I am a retired police officer from Berlin-Germany. This is one of those moments when you realize what you're made of. From zero to one hundred within a second. The normal person turns around and runs as fast as he can. This is pure danger to life and completely understandable. But this is not the job of a police officer. You are there to assess the level of danger and combat it immediately. That's why you became a police officer and that's what you get paid for. This is exactly the attitude that most of the police in Germany have and this is exactly how this colleague acted. Immediately switched from a nice conversation to the action. He was alone, and few can appreciate how dangerous the mission was. How many perpetrators, what weapon, what or who is the target, where or where the perpetrator or perpetrators are moving. Eh, shots could have been fired from outside the building from an inside shop, etc. a Excellent work by the colleague. What hurts most is the victims and, above all, their number. This colleague faces sleepless weeks and self-recriminations. He could have intervened a little quicker himself. In my opinion no. From my own experience I can only say that this will be a bad time. The brain goes its own way.

It's the sensible action to take and it's the same thing applicable to a lot of things. Do you relieve the symptoms or do you cure the infection? The officers can help administer first aid, but that's just a case of alleviating symptoms. The source of the infection would be the active shooter. Eliminate them and then you can treat the symptoms. There's little to no point in slapping a band-aid on a dismembered limb if the blender is still dragging you in and it's the same case here. If anything at all, this officer is probably torn about how his "sub-optimal" positioning and timing led to so many victims. However that's far beyond his control and demanding he be closer to the action next time is asinine, insensitive (as you are basically hoping he'll be a part of another active shooter incident,) and shallow-minded. If he was closer to the initial shooting, guess who the shooter would have hit first? That'd be the officer. Then who would have responded? The second officer that showed up. But how long did it take him to show up with eyes on the suspect and in an effective engagement range? There would have been more victims if the officer was further or closer, and it's really difficult to say where the "optimal" placement he could have been in would have been. Either way, he did his job, critiques can go stop an active mass shooter themselves before they judge him, and condolences and sincere empathy to the victims and their families. Lastly, take note all of those extremist who think defunding the police will solve some sort of social issue. Uniformed law enforcement should have a career long fitness requirement, like the military. Gotta be about to run a mile in full kit without getting winded. I see cops and ABC agents at The Tactical Games. Those MFs usually are in Elite or Tactical Division, kicking ass.
Yea, I’m American, and we don’t hear about mass shooters anymore either. Unless they’re school shooters, but the bodies have to be high to hear about it. Our country is talking about more important things, like which bathroom i should go into and figuring out our pronouns. 🤦♂️
Yeah. I'm getting into it with some hats that look like arses on his channel. I admit. When I type my opinion, I don't back down. I have nothing to lose and less to gain. But I also have respect for cops who are just doing their jobs. I've got out of alot of situations where I should have been in jail. But, I didn't argue with the cop. I respected them and admitted that I was in the wrong. Believe it or don't. Alot of times in non felony situations. Being honest and respectful is like a get out of jail free card.
Sorry fella's can't watch it, this just happened in May down at the Allen Outlet Mall in Allen Texas. Passed by there the following Monday coming back from the Dallas V.A., there was caution taped over several buildings. God bless, but I'll catch you on the flip side.

I can't understand why anyone would watch that sht.. it's not morbid curiosity when it's children dying.. if it's not your job or happenstance I don't think it should be on the internet infecting people's brains with desensitization. Just my opinion.
@@clipsedrag13 On the contrary, people are so desensitized to gun violence in this country because they don't SEE the effects of it. Make them all view the aftermath of a mass shooting and they might change their tune. Make it real for them.
@@xviper2k I see what you are saying but it doesn't hold up logically, most of us are already aware of the violence, seeing it up close will not change anything for the better it will only make us more desensitized to violence. You seem to just be anti-gun and want people to change their stance out of pure emotion by forcing them to see it. Logically, guns have always been around and yes machine guns are more regulated today than back in the 40's era with the Tommy gun and there was no such thing as random, motiveless violence. Obviously there is something else going on and it is no secret that we have a mental health problem here that isn't taken seriously.
even when cops are nervous kind they'll freeze up and get scared and are just not cut out for the job and sadly don't realize until that when it counts and then you got the bad ones but those are usually very very rare depending on your degree of what kind of bad cops cuz there's all kinds but there's not a lot of them do actually go kill someone on purpose just a evil few most cops are usually retired or in the reserve military

Just a question, not a criticism. Was it a decision based on policy, tactics or just a spur of the moment decision made under stress?
He didn't know where the shots were coming from because of the echo. You can see his first path he took he made adjustments sharply to the right after first running to the left
To add on to what the other reply said. He didn't know where they were, and if he was in his patrol car when he ran across the shooter, there is a very real possibility he can't react in time to stop, get out, and engage before the shooter swings around and unloads on the officer.
why do you need this guys breakdown? "so he heard the shots and went to his car to get his rifle" yes we saw that in the video..... the raw footage shows it all.

