems. I wish I could visit there again, someday I will!!! :)
+Zazzle Delacruz That is not unreasonable, we are very accommodating to visitors. How much time do we have and please specify how many lanes you prefer
The biggest problem with tourist and beautiful New Zealand is.( THE RENTAL CARS AGENCY )People come from another country.. off the plane to the car rentals.then they drive left.. but as soon as they pull in for petrol or any stop.when they return to drive. they forget to stick to the left.then comes the head on car cashes.. and local bitterness from pains of death.this video is great.. please teach the car rentals to accommodate you in making your point.( so proud to see you sharing this to visitors in advance.. well done people. - big love )
I came on my official trip to Wellington more than 5 years ago. This time I am coming back and will do a self driving tour of North and South Island. The info helps in a way. Thank you.
Another thing (I think) that is worth mentioning. If you're from the united states, there may be foods here in New Zealand that some people can't eat without having problems that you could eat in the US. I could eat any commercially grown eggs in the US, but commercially grown eggs in NZ give me cluster migraines. I could eat any soy sauce in the US but even Kikkoman soy sauce in NZ makes me feel like I have the flu. I could see not putting something like that in your video as it probably doesn't apply to many people, and I'm not griping, just a good tidbit. I know quite a few kiwis that can't eat those foods here either. If you're only here to visit and don't have time to figure stuff like that out it could really ruin your day.
Well this is by far the best video I've seen about NZ. Planning a trip for maybe next year with my mom, mainly to explore the Middle Earth locations but also to just see everything possible. Driving on the left might be interesting though.....and I've heard it's one of the most expensive countries (though I used a converter to see what the prices are in USD with some basic stuff and it's actually cheaper than here once converted)
Matt Field At one stage we were the only country where a vehicle turning right has the right of way over a vehicle turning left. It didn't catch on so we conformed.
I vacationed there a few years ago, 10 day moter. Best time ever, beautiful cannot describe the North half of the North Island. Did not experience the city life (Auckland), the country side and the beaches! each one completely different from the next. I would like to revisit, maybe relocate there in the future.
I'm appalled at the rhetoric in these comments..talk about being ignorant, abusive & devoid of any social graces! Wherever you come from, or been to, its fairly obvious most of you haven't learnt anything from your fast travel experiences, least of all how to get on with people who don't hold the same opinion as yourself. I would advise you all stay home & grow up! I'm originally from Europe & have lived here for many years..love this place but like anywhere else you take yourself with you wherever you go...so maybe that's the problem!
Yes, and everyone is different - we had next door neighbours in Wellington, they were a couple from Switzerland. He loved NZ, it was his dream, I am sure he did skiing and snowboarding, he had been to NZ before. She hated it, she didn't have a drivers licence and the slog from the supermarket up hill to the their house I think frazzled her, she told me she desperately wanted to go back. We moved away I wonder how they resolved it... Anyway my main point is everyone is different, most "foreigners" I know think NZ is the best the people fantastic. Of course these are people who chose to move here, so that was always likely to be the case
shirley oxborough I thoroughly agree with you, I cannot believe some of the filthy rubbish these people are writing. I also notice precious few of them are able to speak or spell correctly. They sound like the inbreeds they accuse each other of being.
spikeshroom In the province Ontario beer, wine and spirts can only be sold in provincialy owned liquor or beer stores. Or in smaller communites smaller stores can be agents and are allowed to sell beer and wine. Some grocery stores are also be allowed to sell beer and wine now but not all.
In Sweden, the state has a monopoly over all alcohol so we have to go to a special alcohol shop to buy it. But it's still possible to buy it in bars or restaurants
The fact that there are people on here saying that NZ is a VERY racist country is completely understandable, yet simultaneously hypocrytical as they seem to put our country down in every way possible through horrific comments, that are seriously disgraceful. No country is bloody perfect, but we are far from terrible. Every place is beautiful in some way.
Yolza Brolza : There is no racism in NZ. You must mean Australia. I have lived in both countries before migrating to Canada. Canadians used to be like New Zealanders. Sadly, they (Canadians) have changed as life got tougher. New Zealanders are still as wonderful as they were when I first lived here in 1970. Even the young generations are still nice ppl. They are a happy lot!
