Thanks for sharing this, can't wait to run this locally. For indy devs, I think being able to generate environment assets quickly like this will be awsome, they can be so time consuming. I think this is just a tool though, making sure all styles work together along with the mesh cleanup will still require quite a bit of skill.
For sure! It’s a quick and dirty tool that’s great for getting you to a testing phase quickly. But as you mentioned, you’ll definitely need to rebuild everything from scratch!
It's very interesting to see what's possible... For me, as someone who is not really a trained 2d or sculptor... But rather, someone who doesn't mind creating 3d geometry and modelling...(I disagree that it's tedious-- I think that was a bit of a broad statement).. .. My instinctive reaction is to see that resulting model, and immediately sat to work smoothing it and nip & tuck it's errors, using Samsung accessible like the apple pencil.. So by the way, on that note. You did a great video last year (I think) on the status quo of 3d modelling on the iPad, with the general conclusion being that there's no real workflow between apps at that time... Nomad, Shapr3D, PC. What's your feeling these days?
Yeah the models definitely need a lot of cleanup and overall fixing, so if you like doing this type of work you’ll have a blast. Unfortunately the tools to do that with a tablet are not there yet. Or to be more precise they are not to my liking. Forger for example has plenty of polygonal modeling tools but modeling there just takes forever. As for sculpting tools, Zbrush for the iPad is perfect but of course it needs some getting used to and not everything needs sculpting. There’s a couple more polygonal modelers on the iPad but currently I’m at a point where I’ll just wait for a cinema 4d version for the iPad and call it done!
you might be able to delete comments calling you out, but you cant hide from the fact that what you are doing is shameful and is not only harmful to the creative community you *purport* to be a part of, but is the antithesis of creativity itself. i bet $20 you'll delete this too.
The entirety of your comment was one word. Bootlicker. Calling someone a "bootlicker" got your comment deleted. I wonder why... If watching a video about technology gets you this triggered, you might want to seek some help.
Nice, yeeeh it can help as a template or far from camera objects. Thanks for your time exploring this tool 😊
I can see the huge benefit of having a rough 3D outline of the shapes to work on top of.
Many Thanks from Istanbul !
You are welcome!

manage to run it locally on windows using pinokio
Nice! How fast is it? I guess it depends on the setup but if it doesn't require a ridiculous amount of resources I might give it a try!

Wait, why are you on the internet? Go write to him on your papyrus and quill. Using technology is bootlicking behavior.
Nothing creative about modelling a a 1 to 1 3D model from an image. I’m glad tools like this exist.
