    I can't wait to try all this. My tone master has just arrived home but I'm in concert tonight and tomorrow far from home. Can't wait to come home on Sunday to try this!

    Thanks for this one! I use a Taylor 12 string acoustic for a few songs in our gigs (Hole Hearted 😀). The Taylor sounds great but the signal coming from the guitar is weak, you have to boost the signal. I bet I can get a good sound through the TMP.

    Nice video...been using the acoustasonic amp similar to what you have set up in acoustic gigs. Tried a different approach for the past few days, parallel instrument routing and combined 2 acoustic IRs in the first effect of the signal chain. Learned the parrallel routing through one of your videos in getting thick elec gtr sounds and it worked beautifully in a band setting. Anyway, 2 acoustic IRs in parrellel first, into a studio tube preamp, then chorus delays, reverb, and a boost for solos. Used to have a studio compressor at the end of the chain but decided to remove that. Felt it was changing the tone of the guitar too much. Your info on the soundhole cover is also relevent when it comes to highly resonating acoustic guitars, it's a lifesaver during gigs, although it does change the tone, yet changed tone is better than that feedback that you mentioned. lol...anyway, enjoying the TMP as much as you do. Thanks for these straightforward videos and post not the usual comparison of modelers. At this stage, most of them are all good and it depends on the user! 👍🤘

    Hey Damion, can you do some videos on good mid- and highgain tones with the TMP? I just got mine and it's pretty hard to build a good Highgain preset from scratch

  • @modalities
    @modalities 7 місяців тому

    I recently sold all of my Martin's and don't own an acoustic after 30+ years. Using a Godin 5th Ave, I use the Acoustasonic head with the JC Cab at the end of the signal chain and adjust the mic and placement. It would be great if we could change the pedal colors, that pink is painful. 🙂 Used to own a few JC-120's "the beasts" and that chorus is awesome. Use it about 50% of the time.
    Your advice about reading amp specs is very welcomed as your comment about people arguing over modelers. I agree with you 100%.

    • @damionandy
      @damionandy  7 місяців тому

      I thought about adding a cab in this, how do you like the results? the JC amp is one of my favorites on this unit. I'm glad you resonated with my comment about the comparisons, it's cool that I'm the only one making these videos, but I'd really like to learn from the community, too hahaha. Until then, I'll keep pushing out videos! thanks for hanging around! I hope you have a great weekend!

    I'm just thinking of buying the TMP and you've been awesome you're one of the only guys that enjoys using this thing and show us what it can do besides you're a great player. Other UA-cam channels focus on comparing if the Helix sounds better or the Quad Cortex sounds better or that the TMP does not have capture feature , I think sounds really good and we have to remember that its a new product I'm sure that Fender will add more and more effects and features soon , thank you for making these kind of videos. I have a question for you can you set different presets or effects for each song? I would like to see and example of that how can you set different songs and how you can switch between songs on a gig.

    • @damionandy
      @damionandy  7 місяців тому +1

      Thank you for the kind words! I wish there were more people showing how to be creative with it instead of "This has x, while the TMP doesn't", but I'll ride the channel growth showing how I use it haha. It does have a feature for this, I believe you commented on another video where I showcase the setlist / song feature. I personally do not use this, I'm kinda a plain jane guy when it comes to my rigs, I keep it simple and use this like a pedal board. I need to do more research into the setlist feature before I do a dedicated video on it. I just don't use it in my workflow.

    Please try some acoustic IRs. I’d like to know if the piezo sound can be converted to more like a microphone sound.