Im coming over with my mum, my mum's older sister and cousin in December from the UK to see my other aunty (mum's younger sister) , and I can't wait to see your beautiful country. I think the only thing I'll struggle with are the names of the various islands :D We are going to Waiheke Island, just off Auckland...apologies in advance if I say it wrong, because I probably will say it wrong :-D
Waiheke = 'Y' (as the letter) heck 'E' (as in the letter) Y - heck - E The trick to Māori pronunciation a - say it as in 'up' e - as in bed i - as in the aussie pronunciation of 'chip' o - as in or (if you don't role your 'rrr') u - as ughhh but keep it short If you see two vowels together say as above but quickly without making them to long If you see a vowel with a macron i.e. ā then lengthen the vowel sound wh - say as a soft 'f' sound i.e. whaka is fucka ng - as in bring, finger but don't make the hard 'g' sound like some english accents do r - is tricker to explain but if you say 'udder' with a lazy 'd' sound then that's how to produce it. All sounds are always produced so don't miss out consonants in the middle like a cockney LOL There are heaps of tutorials here on youtube if you really want to learn
Thanks, this should help. I am only over for a few weeks, but I would like to go back to NZ in the future for a longer period of time. Well, I still have my aunty over there, who can teach me a thing or two about the Kiwi dialect :-)
I think of a rolled 'r' as more like american or Southland 'r in purple'. In phonetics the Māori 'r' is considered a 'flap' which is different again to the Scottish/Spanish/Italian trill. As long as she got the drift, to really understand sounds in language you need to actually listen to them, luckily youtube is full of wonderful tutorials!
+Joe N You should be able to get work relatively easily in Christchurch which is in the rebuild phase of the earthquake recovery. Can't be sure about the visa requirements though for those two professions but trades seem to be in demand at the moment.
I'm from Oz and really enjoyed the NZ people, cities, food and countryside. Next time I plan on taking the good lady with me and driving about far more. It really is a great place.
I wanna move to NZ from Canada and im so used to tipping I might just still tip. Also dont tell other Canadians but I think NZ is way more beautiful than Canada.
Nah don't tip, shit is properly priced already here bc everyone gets paid enough and it's all factored into pricing. If you tip it's gonna get very expensive for you. Tip if you want becauesomeone gave exceptional service. Starts as little as $5 :)
Ankit Auckland mate, you could give it easy to us Kiwi's, we had a huge earthquake 5 years ago, and we are still repairing everything and we are still getting after shocks
No chemtrails. I watch a guy on youtube who does a lot of hiking videos in Western NC and although the scenery is great and the guy comments on how it's fantastic to be out amongst nature, I swear, in every video the sky is criss crossed everywhere, it's such a shame.
castortroy365 I'm in southern Minnesota. Yesterday the skies were blue up until around 2 in the afternoon...then they sprayed west and completely blocked the sun out causing it to be a white sky and got very cold. It really pisses me off!
I live in central new zealand in the north island in a rural area, and we have small planes that fly over the forests to kill the possums in the woods. They leave trails too but usually it's only one trail and only ocassionally. I think there are rules about where you can and can't spray and at which times though~~~ but I'm not 100% sure~~ ^w^
❤💙💚💛💜💖❤💙💚💛💜💖 this is a very good advice for people that are visiting New Zealand I so love this thank you for sharing this I am from New Zealand also ☺
Is it just me or is the 'kiwi accent' in this video really strong? I'm a Kiwi and have been living in Oz for the past 7 years, but I never really remember many people with accents like this. I had trouble catching some of the words even.
Olivia Parkinson-Lunn More articulate?.....Hmmm might have to disagree on that, it's definitely changed in the past 30 years from what I can remember. I really notice it a lot whenever I watch NZ news, it's now become very distinct from the Australian accent plus Kiwis talk faster I would say.
Yes Kiwis do talk faster but our words are a lot stretched out then Australians they shorter their words in their accent we stretch them out in our accent which tends to make us talk faster otherwise we talk to slow
+Lssah2006 Sorry. There are many people who can't ignore the reality in NZ. If it sounds doubtful, you can visit e2nz.org. I'm not here for fight. Not trying to change anything.
