Excuse me - just digging out this video as we have booked the ferry over to the South Island for Christmas / New Year and we are seriously considering / most likely doing this trip.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this and all of your New Zealand videos! They helped so much when I was planning a trip there last year. I didn't even know about Doubtful Sound until your video and once I saw it, I knew I needed to go. My friend I ended up going on a different smaller boat than you guys in Doubtful Sound and it was the highlight of our RVing trip through NZ.

I made the same journey last month (January 2019) with Real Journeys during the day. I have serious sunset envy. Glad you enjoyed your mini cruise! FYI, Doubtful Sound is three times the size of Milford and Doubtful seems to be the favorite with Kiwis.

You guys definitely went on the better of the sounds, Doubtful is so much quieter and more fun to get to than Milford. We did Doubtful Sound in December 2015 and boy did it rain! Didn't stop me getting out and experiencing everything on offer though. Can't get enough NZ stuff, gotta go back soon.

So we just did island hopping in Hawaii for 3 weeks. This looks similar to the Napali Coast off of Kauai. I heard you mentioned this was like Hawaii meets the Alps. After seeing Hawaii, is this cruise worth it? We have been underwhelmed with the pictures and videos thus far.

You two need to do a short class in "How To Make An Online Video". In every shot, you're DOING something. Short takes. Really moves things along.

Writing "short" is much harder than writing "long". You'd do the world a great service if you could convince young video noobs of that.

if you cant find wild penguins, there is a rescue group in the international Antarctic centre of penguins that aren't able to survive in the wild in Christchurch, it not a bad place to check out as well.
Did anyone occupy the other two beds in your room, or was it just the two of you? Also, surprised Heath wasn't refused entry to NZ for never having seen the LOTR movies; ... thought that was a requirement to get a visa.

Since living in this smaller RV, are you thinking of downsizing when you get home? Or are you missing your spacier Winnebago?
I REALLY wanted to downsize. We listed our Winnebago for sale and everything. But then Heath eventually won out and we decided to keep the Winnebago for a while longer, so it's back to a big roomy RV!
