Good point! As far as the Substance Viewer app goes, It's not clear yet. For now, because the software is still in beta it's free to use. My guess is that because it's a "viewer" it will come for free as well. But that's just me guessing. We'll have to wait and see how that goes. All the other 3d apps in Creative cloud require a separate subscription. If I remember correctly there are two options there. One where you get Substance Designer, Painter and Sampler and a more expensive one where you get the modeller on top of the rest.
Yeah unfortunately this still needs to come back but now that the main big thing is done, I'm hoping we'll see normal maps too! Keeping my fingers crossed! 🤞
Lovely demo and great review. Your feedback is spot on! Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can you create models for a 3d printer this way?
No, you would have to use a different piece of software for that. A program like Cinema 4D, Blender, or a CAD software like Shapr3D, Fusion 360 etc.
Thank you for the video. The materials inside C4D were Standard Legacy C4D materials or Redshift materials?
Yeah Redshift materials work fine. Basically the FBX export will take care of things when it comes to material compatibility.
is 3d tools ( Substance ) a separate subscription still in addition to creative cloud?

@@marvelousdecay This whole approach really keeps me in the cinema 4D and Shapr3D camp.
Still no Normal map creator in Photoshop :(

True. Bump map was also useful but they abandoned it