+David Kwon Well, if it's on a webpage on the internet then it must be 100% accurate.......the internet is never inaccurate, right?. (By the way, that was sarcasm in case you missed it)
Amelia Kay me and the wife are visiting u guys in april. Hope u guys are being honest about having fast internet down there. Its a long way from jersey not to have a fast internet. This fn facebook has ruined my life. Cant be more than 3 hrs away from facebook. This is our worries in life in america is being able to update our facebook page. Sad really. Thats why 85% of americans are obese.
The "tipping is mandatory" is fucking ridiculous. You want food, so you pay for the food. Yeah sure, they cook it and bring it to you, but that's why the prices are also much higher than if you buy it at a grocery store. I think a tip needs to be deserved by the staff. If they treat me like a god and do everything right, I might leave a tip. But if someone comes up to me saying "You HAVE to leave a tip." I'll just haul ass and don't pay for anything.
If anyone is thanking of coming to New Zealand, come to Golden Bay in the summer, beautiful, warm, crime free, friendly, and I live here, its winter rn and im actually pretty warm during the day and I love summer, it may be small but it is beautiful at the beaches, definitely love swimming in the river at Anatori, I live in Takaka and it is small but beautiful and nearly every shop sells ice cream all year round
That was interesting. Wish we had this peptalk forty years ago. Should have added, if you have family living in NZ, take the opportunity to stay on rheir couch.
Those are great tips for someone who is completely new to the country :) I think it's great to provide so many stop bays as there are on almost every windy road. Sadly a lot of slow driving tourists do not understand that you CAN use those to pull over to let queuing people behind you pass. So spread the word! :D
You forget one tip, watch more video's of New Zealand! They give you a good idea about where to go and what to see. Like this video Magnificent New Zealand
fair enough... good advice for overseas travelers....no mention of winter driving in the south Island .......icy roads (black ice) catch a lot of drivers out from warmer countries
Hey mate awesome video. FYI abt 30 sec into the video, that map with countries driving on the other side of the road i.e. Right Hand Drive has few more countries in yellow then they should. Countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Thailand drive on the same side as NZ.
I LOL'd when I heard Cinnamon Girl (1:52) during that roundabout instruction. That song always makes me feel like I've been driving around in circles. 😂
As a New Zealander I have no idea why I am watching this

This video is mainly a beginner driving lesson lol
Most kiwis need to view this as they're absolutely shocking.
Tf do you mean "were absolutely shocking?"
lol
true, I found it quite useful haha
Man you'd be surprised by how many kiwis have died because some foreigners didn't know the road rules, stoked about the emphasis on it in this vid
I really wanna move to New Zealand. Fell in love with the country and the people. Perfect place to raise kids. Wanganui might be my favourite choice.
+Barraccuda Awesome choice! Wanganui is a great little city
You should (speaking from a NZer

this should be advertised on all incoming flights to nz
I agree. They should implement that before the Declare or Dispose video.
100% correct, may help prevent some head on accidents as well by people driving on the wrong side of the road
New Zealand is so gorgeous.
warm greetings from Indonesia.

Around 4% of people at any one time in NZ are tourists, so tourists are roughly equally likely to cause an accident.
ey, hes right
"Tipping is not mandatory and not considered rude not to tip". Wow, perfect place.

+Dennis Sphatt no you guys need to learn to fuckn drive. Mainly chinesse
+PumpkinPeel The fuckin' chinese, man!
+Sean Westbrook we do have a strong military
+PumpkinPeel my mum was driving and this Chinese guy was soo slow on the road
Is it unreasonable to ask that NZ replace all single lane bridges prior to my arrival?
+Zazzle Delacruz That is not unreasonable, we are very accommodating to visitors. How much time do we have and please specify how many lanes you prefer
+Sitting on Ceilings
I've driven in rural Alberta and BC. Never encountered any single lane bridges.
We have a lot of one way bridges, driving from the west coast to Christchurch there's about 6+
+Zazzle Delacruz yeah!! I m the Queen not you!
+TheKiwiSheila lol yeah JUST DO IT
The biggest problem with tourist and beautiful New Zealand is.( THE RENTAL CARS AGENCY )People come from another country.. off the plane to the car rentals.then they drive left.. but as soon as they pull in for petrol or any stop.when they return to drive. they forget to stick to the left.then comes the head on car cashes.. and local bitterness from pains of death.this video is great.. please teach the car rentals to accommodate you in making your point.( so proud to see you sharing this to visitors in advance.. well done people. - big love )
My wife and I just spent 2 weeks exploring New Zealand in a Camper Van and the CamperMate app was incredibly helpful!
