Good information and advice! I spent years riding in SoCal and was always respectful of Club members, so I had no problems. Once at a MC show, a member, while part of a large group, accidentally bumped into my Wife and was so apologetic, it actually shocked her. Know the rules of respect and stay in your own lane. Sorry I missed "Smokeout", though I live 30 minutes away, but The Big Dog is down and I was out of town.
On two wheels, three wheels, four wheels, or more, or none there is no place for criminals in this country. As a rider with over 50 years I got along with law abiding citizens who also rode, no tolerance for A Holes. The poster of this video does exactly what he claims will get others beat up in his video. He also clearly advocates violence against youtube rules. As a civilian you have the right to self defense, and don't have to take scat from anyone, at the very least report to LE, and press charges if harassed for any reason.
I was talking to a co-worker, who is a member of a club, and he explained that the rank and file of the clubs here in Washington will refer all questions to an officer of their chapter. And have nothing to say about club business.
Thank you for this information. There are way too many people out there that have no idea. They try to make something out of nothing to look good in said clubs eyes. Good way to handle this whole situation.
It’s amazing to me that this stuff even needs to be discussed. I guess someone might find it just interesting as a topic, I do. But I mean that for there to be people who would be ignorant enough to do any of the things that would get them in trouble with a club and they actually need an instructional video explaining how not to get beat up by a motorcycle club is amazing. I imagine that’s not the only social situation they routinely mess up. Must not understand the concept of respect or courtesy just generally, let alone when having an interaction with a group who places a high value on it.
THANK YOU for this! Just a few weeks ago I had some guy try to speak for me, put words in my mouth, without any communication with me. Yeah, he rides a bike, but he is not part of us, and had zero business piping up on my behalf, or standing in unwelcomed for any of the others. He got shut down pretty quick. I actually had to diffuse the situation, because there were a lot of people really choked at him. Rookie mistake I guess, maybe just something people don't think about too much until they flubb up?
Agree 💯% I've caught Dimond holders in my videos and either switch the view or stop recording, but I've never had them have an issue. Some are subscribers and haven't had any comments. Just be respectful.
It amazes me that so many people think this is acceptable. People who think it's OK to beat someone up over a video, or use intimidation to force someone to delete things off their phones are not people to be admired, they are criminals. Stop pandering to criminals. Just because you ride a bike doesn't mean you should be looking up to these people.
Very well explained. As the SAA of a 3 pc MC I thank you for educating the wannabes out there. I worked damn hard for my patch, and nobody is going to speak for me or my brothers. It's all about respect!!!
I completely agree,I don't know if I'd call it "Snitching",I veiw it more as "conscientious objection" if I'm letting a club member I know for example "Hey that guy over there is filming you, should a member go have a "chat" with him?"

A buddy recently went to a statewide "All Clubs" event as a representative of a Christian bikers club. NO PHONES was rule #1 and everybody but one moron obeyed. And sure as hell, his phone rang in the middle of proceedings.
Supporters have rules too in some cases ..... I bought a storage unit once and there was a support 81 tshirt I didn't know what to do with it so I asked a guy I knew was a member he said burn it and then told me a story of how he gave his GF a shirt and when they broke up he said I need that back she hem hawed and then her new BF was caught wearing said shirt and the outcome was not ideal ...I never lit something on fire that fast in my life
I ride in Southern California daily. I frequently see large groups of Monguls coming up behind me when I’m splitting lanes (usually on the 210 fwy in the inland empire). They always want to go faster than I do while splitting. I always move left and allow them to go by. They have ALWAYS been polite. The lead rider usually waves and nods his head, I assume saying thanks for moving over. After they pass by, I never attempt to follow behind them. I allow them their space. I’ve never had a problem on the road with club riders.
Absolutely 💯 .. the letter R in MLLH&R is last because its the most important. Respect is earned not given and it is everything in the Biker / 1% world, or any other world for that matter. Whether its just guys like us Monk or full patch 1%ers and just because buddy knows someone who knows someone doesnt give him / her or anyone else the right to speak on there behalf. As always Monk solid advice and words of wisdom. Look forward to the next one. Cheers from the Great White North 🇨🇦
I bought a t shirt supporting a group years ago! Was told I shouldn't wear it by a "nobody", but I heeded his advice and the shirt is a wall hanger. Maybe he knew something I didn't, maybe not but no need to take a chance
Thank you for the advice, certainly appreciated. Respect is the word for life. Give it and you will receive it. There are a lot of good organizations out there.
I have a couple friends in a major club. I won't mention which one, but just because I'm friends with them doesn't mean I have support stickers on my bike, don't wear their shirts... That's their thing an their business. Some people have watched way way too much television..
