Thanks Doug, I appreciate that!...and yea, I have a feeling there will be a few updates in the near future to work out all the bugs...in most cases with brand new technology like this there’s always minor issues unfortunately...can’t wait for spring!...haha
I understand that having the transducer ON while not in the water puts more unneccesary wear and tear on the transducer , which is why they use the SD card method so you can do the transfer " on the water". Just saw a note this morning of someone e who pulled his AT transducer out of the water to travel, and left the AT on. Not a good thing? Thank you for sharing this AT upgrade item...never knew until now. Much appreciated.
No prob, thanks for watching Larry!… yeah there’s so much debate about whether or not leaving the transducer on out of water will harm it… I’m honestly not sure what the correct answer is, you hear so much back-and-forth on the topic… I turn mine off just to be safe!

You mentioned Live Scanner in your installation video, is this something Lowrance is coming out with?
It’s actually not from Lowrance, it’s from an independent company...it’s the best transducer pole out there for a few reasons, stay tuned...I’m hoping to have it within the next week or so and I’ll have the initial install/review up on the channel!... thanks for watching!
So I had to install a kill switch on my active target module because even after the update to fix it staying on after the graph was turned it would stay on. Do I need to have the module on in order to do the latest update or just the graph? (In the video you mentioned seeing the module lights blinking so I'd assume it needs to be on)

This is very helpful but I have a question…can you put both of these software updates (the graphs update and the active target) on the same sd card? Or do you need two difference cards?
They say they like the graph update on its own card because they’re updated automatically when you turn them on… I’ve never tried putting anything else on the card when I do my graphs for that reason, so I usually do all of my graphs and then delete that file off the card to use it for active target…hope that helps!
AWSOME VIDEO Captn!! I`ve just recently installed my Active Target on my boat and noticed that I have two indicator lights that blink,the Power indicator blinks green to orange & the Ethernet indicator blinks green . Is this normal operation for the AT box?

Yes sir, I always do…mines always plugged into box whatever I’m doing…hope that helps!

Thanks John, I appreciate it!!...if you sign up for their emails right on their site sometimes they’ll announce it that way, but honestly I usually find out through forums as well...I do check their site from time to time, but as far as I know there’s no email list dedicated for updates (wish there was)...thanks for watching!

On my unit the fish and the jig show up very well but the trees are very light, almost non existent. Any suggestions?
Hmm, that’s interesting...if the fish and lures are showing up well I honestly have no idea why the trees wouldn’t...that’s one I haven’t seen yet, if I can find out anything for ya I’ll definitely let you know!
Hey I just bought a Active Target and I’ve been trying to update the latest update version numerous times and I’m unable to complete the latest software. The problem is,
When I insert my SD card into my HDS7 Live, under storage, it’s not popping up either on top slot or bottom slot. Basically it’s not showing up for me to start the update under storage. Any suggestions?
Hey!…my first question would be, what size is the SD card?….and have ya tried a different card just to see what would happen?…sounds like something may be wrong on the card end of things…let me know and I’ll see if I can help further!
Should you have the ActiveTarget traducer-Blackbox-ElitFS connected when doing upgrade,
can it be done while you are on land and not in the lake ?
Hey Morgan!...yepper, they should all be connected and you can definitely do it at home...I do all my updates in the garage before heading to lake...hope that helps!

Hey Josh!… I’m sorry I’m just seeing this, after I made this video Lowrance actually moved the active target selection… I guess so many people were complaining they realized they had to make it easier to find so it’s no longer in the location I show in this video…I apologize!
Did you end up finding it?
My Active Target indicator that shows on my HDS LIVE graph (which is supposed to indicate which direction the cone is pointing) is out of sync with the actual transducer direction. I had the transducer pointing straight ahead in Forward mode, but the indicator showed it pointing left or right. Any suggestions?
Hmm, that’s strange...I would try doing a soft reset before anything, I know that seems to be solving some other minor issues I’ve seen...if that doesn’t work let me know and I’ll see what else I can find out for ya!
Grab the annex to the HDS Live manual that addresses Active Target. It explains how to adjust offset if required. Q&A also addresses on Lowrance’s website.
DBigs70 is correct, I found out that you have to adjust the offset when this happens...I've seen it a few times now in the forums
Hi when I go into storage I see the file but when I click it another pop up screen shows but the file name doesn’t show, so I cannot click the file and press upgrade

Hey Jim!… Procedure is the same exact process, but they did move the active target selection after so many people were complaining that they couldn’t find it… Instead of under transducers, it’s now listed under active target, hope that helps!
can you update it through wifi like the unit updates?
Unfortunately no, it states right on Lowrance website that the AT must be updated with micro SD card...hope that helps!
Hi updated the FS 9 unit to version 20.1 64.2.62 and the AT 64.2.66 are these not compatible, When configure AT is say it´s found and then after a few second switch over to fail Please make sure active target is connected ?
Hey Morgan!...they’re definitely compatible, but I’ve seen other people have this exact issue in the past as well...I’m yet to see what actually causes it, but sometimes a reset will fix the issue...I would start with a soft reset, if that doesn’t work try backing up your info and doing a hard reset...let me know if either of those things work for ya!

Ahh I got it not how to do the reset of the FS device, there is no way to reset the Active Target or maybe not needed ?

Hey Morgan!..,sorry, I’m just seeing your responses...glad you got it working, but sorry to hear about the image quality...it’s tough to tell without seeing it myself but I would just play with the settings some (contrast, range, etc)...I can pick up my lure 60-70’ out, and the clarity is excellent...takes some getting used to but once ya get comfortable with it it’s insane!