Glad we are learning these tips before going! Well put together!
New Zealanders and Canadians - the joint top best folks on the planet!
God, I want to move to NZ so bad! As soon as I'm done with my degree I'm moving! It's an adventurer's dream come true!
That's cool, where are your from.
I'm planning to move to New Zealand
+Kayla Barakat
I'd like to live in NZ
+Left_Over_Korps i always have lived in nz
Lovely, I'd like to visit and eventually obtain NZ citizenship.
How is crime in Auckland and other major cities? are there tons of illegal immigrants? refugees and negros?
Titahbayflier ok
I came on my official trip to Wellington more than 5 years ago. This time I am coming back and will do a self driving tour of North and South Island. The info helps in a way. Thank you.
Great video! Very practical. No surprises to me as a Kiwi, except the useful app you offer.
It's called fresh food mate. You should try and get some in the US ;)
No, that's true. You can't, really, unless you buy it at a farmer's market. Even the fresh vegetables in the grocery store are better in NZ.
It's 'cause we have a shit tone of farms
Well this is by far the best video I've seen about NZ. Planning a trip for maybe next year with my mom, mainly to explore the Middle Earth locations but also to just see everything possible. Driving on the left might be interesting though.....and I've heard it's one of the most expensive countries (though I used a converter to see what the prices are in USD with some basic stuff and it's actually cheaper than here once converted)
The US has single-lane bridges as well, but they're all in very rural areas that most people won't be visiting.
Nick Turnbull WE ALSO DRIVE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD IN THE US
Hey hey you've British roads, roundabouts and same side! Fantastic and makes more sense!
I found many of the comments to be quite hilarious.
I don't condone or approve of rudeness, but I could not help but laugh.
I would love to visit NZ.
New Zealand is my favorite country!!!!!
I wish this beautiful country wasn't on the other side of the world. I live in Austria (EU) and it's 30 hours by plane :(
SilverWave Yeah it's a long flight but once you get here you'll love it!
CamperMate Does New Zealand also have so many dangerous animals (spiders, snakes, etc) like Australia?
SilverWave No, we are a very safe country and has no harmful species. We have one poisonous spider species called Katipō but seeing this is rare.
CamperMate Okay, thanks :)
It takes 2h
Appears accurate, sensible and well informed.
The country is simply beautiful! must visit!
Beer and wine in a grocery store, sweet.
+mcaddicts yep
mcaddicts Where isn't there? I'm actually curious; American stores have them too.
spikeshroom In the province Ontario beer, wine and spirts can only be sold in provincialy owned liquor or beer stores. Or in smaller communites smaller stores can be agents and are allowed to sell beer and wine. Some grocery stores are also be allowed to sell beer and wine now but not all.
mcaddicts Huh, interesting. Thanks for the info!
I think the only thing I'll struggle with are the names of the various islands :D
We are going to Waiheke Island, just off Auckland...apologies in advance if I say it wrong, because I probably will say it wrong :-D
Waiheke = 'Y' (as the letter) heck 'E' (as in the letter) Y - heck - E
The trick to Māori pronunciation
a - say it as in 'up'
e - as in bed
i - as in the aussie pronunciation of 'chip'
o - as in or (if you don't role your 'rrr')
u - as ughhh but keep it short
If you see two vowels together say as above but quickly without making them to long
If you see a vowel with a macron i.e. ā then lengthen the vowel sound
wh - say as a soft 'f' sound i.e. whaka is fucka
ng - as in bring, finger but don't make the hard 'g' sound like some english accents do
r - is tricker to explain but if you say 'udder' with a lazy 'd' sound then that's how to produce it.
All sounds are always produced so don't miss out consonants in the middle like a cockney LOL
There are heaps of tutorials here on youtube if you really want to learn
Thanks, this should help. I am only over for a few weeks, but I would like to go back to NZ in the future for a longer period of time. Well, I still have my aunty over there, who can teach me a thing or two about the Kiwi dialect :-)
+allykatblue
A- aaaaah
E-eeeeh
I- eeeeee
O- oooooooor (almost sounds the same)
U- eeeewwww (close enough)
+allykatblue
R- roll your tongue
I think of a rolled 'r' as more like american or Southland 'r in purple'. In phonetics the Māori 'r' is considered a 'flap' which is different again to the Scottish/Spanish/Italian trill. As long as she got the drift, to really understand sounds in language you need to actually listen to them, luckily youtube is full of wonderful tutorials!