Without getting political, because I'm not an NRA fan, this situation shows why you should educate yourself and carry here in the States. Even with a cop on scene immediately that was still quite a few minutes before armed operators engaged the gunman. Also, the gunman had no criminal history, so no law would've prevented him from obtaining that firearm. Heartbreaking for the victims and first responders, and I am glad the damage was minimized quickly.
A perfect example is a little ways back when a lady concealed carrying shot a guy who was shooting into a crowd with an ar15. I think it was in Charleston, wv.

Simple, eliminate the threat or be a victim! This officer did the right thing! A HERO runs towards gunfire
I saw this video without this Donut guy and honestly I could do without him.
Reading the comments about that Asian guy is truly heartbreaking.
So, no one talking about how they used a thumbnail of a psychotic rage cop attacking a fellow officer for stopping them from assaulting a handcuffed suspect in a vehicle?
I like this channel, but yeah that's 100% clickbait
“Hispanic whitе suprеmacist” lmao
Thats the media for ya. Never let a crisis go to waste
They sure did white wash his imagine like they have done many other times in the last 3 months to darker color people to fit their naitive.
I had seen some uncensored footage of the scene while it was going on and the Asian man died laying over his family temrying to protect them it was so sad. I wish I hadn't seen it
I’m in the same boat. Saw them whilst scrolling on Reddit. He died trying to protect his children. One of the worst images I’ve ever seen in my life, and i really wish i hadn’t.
Donut Operator is the BEST!
That's your fuckin job.

