I have godin multiac encore nylon. And i have trouble getting great sounds from floor monitor in loud live situation with my helix LT. It seems lack of headroom and good tone. Is this fishman platinum a good solutions?
I would certainly give it a try as this pedal is very versatile. I have a Martin acoustic guitar with nylon strings and it works and sounds great with it. It doesn't hurt to try before you buy
Hi. I have an eléctric guitar with humbuckers and electricpiezo. Do you think this pedal can be used with my guitar . And also want to know if it is ok conect this pedal to the imput of my amplifier. Thank you.
Yes, you can absolutely use on both electric and acoustic guitars, although it is primarily made for acoustic instruments. It has a regular output so you can plug it in to an amp, and it also has a send and return option for effects loop, if preferred.
You're welcome! Another way I like to use this pedal is with 2 amps. Clean signal goes out through xlr while the 1/4 goes through your pedalboard. Really cool for bigger venues and also recordings
I have no experience with Aura Spectrum, but it looks it has more features than Pro EQ. Would have to check it out. I use Pro EQ at studio, gigs and even at lessons. It has everything I really need, and it sounds good. Really good
Spoke with Fishman support and the tech told me that the benefit of the Platinum Pro is the 4 band EQ. He suggest that for acoustic nylon, both the Platinum and the Aura would be used, one for modeling (Aura), the other for fully analog preamp (Platinum). Know that the Aura is also 100 percent analog.
Platinum has the very handy and successful parametric EQ system. You can dial out the middle overly twangy accoustic frequency that you get with under the saddle piezo pickups. I installed a K&k pure mini, so the twang problem is even less of a concern, and since the mini is passive, this unit is a blessing and works great. Also, no modulating, all analog! I really enjoy that one of the stomp switches allows you to go from live to tuner mode, which then cuts the signal. Great for downtime.

Can you use a distorted signal with this preamp? And also is the power adapter separate for the Fishman?
You can, but I would put a distortion after the preamp. At least that's how I use it. 1Spot adapter works perfectly fine, and 9V battery lasts long
@@joziviolin Thank you so much

I have the Aura Spectrum, are many of the functions here duplicated on the Platinum?

Can you use this for vocals?
I have not tried this pedal with vocals. It is primarily made for acoustic instruments, but you can certainly try it and see if it works