Thank you for this! I am coming down in March and this was super helpful!
I wanna see new zealand so bad! Ever since i was young ive wanted to come to new zealand it looks so beautiful
Ughhhhh I wanna go so much lol.
How he says "Left" is so different from where I'm from, Kentucky, lol. It sounds like "Lift" :)
Hate that British sound accent
Whaaattt? I'm British and we don't say 'left' like that!
+ramin fakeri it's not british. it is the accent of nz
That's called an 'accent' Mr simpleton. Being from Kentucky you're probably surprised there's actually a world outside your little area.
We don't get our vowels mixed up. It's you that does that. Think about it.
How difficult would it be for an electrical engineer and an electrician to move to NZ?
+Joe N You should be able to get work relatively easily in Christchurch which is in the rebuild phase of the earthquake recovery. Can't be sure about the visa requirements though for those two professions but trades seem to be in demand at the moment.
+Joe N there is plenty of jobs for your profession
no don't come. We only want hot women.
just dont come to Australia as we have plenty of foreigners with shit os qualifications
pweter351 You just gave me plenty of reason to never visit and you confirmed the things I've heard about Australians.
Good video, thanks guys. I am doing a 1750km ride next week.... Camper Mate... Will download it, thanks.
I'm from Oz and really enjoyed the NZ people, cities, food and countryside. Next time I plan on taking the good lady with me and driving about far more. It really is a great place.
I live in Auckland in New Zealand like if u are to!!
Arrowtown queenstown
+Alex Victorine yes its great and all but Golden Bay is BEAUTIFUL in summer and is hardly cold and the beaches are AMAZING!!
I live in sunny nelson
The Mongoose Man what do you mean unlucky
Cookie Monster..How can i get cheapest from Queenstown to Mount Cook?
why the hell would they make one lane bridges
+jknochel76 some of them are really old. been there for years and years.
***** im from America the land of the spoiled lol
+jknochel76 To fuck off all the tourists that dont know what side of the road is the right side to drive on!!!
+jknochel76 Because we are poor.
+Dwayne Edwards and the same to all those kiwi's too stoned, drunk, or sleepy to even care!
I wanna move to NZ from Canada and im so used to tipping I might just still tip. Also dont tell other Canadians but I think NZ is way more beautiful than Canada.
grimr34p canada is a good country but girls there so suck im swdish
grimr34p im from canada too! im moving to nz in a couple months :)
Nah don't tip, shit is properly priced already here bc everyone gets paid enough and it's all factored into pricing. If you tip it's gonna get very expensive for you. Tip if you want becauesomeone gave exceptional service. Starts as little as $5 :)
Canada is just a frozen wasteland. (Sorry if i triggered any canadians)
I can't wait to see what New Zealand has to offer..... Hope to see it soon.
I've lived in NZ for 20yrs now and all I do is travel around the country. I love it here!
Ah damn I wanna move there...
Showeryimp317 Free tacos actually some of us dont even like twinkies, we dont have a choice of what food we get. we get it, we take it.
Ankit Auckland mate, you could give it easy to us Kiwi's, we had a huge earthquake 5 years ago, and we are still repairing everything and we are still getting after shocks
Ur white
BITCH
Ankit Auckland the only racist I see here is you
Don't know why I'm watching this as I am from New Zealand😂😂😂😂😂😂
respect the land, and the people, then you should be sweet.
Great video, thank a lot! I will share it with my clients!
As a New Zealander I found the roundabout explaination awesome.
Thats true im a kiwi!! (i come from NZ)
I'm from NZ Auckland 👍🏼
hi i am from pakistan my cell no is 03153198480
Chances are if you live in New Zealand you're from Auckland.
I noticed your skies are very blue. Do they ever spray chemtrails in New Zealand like they do here in the U.S.?
Oh my fucking god
***** Chemtrails "geo-engineering" not small planes
As a New Zealander and have been Scotland twice as my dad was from there both have similar scenery. ☺
I'm from New Zealand and I didn't know these!!!
