I liked the one with the fridge and the bug bathroom one.

I think the last one just doesn't want to rent the room to you. Just like a youth hostel in Xi'an, they just won’t let me check in. I cant do anything about this situation. I can only continue to find a suitable place to book in online 😅

there may be some racism involved. I dunno. I wish you luck finding a place anyhow.

Nah it has nothing to do with race or gender. China has like a super outdated 40 years old regulation that only allows qualified hotels or apartments to accept foreign tenants. It's currently under reforms.

@@martjnmao6808 I know that's true for some hotels but not sure about apartments. One guy once told me their 小区 doesn't accommodate foreigners but I found a house in the same estate and the property management company had no problems when I went to register and get my entrance card(门禁卡). It's a mixture of both.

Bro be careful with the 中介人, they take half the price of the apartment money also every apartment that is not公寓 你可以谈价。

There is no permit. Stand gour ground and call the cops. Ask the cops to cite the law and be sure its on video. They will eventually cave.

Nope I think there IS a foreigner permit thingy in hotel/apartment regulations. Yeah the cops would be able to show.

There's an outdated one initially set up in the 1980s that's currently under reworks but it seems that not everywhere works the same pace.