100 percent right! I've been in and around MC's for years. My rule personally is to just leave the phone in my pocket. Also, where can I get that hat?!?!?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on the Biker " club" thing. I have always wondered if it's a bad idea to have a HOG patch, with an upper, rockerish patch that reads HARLEY DAVIDSON, and a lower one that reads MOTORCYCLES ?
Regular members should refer all questions to the club's designated spokesperson or leadership. Same way the military doesn't let regular members speak on the service's behalf. As a veteran group member I'm sure you've heard the stories about Private Joe Schmoe talking to the press and getting tore up by his commander for doing so because he "He was not the designated spokesperson." I think a club might be more emphatic in showing their disapproval of a member saying things and "putting words in the club's mouth."
I try not to get anyone else in my videos, club or not. But then, I believe in the golden rule and don’t really want others videoing me. Problem is, there are so many people these days that are so self absorbed, or don’t care, or think they are God’s gift. I am kinda happy one of them got shut down.
I just realized the Amish don't want their pictures taken either. Actually, even if not a club person you should NEVER make anyone the focal point of your camera (pic or Video) without permission, it is just rude otherwise!!!
This doesn't just apply to MCs, it applies to everyone. Whether you're a biker, banker, baker, astronaut or a nanny who's studying to become a banker, it is never ok to make someone the subject of a shot that you intend to make public without their express permission, especially if those images will be monetized. That's what model releases are for. Difference is, I'm sure the MC would take it in stride and assist you in correcting the matter and the Nanny would stomp you. As for people who wander through a shot that isn't focused on them, well, there are other people on the planet.
Just saw this video. It reminded me of a supporter that tried to mud check me and my club. We had the same Color as the 1% in the area. He even took pictures of us and ran when walked towards him. Five minutes later he comes back with a member of the club. He looked at us and started to laugh. He told the supporter to get lost. We were known to them. 😂
Get over it. You’re being video recorded by a dozen different cameras every time you go out in public. Some rando’s cell phone is not worth worrying about.
As a president of a Christian club,it's a matter of respect, I've been asked if it's OK to take a photo of my patch, because they liked it and I always ask the same, takes respect to get respect and no if it's not your club it ain't your business! 10:07
It is the culture people think they can video anyone they want without permission. In my humble opinion they should have helped him do a full factory reset. Let him lose all his data. You should do a video on social media rules and responses for clubs and everyday riders. I have been in situations where my instincts told me what to do but I maintained discipline. All I can say is I know what a cat feels like chasing a laser dot it will never catch. I almost blew a blood vessel in my head.
I understand a person's desire not to be filmed in public, but is privacy even possible in todays world? I hate being on video or photographed by individuals unknown, but I accept I cannot prevent it . To be clear, we are being videoed almost constantly from the time we leave our houses until we return once again. Some may disagree, but there are cameras watching you at traffic intersections, highways, banks, retail stores, post offices, hospitals, Doctor offices, day cares, malls, schools, bars, auto dealerships, restaurants, home security , "Ring" doorbell cameras etc etc etc. Sadly, there is no guarantee of privacy once you leave your home, and I'm not so sure you can truly feel secure in your home. Many overlook our phones are GPS tracked and our location is constantly recorded. The devices we use in our homes as personal assistants (re: Alexa/ Smart TV's) listen to your every word waiting for a keyword to incur a response. Do said devices share your personal information with advertisers, marketers government etc etc? The daily "Fool" is easy to spot as they gather pictures for social media and UA-cam, but were still being watched regardless.
Never run into a full club in action, I have encountered a single rider here and there over the years. Just be respectful and go about your business and there will be no issues.
A number of years ago I was at a non affiliated bike rally and a guy on a golf cart bumped into a 1% biker (and his bike). He was told to stop riding the golf cart in the camping area... (It's a damn bike rally). This genius got the idea to mouth off and the member told him to keep moving. He later drove said good cart passed their camp site and flipped off said club member. I don't know what happened but the guy ended up in the hospital and his car was flat the next morning. It looked like it was in a car crusher at a junkyard. Nobody can figure out what happened or how. The moral of the story... If a 1% tells you to leave... Make dust and catch wind.
I think it’s stupid that they worry so much about being videoed in public. I agree about the dude in the bar tho. If they don’t wanna be filmed in public, stay out of the public 🤷♂️
As I've become a creator/influencer. I've found that these supporters clearly haven't been to a black eye party. And I personally fully SUPPORT black eye parties for these goof that think their important. Gotta love the internet bud. Lol
There is a documentary from a few years ago floating around on here about crime in New Orleans. Somehow, they ended up interviewing this gator hunter out in St Charles parish or some such and this man was wearing one of our support shirts. The interviewer asked him about it and his response was really dumb.