Thanks!!!
YOU NEED TO TELL THEM NOT TO TAKE CRAPS IN OUR PARKS AND ANYWHERE IN THE OPEN GODDAMNIT
If you are meet by a hobbit do not wave, they eat people.
THEY DO NOT
RIP Japan. The tsunamis were just too much.
Recognising a lot of these places and all the memories coming back haha. My mate crashed his car here 4:53
❤💙💚💛💜💖❤💙💚💛💜💖 this is a very good advice for people that are visiting New Zealand I so love this thank you for sharing this I am from New Zealand also ☺
Is it just me or is the 'kiwi accent' in this video really strong? I'm a Kiwi and have been living in Oz for the past 7 years, but I never really remember many people with accents like this. I had trouble catching some of the words even.
Thanks for the comment, I never think of us as having accents :)
Nz accents are more.... articulate so basically closer to England so it can be pretty strong
You have just been in aussie too long maaaaate! I bet your "oz accent" is as strong as a ox..You Traitor lol
Racisim? WTF? You probably talking about Australia, New Zealand is Farrrrrr from RACISIT.
Ikr
There are no RACISIT's in NZ, I know this for a fact. What is a RACISIT? ;)
+Hand Stand But there are many people who try hard to think that way, but just can't ignore the reality in NZ. If you doubt, have a look at e2nz.org.
(By the way, that was sarcasm in case you missed it)
Anyone from nelson?
boy
me lol
Great informative video. Cheers
Really good video ! Thank you for making it.
8. NZ has the shittiest internet in the world.
Beautiful, beautiful country though :)
This is true. It was only a couple of years ago that I could watch youtube videos smoothly. lol
Shitty internet who the hell is gonna travel there then. No thanks il stay in jersey instead. At least i can update my facebook
Anthony Condegni Not anymore, we have UFB and one city here has some of the best internet in the world. Dunedin of all places though.
Nah my internet is awesome! It's really fast!
The only bad thing about New Zealand is John Key : /
Yeah, I hate him.
Molly Why do you hate PM John Key??
Danielle Gunn you mean Andrew little!
John key has left
Did you know now in New Zealand if you are 65 years old or more you can get a 50% off on all buying for free!
***** I was talking about America.
Awesome video guys 👍👍👍
If anyone is thanking of coming to New Zealand, come to Golden Bay in the summer, beautiful, warm, crime free, friendly, and I live here, its winter rn and im actually pretty warm during the day and I love summer, it may be small but it is beautiful at the beaches, definitely love swimming in the river at Anatori, I live in Takaka and it is small but beautiful and nearly every shop sells ice cream all year round
That was interesting. Wish we had this peptalk forty years ago.
Should have added, if you have family living in NZ, take the opportunity to stay on rheir couch.
Those are great tips for someone who is completely new to the country :)
I think it's great to provide so many stop bays as there are on almost every windy road. Sadly a lot of slow driving tourists do not understand that you CAN use those to pull over to let queuing people behind you pass. So spread the word! :D
Love this mostly for the easy to use Roundabout/ traffic circle directions! Americans this is true for us as well.
You forget one tip, watch more video's of New Zealand! They give you a good idea about where to go and what to see. Like this video Magnificent New Zealand
so wonderful ..
i hope someday i can go new Zealand..
I'm going to queenstown for two running the marathon coming from so.ca. USA thanks for the info
that's some useful information, thanks! going to NZ on May 3rd :D
fair enough... good advice for overseas travelers....no mention of winter driving in the south Island .......icy roads (black ice) catch a lot of drivers out from warmer countries
Going with my family this October
Hey mate awesome video. FYI abt 30 sec into the video, that map with countries driving on the other side of the road i.e. Right Hand Drive has few more countries in yellow then they should. Countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Thailand drive on the same side as NZ.
Awesome place, as an Australian the only negative I can think of is you need good luck with the weather as I did.
Beautiful country, I would so much love to see it......Maybe some day...
I LOL'd when I heard Cinnamon Girl (1:52) during that roundabout instruction. That song always makes me feel like I've been driving around in circles. 😂
Useful information.
I don't know what is more entertaining, the driving lesson or the comment section 🤣
