Thanks for reminding me of who and what I am. Back to basics. Getting out and ruck.
I like the tactics videos Especially the use of beer cans.
Great to see the Coors Light Infantry brigade out on exercise again! Cheers Randall!
They are no match for my Natural Ice Merc unit 🍻🍻
Good morning GP.
To continue with my previous post. Yes we had a Ranger file but we also had a squad and a platoon file. The squad file had a greater distance between troops but another difference was the point man or scout as we called them was farther out ahead of the squad file and the next man was called the slack man. The squad leader or team would control the distance with the command take up the slack. This helped to prevent the effect of mowing down the file because if the terrain was open there was a greater distance between the point man and the slack man to allow a greater reaction time. Now beer can tactics this formation. Keep up the outstanding classes. All the way!
Any time I hear BOC's contribution to the Heavy Metal movie I have to give a thumbs up.
In training reacting to contact, I've seen dudes dive and crawl through cactus so many times🤣
Wait why? Is it to just get cover? I have no military experience sorry if it’s a stupid question.
@speartongamer6080 what's stupid is not asking questions at all. And yes, if you take contact via indirect fire, the first thing you do is drop to the floor to avoid the blast. It's also sometimes a wise move if you take direct fire from an un known location so you can figure out a maneuver plan before running straight into the enemy. Sometimes, dudes land in cactus when they drop to the floor without thinking. Prone reduces your signature and makes you harder to hit and, in some cases, impossible to hit.
@@teampyle9835 lol ok thanks man. Can’t imagine hitting cactus like that.
So take training seriously, but also maybe watch out for cactus. 🤣
Yes, more tactics… Thanks Randall
More tactic, SOP’s, TTP’s and Maneuvers. Also, real life situations of what teams did right and what teams did wrong to help with thinking through these issues
Operations in dense jungle, mainly upon narrow trails forcing patrol in file due to terrain was common in Vietnam. We expected ambush at all times. Moving out into open fields, or locations to disperse positions created a whole different set of rules. As you said, there are so many variables to access.
On a side note, I like the fact that you have PBR as the good guys. Has been my beer of choice since I was first in country in 1969.🍻 55 years later, I still drink it today.😏
LOL the beer cans are great. but now i wanna send you some Gi-joes
Thanks. Educational and real world useful. More, please.
On point!! Good stuff as always bro
You must be reading our emails..... lol Thanks
Good shit. Love the cans I remember in 2000 training for pat sight deployment we would go over shit in the barracks with a patriot launcher toy set from the px.
Honestly the biggest challenge with learning this stuff is exactly what you said - 1000 different ways to do everything. Especially when on youtube you hear a million different tactics and strategies for 1000s of scenarios. How do you get everyone on your team on the same page? How do you even write your SOPs, or even decide what should be SOP and what shouldn’t? I feel like if i was in the shit with some strong leadership showing me the ropes i’d get it like that but for now, we only got our basic fundamental team tactics.
This is awesome! I like to hear other perspectives
Love this series!
You need more space. Pogs can't fallow along bc they don't know what it's supposed to look like lol
I can barely keep up with all the excellent content you put out.
Hell yes, more BDWBC!
I was deer hunting near Big Bear and scrambled down slope and had to cross a huge patch of Manzanita bushes. Nightmare! Thank you for simple explanation for an everyday guy.
I'd like to see link-up, and screening patrols.
If the teamleader went down, we didn't have to figure out who should step up, every man knew the order of rank before we went out, down to the last man, this was standard doctrine in the Danish army.. I thought that was NATO standard, but maybe not..

If im in a group with any kind of numbers and we get pop shots from what seems like one guy, i think my own skeptical nature would lead me to assume that I'm being drawn into an ambush
Penny for everyones' thoughts.
12:34
Aha.
Typically, yes. A lone guy taking potshots is a huge red flag, especially when he quite visibly escapes over a ridge, or runs into a village.
Doing this live fire all week
Good class bring more!
Good stuff amigo!
Love these can tactic discussions. Priceless for us civvy’s. Getting out next weekend and training. Hoorah! 💪🏼
Can I absolutely appreciate your content in the amount of effort you put into it, hell yeah we'd like some more
Dude, you lose 5 man points for not having army men to use
But you gain 10 points for using beer cans.
Net gain of 5 points.
Love these videos. I’m currently putting a class together for defensive tactics. I would love to see a video on that some time!
FM 3-21.8, the old FM7-8 Infantry Rifle Platoon and Squad. It will answer your questions. And the good ol Ranger Handbook.
Thanks Sarge
😇🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Do this with GI Joes lol
Looking to organize. I am capable and fit 💪 yreka ca. I'm getting so tired of unmotivated non compis boring people. Need buddies, and I need shit to do. I run a business and have 10 years of experience as an electrician. (Should tell you a little about what i am like) I want a group of dudes so we can all train together and make a unit. I know the rest of you dudes want the same. So lets go!
Hey Grunt Proof,
Great discussion and I love you videos. I asked the question about a file and squad online and I appreciate your response but that's not exactly what I meant. First I'm an old, old, retired fuck from the Vietnam Era so I'm going explain in a little more detail which you may find interesting. Unfortunately I'm little to busy today to give the detail it deserves but I will explain tomorrow.
Could you do a video on how to take care of the ECWCS parka? Keep up the great content. I find it helpful.
The goretex jacket? Just wash it and throw it in the dryer
I meant over time to prevent damage such as delamination when the layers separate. I had that happen on one.
Ok then throw it away and buy another one for $40 in late spring
Already did thanks.
What is So? P.
Standard Operating Procedure.
You could always buy some plastic green army men.
Watching this makes me want to drink beers.
Came here to post this. I was like "Great, now I'm thirsty."
Does anybody understand a word he says? I mean, once the beers are on the table I'm like locked in on the cans like watchin'a 3 card Monte trickster back on liberty.. I'd it just me? Clear the objective? He'll yeah! Pop the top and clear it!
Randall, I thought I saw you in a movie last night. It was the Bricklayer. Check it out.
Hey have you ever played BattleTech? I know it probably carries a tabletop gaming geek stigma, but yo... seems pretty analogous.
I would rather see PBR adds instead of original COORS on your channel! I know you dont control that but maybe the YOU tube Commies read my comments....
I stopped listening when Grunt talks about teams. There are no teams near me. Nobody gives a flying fuck about making a minute man team in my area. Everybody is all just like "deeerrrrrpppppp"
I'd move
@@GruntProof Been thinking a lot about it lately. Eastern Pennsylvania
That's not the way to do that. The formation is flawed
Get a life
Man, Grunt Proof is living life to the fullest.
You just gotta keep on livin' man, L-I-V-I-N
Yea Buddy… Beer can battle drills with Randall
Good times…
I would use Sierra Nevada bottles because you’re suppose to train how you fight.
It's a australian peel.i cant call it a ranger peel being an australian.
I love "tactics with beer cans!" Please continue these fireteam drill examples. Maybe verbally touch upon how the fireteam moves and reacts with other teams in a squad/section sized unit made up of 2 or 3 fireteams in the future? Much appreciated.
I love these battle drills. More more.
Thank you

All patriots need to hook up with each other and plan.
Can you provide that medium?