Whenever I shoot video or take photos I'm always careful who and or whats in the subject. If I wanted to film somone or a group, I ask. Its ok if they say no. Just a respect thing. We're all living on ths same spinning rock. No need to be an ass.
Why would anybody think either of those is something you should do? Too many people are living through screens and keyboards and forget that in the real world you can still get your face smashed if you cross the wrong dude. It doesn't matter if it's a motorcycle club or Sam's Club, if it's not your business, don't get into it.
I use to be married to someone that her cousin is a 1%er. We went to visit him and he wanted his pic with us because he hadn’t seen us in yrs. Before I posted it I blurred out his patches. He asked me what the hell I was doing just post it. I said I’ll leave it the way it is. lol Even though I had his permission I didn’t want someone else chiming in and trying to start some shit.
Good info Monkey! I just wanna ride with brothers of the same influence, I'm not in a MC but in an association. 99.9% I have run into are good dudes. Just be respectful that's all there is to it!
I was at the Rat Run yesterday and it was impossible to record without catching a 1% patch somewhere. I have not gone thru the footage yet but they were doing the Burnout contest... There was good crowd and we had fun!
Couldn’t have said it better . Another thing to don’t stay staring like if we’re the only people there make you feel like your mad dogging us we in our own world but act up and get slapped up
Well said! 👍 BTW your bike tradin sounds like my gun collecting. I kinda got.mixed up and went "buy high, sell low". I used to joke that if the atf wanted to try to call me a "unlicensed dealer", first they'd need to find ONE sale that i didnt LOSE Fn money on lol
3:48 - Every man that has ever asked a woman out has spoken on the behalf of his member. In fact, in 99.999% of the cases, the member is influencing the conversation.
Here's a situation that happened while in sturgisthis year. Me and my ol lady were at the full throttle, in the main bar. Just inside the main bar. Up on the walls all are motorcycles. My ol lady t99k pictures with her cell phone of a couple., I didn't even realize she was doing this at first. About the time I looked over at her and noticed she was taking pictures of some bikes on the wall, I noticed the boat tail superglide just over her shoulder. I said to her, " hey there is one of those boattail superglides I was talking about yesterday ". So she turned around and took a picture. Bye the time she was taking a pic, my attention was elsewhere. Next thing I know a 1%er os right in her face (because it was loud in the bar), telling her to not be taking pictures of them. I looked over and seen a table with 5-6 members around it. All from a very old 1% club most of us are aware of. She told him she wasn't taking g pictures of them, "she wasnt taking pictures of the bikes". He kinda looked her in the eyed briefly. He looked over and made eye contact with me, then went back to his table. Had I realized they were sitting there, I would have told my ol lady to put her camera away but, I hadn't seen them. My ol lady was aggravated and thought the dude was a dick because it was obvious she was taking pictures of bikes that were way above anyone and not trying g to take pictures of them. So I had to explain to her that they don't want a camera of any kind in any direction anywhere near them. Above them or not, they do t want to accidentally or purposely be in a picture. On top of that, the dude was probably told to go say something to her be one of his brothers and was just wanting to go back to his table. 3rd, yeah he was talking to her but, he was really talking to me. That was obvious by the way he was facing her talking while looking at me with his eyes.
Yeah, that's over the top I agree. They weren't the subject so why worry about it. They are getting more touchy about it since some of the are losing their jobs once an employer finds out.
@@ProfessionalMonkey Personal opinion only , I’m not a biker but , if they are doing their jobs, there employer needs to stay out of there personal lives . What they do in there off time, short of a felony is no one’s business but theirs.
Great advice should contribute to a few extra years and maybe not having to have your punctuation emphasis become the center of one’s daily existence ❤ Really like this channel
Common sense. you either have it, or you're gonna get talked to about it. If I'm invited to a club event, I show up, talk to the members I know, talk to the members I don't know when they talk to me. whipping out the phone to video or snap pics of people you dont know is something you should already know not to do. in todays society its a rude habit that maybe some folks need to be straightened out on.
I'm a photographer and I have taken photos of events and I can tell you right now DON"T be stupid! Certain clubs don't want to be in your photos and yes they will tell you about it one way or another. Was at an event and noticed someone there that i have seen in the past taking photos and Stright up told him hey man hope you have permission to take some of those photos, he said naa im good. Next thing I knew someone rolled up on me and asked me hey you with him I said no I just seen him around before, they said doesn't look like he knows the lowdown and might need an education, I said very well then you know I was asked to be here specifically by the host and all my memory cards go to him first and foremost. The said carry on, next thing i know i hear the guy yelling at them saying hey it's a free country I have a 1st amendment right on public property, UGH. No idea what went down but next time I saw him he had broken fingers. So I asked him what happened you drop your bike? He said umm naaa I got an education. nough said. Been riding and photographing for over 30 years and it's a different world so mind your own business and be aware of your surroundings.
