@@GlucksGym I watched the breakdown, but I didn't see how budget options stack against the super-budget (besides the bar in the metal ring). And in my head, cheap bumpers will last a long time in a home gym, and for 50% a piece, I can just replace them once they fail (if they actually do).

Just a FYI there are two different types of stall mats. You want to buy the URLB ones or something with the word urethane in the marketing. They smell/off gas considerably less than the other kind. They cost the same.
Over the course of 3 years and waiting for sales, I've gotten 2 sets of adjustable dumbbells (giving me 5 - 90 lbs), a barbell, 585 lbs of plates, a squat stand, calisthenics station, plate loaded lat pulldown, bicep/tricep machine, a leg extenstion/leg curl combo and an X frame recumbent bike for around $2000. Love being able to work out anytime I want!
Your home gym build videos keep getting better and better: the choices, the B roll, and pacing were excellent. The one addition would be a simple pulley system like Spud offers, you can get a ton of movements while you wait on your idea FT system.
I really enjoy these budget home gym builds. It is a great help for ideas and items. Also awesome give away this past year. Love the channel and how it has grown.
Yeah I have those bells of steel industrial dumbbells. Thought I was budget savvy until the company I ordered my bumper plates from gave me 5 lb bumpers... Looked so good I splured on rogues 10 & 15 lbs dumbbells bumpers. Even found 2.5 lbs bumpers. Nice product.
Fantastic build video. Love all your choices. If anyone is starting from zero, this is a video for them. Thanks so much for all the work you put into this. The information is awesome.
I actually bought grind fitness power rack and bench. Won a Flybird incline from Gluck. Currently selling fringe 370 lb set as i am switching over to thin profile kilo plates. Channel is the best. I have the BOS power bar and another bar with IPF & IWF rings
This is great advice for new home gym owners. Unfortunately I’m way past that $2000 mark. And still looking to replace my rogue squat stand with a good rack thinking the 4000 series from REP.
I just got a Rep PR-1000 that came with the AB-3000v2 bench, the lat pulldown/low row attachment, weight storage rack, and dip station, all for just over $1000. PR-1000 has 2" hole spacing, in contrast to the PR-1100, which has the 3", so it should also be more cross compatible with Titan and other brands.

Love my home gym well worth it. I invested more money in my bench, bar, and majority of my weights (strength co and most of my 45’s were from FBMarket). I recommend Facebook Market :)
One thing to note is if you spend the money on a rogue barbell and you by with certain plates it ships for free. It might actually turn out to be a better deal than going with a separate budget option.
I really think Kensui's AdjustaBELLs is an option for dumbbells that should be included. They don't have the problem that other plate-loaded dumbbells have of that pointy end sticking into your thigh when you're doing a bench press. Plus they are very much a budget-friendly price.
I love these types of videos, but was wondering if you could do one a little differently. Start with a training program first, and build a gym to do it at various budgets? Thanks
Don’t get the Titan x-3 flat foot rack if you want to add the lat pull down. I guess they don’t make them. I’ll mod one to fit one day. Get the x-3 bolt down…….and don’t bolt it down, apparently it’s still stable.
Probably Bells Barenaked power bar, Titan's Elite Power bar, or if you can get lucky on Rogue's Boneyard, an Ohio Power bar. Those are my top 3 budget power bar choices (not in order)
I recently went with the Bells Of Steel Light Commercial 5.1 power rack and I'm very happy with it. Got it on sale for about $600. Pros: Includes sandwich and roller J cups Includes safety straps Large internal depth about 40'' Flat Footed Very sturdy Cons: There is a crossmember that connects the back two uprights and it makes setting up some bench movements a little more complicated uprights are 2.3x2.3 so the attachment ecosystem is limited

My tip is don’t buy dumbbells, and use the money on a higher quality bar (or two), rack and bench or accessories. Make getting the barbell you like the number 1 priority. Aim for doing a few things very well rather than a bunch of things that have hardware so poor in quality you end up not using them.
If you use Standard plates, barbells, dumbbells etc they are way, WAY cheaper and easier to get hold of used! You only need Olympics is you are lifting crazy heavy. For bodybuilding, the cult of Crossfit or general weight lifting for all round fitness. Using Standard means quality bars are a quarter of the price new, let alone used. The weight plates are even cheaper! Olympic weights and bars are a complete waste of money for the vast majority of trainers!
I’m cheap as shit and let me tell you Walmart plates Metal or rubber work just fine. I bought bumper plates off Walmart for just under a dollar a pound and drop and slam the shit out of them and they’re fine. The weight is almost spot on too. Also the Metal I think mine are cap I honestly don’t know, all I know is I give them hell and they’re fine too.
Did we miss anything? What would you do differently if you had $2000 to work with?
CAP's bumpers in amazon are way cheaper than any of the suggested ones (either budget or better versions)