The supreme court ruled that the police have no duty to protect. So...
Uniformed law enforcement should have a career long fitness requirement, like the military.
Gotta be about to run a mile in full kit without getting winded.
I see cops and ABC agents at The Tactical Games. Those MFs usually are in Elite or Tactical Division, kicking ass.
This is why I carry all the time. Because you never know when you maybe your only hope of surviving this kind of situation.
Yeah I’m Texas they call this a Saturday.
Chicago you mean
If you Donut I can most likely respect you sight unseen. But your comments helped me understand you much more. Cheers.
Plus EMTs arent going to help any victims until the area is secure of the threat.
This breaks my heart. One Man. Just one man.
No Dave, no one is giving "stick" to the officer for stepping over the bodies smdh.
Need more donut on this Chanel
He'll yes! Please watch more Donut Operator
Fantastic country
LOVE Donut O!!!!
so glad this isnt a patreon exclusive
Awesome video. Donut and the AKguy should fly you out to Texas to shoot some guns.
I think that this happen last Christmas in Texas!
No this was May 6th, 2023 in Allen, Texas
Tha@@Landyn___ Thank you for telling me!
The slowmo reminds me of call of duty at somes times in game
Texas governor admonished the victims for not bringing their guns with them when they went shopping.
People need to stop voting for these slime balls
I wish they had. He would've been properly peppered long before he murdered and wounded all those innocent people.
Unbelievable pos, that guy
Post the full quote.
They released it to UA-cam not patreon LOL
Sometimes they put it on Patreon first. This could have been a Patreon video.
@@kimson305 This was a patreon video, because they had the patreon only intro and outtro so
The British cops that killed Marshall and Million are terrible people.
Cop did good and you could notice he was kind of in shock at the end of seeing all those bodies. I saw the one where that transgender shooter shot up that primary school and seeing the bodies of little kids is filling me with rage
I can't understand why anyone would watch that sht.. it's not morbid curiosity when it's children dying.. if it's not your job or happenstance I don't think it should be on the internet infecting people's brains with desensitization. Just my opinion.
@clipsedrag13 Ehh, we need some strong souls to not be inundated pansies who would freeze like a deer in the headlights in the face of violence.
Obviously there is something else going on and it is no secret that we have a mental health problem here that isn't taken seriously.
insane video to watch, the thumbnail should be changed though, I see smiles when this is a dark subject
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo blokes!!!
mass shootings have increased due to their showcases on tv sadly
Also due to the fact that many of them are hoaxes or caused by the CIA in the first place
That was in my community unfortunately 😢
In California the cop would be arrested and prosecuted.
California
has been known to blame the victim.
Nobody gave the cop shit for walking past bodies. Where do you get your info from Dave.
He said probably in an attempt to reason why the guy hasn't had his name released.
@@WaitWhoWhat no.
Happened in my neck of the woods Texas and it of course happened in a gun free zone.
even when cops are nervous kind they'll freeze up and get scared and are just not cut out for the job and sadly don't realize until that when it counts and then you got the bad ones but those are usually very very rare depending on your degree of what kind of bad cops cuz there's all kinds but there's not a lot of them do actually go kill someone on purpose just a evil few most cops are usually retired or in the reserve military
Why is the thumbnail a pic of the cop arrested for choking out his fellow female officer?
Why did he walk? He was standing at his vehicle. He could have hopped in his patrol car and closed the gap much quicker
Police don't get paid enough.
I can't watch Donuts videos because they seriously destroy my soul
My girlfriend watches him just because he’s sexy.
That's why he takes so many random breaks. It breaks him too.
react to Jack Wilson stopping the church shooter.
Only in America! But hey they can own a gun, well worth the risk.
If they were carrying, he wouldn't have been able to shoot 15 people
why did they have to slow mo/ muffle his shots . all the other shots were super dark and created a horrific visualization . but to sensor the heroic , life saving shots seems really stupid .
It sucks that people laugh about this type of stuff when Americans have to walk around in fear not knowing if someone is going to just start shooting its crazy how nothing changed since columbine ,sandy hook ,Virginia tech , route 91 harvest festival ,pulse the list can go on :/
We don't walk around in fear lol this barely happens, it happens almost the same amount in every major country it's just not covered by ur guys news stations cause ur countries like to pretend the are better than they actually are , and if u look at the developing world ( which is most countries) this happens daily along with alot worse shit like slavery and cannibalism, so yea get off ur high horse stop watching propaganda and chill out kid .
funny people think this kind of stuff doesn't happen in other countries, did you know most countries do not report crime stats unless someone is convicted of the crime. You still risk getting shot in most other countries out there along with being stabbed or blownup.
If you are living 'in fear', you are the problem - and can offer no solution.
So he did his job?
Real fun and entertaining, glad you got your laughs!!!..... Pricks
You guys need to fix your thumbnail. The cop in the thumbnail is a scumbag that lost control and choked his own coworker and was fired. The thumbnail shows that scene. Has nothing to do with the video.
I keep a rifle in my back seat. I'm going home to my family
It's not going to do you any good if you are in the mall.
@@msdarby515 youre right thats why I carry daily as well.
@@msdarby515true. Which is why i never understood the concept of a “truck gun”. You fight with what you have on you. VERY small chance you are going to be near your car when something pops off. Gotta stay strapped
This ain't gonna stop. I am pro gun and pro carry, but live in NY. Despite the Supreme Court ruling, our Governor still does not give us citizens the right to carry under under their ruling. If our governments prohibit us people that want to follow the law be able to protect ourselves, then they should set up Active Shooter First Response Teams. Train and let well vetted citizens be allowed to carry rifles in their cars and sidearms on them concealed on a volunteer basis.
My only question is: Why didn’t he drive closer before going on foot?
He would have gotten there faster, been less exhausted and given a more noticeable police presence with the squad car there.
He didn't know where they were, and if he was in his patrol car when he ran across the shooter, there is a very real possibility he can't react in time to stop, get out, and engage before the shooter swings around and unloads on the officer.
where is the video that goes with the thumbnail?
why do you need this guys breakdown? "so he heard the shots and went to his car to get his rifle" yes we saw that in the video..... the raw footage shows it all.
You must be new to the Internet.
How come the thumbnail is of a totally different cop who assaulted another cop because she tried to stop him from committing crime?
Donut's video "suspect MAG DUMPED after murdering New Mexico officer" is a good one but idk if it is too brutal/graphic for the channel
Donut Operator makes high quality videos but my god does he pad his videos with so much nonsense just to take up time.
Ask press office for video under freedom of info. act - get video - add some annoying comment every few seconds... that is pure profit oriented youtuber stuff and not content oriented
@@lowruna right, I think I could tolerate these types of videos more if it didn't unnecessarily cut to his face every 10 seconds
He said up front that if you don't like his commentary the raw video footage is on his 'raw' channel linked below. You had options!
He's got a whole channel dedicated to showing you what you apparently want to see, without him talking.
You can't be bothered to watch that channel, and are targeting him specifically, because you have nothing meaningful to contribute to this conversation (or society as a whole, most likely).
Listening to y’all’s drill and rap music changed my mind about y’all’s culture so much when i dove into it I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT YALL LOOKING AT OURS AND HOW FUCKED IT MUST LOOK
Abolish guns completely. Look at Australia.
A perfect example is a little ways back when a lady concealed carrying shot a guy who was shooting into a crowd with an ar15. I think it was in Charleston, wv.
@@gnbl5006 So what? LMAO Do you live in America? In most places in the world that have abolished guns they still have murder just with knives, bats, axes, etc.
@@gnbl5006 lol, first of all its pointless to look at what another country did and expect it to work in another. Second, a 10 year study determined that the gun ban in Australia had little to no effect on firearm homicides. There was already a trend of declining firearm homicides beforehand.
@@gnbl5006dude australia doesnt even allow fruits into their country. Also guns can be illegally bought you know? In most of europe we dont have guns for citizens but crime and gunviolence still exists. Maybe start with taking mental health serious. Plenty of people who have guns dont decide on shooting up a place. The mayority of them actually or there wouldnt be anything left.
Y’all didn’t hear about it? I didn’t hear about it either… Ohhh it wasn’t a white shooter that’s why… There’s your answer.
Initially, gentlemen, I am more than a bit 'disconcerted' about the blase' attitude our host has about the 8 dead... Seconds after the video host mentions the '8 dead' he's smiling....and I wonder the immunity towards death in this country...
I mean he himself was a police officer and served in the US Navy that probably makes more or less sensitive to death
@@ad1k594 Still incredibly tacky to present video of an actual mass shooting (which happened mere months ago!) with his own inappropriate commentary.