I think common sense should apply, the old saying mind your own business comes to mind. Also be careful who you make demands of. Was in a bar once and and some guys were taking selfies one percenters in the background took exception....bad move it was a table full of navy seals they got their butts handed to them on a silver platter and rightfully so. The seals were minding their own business and told them look we don't want trouble...the idiot in charge of the other side must not have seen the seal tattoo on the guys arm and said too bad you got trouble now....the seals mopped the floor with them over pics that they were in they background on. The moral of the story is you're NOT invincible there's always someone out there badder than you
You have to do what is needed to keep one sanity. Sounds like that was a lot of work on top of the stress and work you are already doing. I do hope now you get a bit of well deserved rest.
I saw a similar event take place in Las Vegas. In one of the better known buffets there was a table of gentlemen who appeared as if they just walked off the set of Goodfellas. Stereotypical mafia looking dudes. There was a young Asian tourist couple sitting a couple tables over, taking pics and videos of the awesome, newly renovated Caesar's Palace buffet. One of the young muscle looking guys from the table of "mobsters" went over to the young couple and asked them what the fuck they were doing. Scared the shit out of this innocent young man and woman who had no idea what this dude was talking about. They barely spoke English! They were trying to explain they were just taking vacation photos when the dude realized the whole buffet was looking at him and went back and sat down. I thought for sure we were going to see someone get whacked.
@@ProfessionalMonkey Sure, but you could replace "1%" or "MC" with "Mafia" or "OC" or "Made Man" for the same rules and warnings and guidelines about how not to get hurt or killed. Not something to be happy about or celebrate. You see my point? I just don't understand why people think that is ok, or something to look up to
Well, I never thought about it before, But I whatched after I smoked. So, like there are cameras everywhere, and depending on GPS location,, Could be hard not to be video / photo.
1%ers... Treat 'em like you would treat someone else's wife or girlfriend. Be friendly & polite but don't video or photograph them & don't expect to be leaving with 'em...
Being what I call "Offended by proxy" is a far too common occurrence in ALL parts of our society these days. My attitude is if it doesn't affect you personally, STFU !
Two points , truth spoken , and respect are key , you did absolutely the right thing , an I am too a nobody .love the vids ,and the topics , you produce , even though I'm not a bagger guy , but the chopper stuff is very fun to watch glad you have brown sugar ,love the stones , and the name choice cheers from the great white north .
A most probably silly question, I wish to get feedback on wearing a "Sons of Arthritis Hip and Knee Chapter" or "Osteo Chapter" t-shirt? Is it likely to get me into trouble or just laughed with?
Supported my mc for 2 years- would never do that. Then hang around and still would not. Then prospect - I’d engage it in a respectful way. Not something to throw your weight around over.
You are so right... I saw a guy film a bunch of Slingshot Owners of America (SOA) and one of them got so mad he threw his pumpkin spice latte on him.

You should do a video on social media rules and responses for clubs and everyday riders. I have been in situations where my instincts told me what to do but I maintained discipline. All I can say is I know what a cat feels like chasing a laser dot it will never catch. I almost blew a blood vessel in my head.
It’s a shame that this video has to even be made. Common sense should be to mind your own, but common sense ain’t so common anymore.
Exactly.
No shit, you can be Mr right, but there’s a lot of time before the pigs can save you…
Hmmm... I had to go back and look at the Smokeout video. I didn't even notice...😑
See?
I think it’s stupid that they worry so much about being videoed in public. I agree about the dude in the bar tho. If they don’t wanna be filmed in public, stay out of the public 🤷♂️
No see ,no hear . No speak! My rule of 👍
Well, I saw a guy watch your videos and called you fat! I Said HEY! I support that channel.... And I'm sure he RESEMBLES that remark!
That sucks, anyone know him to fix the situation?

No one seems to know who the fella is.
The guy needs to stay in his own lane, you are always on point take care
Imagine be so tough that you threaten someone via email. Weird.
They call that a 'dry snitch'.......them get beatup
I use to be married to someone that her cousin is a 1%er. We went to visit him and he wanted his pic with us because he hadn’t seen us in yrs. Before I posted it I blurred out his patches. He asked me what the hell I was doing just post it. I said I’ll leave it the way it is. lol Even though I had his permission I didn’t want someone else chiming in and trying to start some shit.
Good info Monkey! I just wanna ride with brothers of the same influence, I'm not in a MC but in an association. 99.9% I have run into are good dudes. Just be respectful that's all there is to it!
I think it's called Repect their space !!!
I was at the Rat Run yesterday and it was impossible to record without catching a 1% patch somewhere. I have not gone thru the footage yet but they were doing the Burnout contest... There was good crowd and we had fun!
Couldn’t have said it better . Another thing to don’t stay staring like if we’re the only people there make you feel like your mad dogging us we in our own world but act up and get slapped up
You’re saving someone from a beating if they’re smart enough to listen.
“It’s my business model.”
Its a good way to get invited to a party for sure
They are getting more touchy about it since some of the are losing their jobs once an employer finds out.
thats uncalled for
@@ProfessionalMonkey
Personal opinion only , I’m not a biker but , if they are doing their jobs, there employer needs to stay out of there personal lives . What they do in there off time, short of a felony is no one’s business but theirs.
Thank you brother, another good vidio. Give the Mrs our love and respect, have a great nite yall!
Spot on as always, brother!
Much appreciated!
I think these videos are important to those of us who don’t understand club rules.
I like doing them, but only when it matters.
Don’t take pictures of anyone with out permission. It common sense…… but who has that anymore.
Love and respect from nz ❤ what is the oldest bike you have riden
I have a 1980 Shovelhead FLT right now, but I used to have a 74 Honda.
@ProfessionalMonkey I'm not a biker but I like old school bikes
@ProfessionalMonkey in nz we got a bit of everything. How are british and classic Japanese bikes looked at in the usa
Great advice should contribute to a few extra years and maybe not having to have your punctuation emphasis become the center of one’s daily existence ❤
Really like this channel
The moral of the story is you're NOT invincible there's always someone out there badder than you
I have always come correct and offered respect. Several clubs. Always recceived respect in return. I have had more difficulties with fugazy LEOs.
Well said!
@@ProfessionalMonkey Thank you.
Hi I watch your videos I am interested in putting a cam in my bike I have a 2019 street glide do you have some one you would recommend thank you
💪🏻😎👍🏻 Respect and Honor to 81 the brotherhood
I agree 100% I have enough trouble keeping my own house in Order ,I don't need some IDJIT sticking his nose in where it don't blong . 😂😂
Great advice. Another great video!!
@ 7:30 "That's bad" and yet totally legal. Guess it could be a good way to get some people behind bars who need to be
You can be right legally, and still be in the hospital. You see my point?
@@ProfessionalMonkey Sure, but you could replace "1%" or "MC" with "Mafia" or "OC" or "Made Man" for the same rules and warnings and guidelines about how not to get hurt or killed. Not something to be happy about or celebrate. You see my point?
I just don't understand why people think that is ok, or something to look up to
Well, I never thought about it before,
But I whatched after I smoked.
So, like there are cameras everywhere,
and depending on GPS location,,
Could be hard not to be video / photo.
1%ers... Treat 'em like you would treat someone else's wife or girlfriend.
Be friendly & polite but don't video or photograph them & don't expect to be leaving with 'em...
😂😂 perfect
Being what I call "Offended by proxy" is a far too common occurrence in ALL parts of our society these days. My attitude is if it doesn't affect you personally, STFU !
Ok please tell me the Hurly-Durbison hat can come in a flat bill?? If so i will buy one asap!!
There’s a flat bill on there it’s just not trucker style.
The motorcycle club with the absolutely worst supporters are the ones in SF Bay area. They're as bad as snitches.
Say it louder for the clowns in the back!!!
As the immortal movie “Glengarry Glen Ross” teaches, you don’t even open your mouth without knowing what the shot is
Great piece of information for life...keep doing what you do .
Thanks, will do!
A most probably silly question, I wish to get feedback on wearing a "Sons of Arthritis Hip and Knee Chapter" or "Osteo Chapter" t-shirt? Is it likely to get me into trouble or just laughed with?
Doubtful, those are pretty common. I mean, could someone decide to be a jerk? Sure, but doubtful.
I saw the video and I admit, at first, I went "WOOO", but immediately realized they were just walking by. No harm no foul. MLLH&R
Situational Awareness.
Supported my mc for 2 years- would never do that.
Then hang around and still would not.
Then prospect - I’d engage it in a respectful way.
Not something to throw your weight around over.
Good video, good content. I enjoyed it. I need that hat cuz i ride a Hurly too
Appreciate it
Here is another way to get your ass kicked by anyone, don't carry a gun & don't train religiously with it.
