dude its also because native speakers don't freak out at someone who's clearly a native speaker speak their language. xiaoma and laoshu are foreigners who learned Chinese, so it gets way more of a reaction out of people compared to june who speaks Chinese natively. And the fact that he explained that he's half Chinese explains why he's so good at speaking it, so people don't react as much
Bro this is legendary, glad you're back! Crazy thing, unless I'm mistaken, I think you've mentioned in another video (Xiaomanyc 小马在纽约) that you grew up in Beijing, you're actually CHINESE! so that makes this 10X more funnier 😂😂, then having a convo @ 4:07 about the word gate 😩, Thats like me going to England and they're surprised I speak English 😩. Love the vid bro, you make me want to learn some Mandarin. Keep it up.
The interaction with the owner was so beautiful to see
What a sweet young man! I’m really glad I stumbled upon his channel ! 👍🏾
He’s backkkk 🎉
💯
Well well well i see oshin in a realm outside sims hehhehehe
I read this as hes black... yippie
Nobody cares what color or race a person is, when they dwell on race it becomes apparent that they are indeed racists!
do you speak chinese too?
do you speak chinese too?
Omg!! They were NOT surprised or impressed look at their faces at the first location 😂😂😂
Why should they be either of those things?
@@cobbler88literal weirdo.
They were surprisingly indifferent about it 🙂 But then I saw his face later in the video and understood - it is clear he is part Asian.
@@cobbler88I hear you, but let's be real when white people do it everybody's oh my gosh praises praises extra stuff privileges. But when it's a person that's non-white unfazed
Maybe they have already seen someone like this before
I love that you have a language not spanish. I speak spanish and english. It would be rad to me if i could speak chinese! You make it sound so lovely
Hey man, I appreciate you wanting to bring the Chinese culture to light so that more people are able to understand what they are eating. I wish you blessings with your vibe.🙌🏽🙌🏽🙏🏼🙏🏼..
Reminds me of Laoshu 😢. Beautiful to see you sharing language and culture
Wow! a mix of black and Chinese. really handsome guy.
I love the feed back your getting from everyone. Keep this videos going. ❤
I like the restaurant and food review concepts for the video. I particularly enjoyed the interview with owner. It's taking it the next step beyond "OMG, I didn't expect this guy to speak my language!" and going deeper into culture.
100% how I felt watching that.. like wow.. this guy can relax and really engage with people.. that's nice.
Where are you storing all that food? l became full watching you order the different items.
I love to see black people speaking other languages. Good job to both you and your mother. Your (Mandarin) is on point.
Brother you are super inspiring to a guy like me. Very impressive how you’re able to speak different languages and switch between them with ease. I am a fan.
Yo my man please make longer videos like you did with Xiaomonyc. I love to see the reactions you get when they notice you speak fluent mandarin!
And keep loading up and stay consistent you will eventually get a lot of viewers and subscribers bro!
Instead of reactions I'd love to hear conversations.. maybe while having tea / a meal with them.. longer conversations with people.. I would love to see Chinese folk in their natural comfortable self, relaxed & engaging 😊
Wow! I use to live in Rowland Heights California. Heavily populated with Chinese. I'm Mexican/American and I learned a few words to get around. And they also tripped whenever I say Hello and Thank you.
He looks Chinese or Asian. They shouldn’t be surprised that he can speak the language.
Glad that I found your channel! I LOVE interactions like this and I think we need so much more of this! I biggest goal is to become fluent in Korean so seeing you bravely go about your day really inspires me. Keep the content coming! I LOVE IT!!
I miss laoshuu man, i just found out your channel this is definitely nostalgic for me, RIP LAOSHUU
you are a young man who alot of people can look up to! your awesome.
Thank you for posting this, I'm happy to see more content from you 😇
Yes!! Finally!! The content we’ve been waiting for. 🤙🏽🔥
1:59 she was ready to risk it all 🤣
I know there are very different languages in China, you are an a amazing person and thank you for blessing us with your presence
Great to see a new vid- I love how just speaking the language opens the door to life stories from those you sit next too. Food and languages bring people together. Love your style, hope you keep going
That Mario Bro’s sound effect when the lady popped up had me dying 😅
nice one mate, but one thing that makes xiao ma so popular is having chinese subtitles. Some of us watch to practice mandarin, while some cannot speak mandarin!
They were lowkey rude but I love this guy’s attitude!! This was my first time watching him and I really like him already.
What a lovely guy and you can absolutely see in his good attitude that he is part Chinese . Great video 👍🏻
Aw she got all excited when you did the work hard slogan. Great vid man. Much love from UK
Love it that you’re uploading again! Very enjoyable video! Keep doing content that you enjoy!
Please make longer videos if u can, glad you uploaded 💚
You are amazing. So happy your mum taught you her language. I’m a Jamaican native and wished I’d learn from my great grandfather who was Irish.
Love it!!!!! Lived on Shenzhen for over a year and couldn't get my tones right. You better do that sir!!!!
speaking more than one language has to be one of the best thing about living.
June I was waiting for this one man. You are truly a well-spoken beast, and your content is always enjoyable.
Really great video! Thank you for posting!
I’m happy his mother taught him her language. All parents should be like that.
Great video! I am happy to hear you're bilingual. You have the best of both worlds. I am surprised they were shocked you spoke Mandarin. It was obvious to me you are a handsome blend of your black and Asian parents. 😊 👍🏾
I live in NY and would like to find this food court. 😋
très bien filmé ! conversations incroyables! c'est enfin sorti ! c'est super pour pratiquer mon chinois! 十分感谢你啊
0:17 based off of that customer server I would’ve left lol
Exactly not Even a hello. I know they about to be stingy with the duck sauce
They seemed racist to me
Welcome back June mu 💪🏾😎 good video bro I pray 🙏🏾 that everything is well keep up the good content
As a beginner speaking Mandarin, I have received blank stares and totally been ignored. I assumed that I misspoke but learned over time Chinese ppl are shocked and caught off guard. This gesture although challenging, has bridged gaps across cultures in my very own community. My goal is to become fluent and show OUT when I visit China 🙌🏾
WOW! You are one of a kind. God bless you 🙏🙏. Respectfully you
FUCKING CHEERED WHEN I SAW U UPLOAD!
🙏🏽💯
Great video, hope to see more! 👍🏾
ALWAYS loved th Chinese ppl, very kind polite ppl
Those people are far from always being polite 😂😂😂😂😂
@@bellamonroe7322 You obviously don't know the Chinese ppl
@@bellamonroe7322 They WAY MORE polite then Americans
@@andoncroft maybe to you but not to me as a black person.
Why are some black people always inserting themselves into everything ? Jesus Christ! It's irritating, and I am AA.
I'm tuned in. I'd love to see this interaction in different cities in their Asian Market. Thank for sharing !
A beautiful young man.my beloved grandson whom I lost age 20 was black and Korean. He reminds me of him. I love his videos.❤
Dude I was wondering how I was subscribed to you, I subscribed after seeing your first video forever ago, but after watching for a minute I immediately said OH SHI it's him hahaha, please keep making more, this is great content
As a dark colored man that has traveled the world, we will ALWAYS be looked at in this "unwelcoming" way. But, through persistence and bridging the gap through the language barrier, it's possible to earn the respect that is needed to establish that connection with another race. Keep pushing - man of color. Keep pushing.
Love this! Respect ❤
take a compliment gracefully bc you deserve it, own it bc you have Chinese heritage too. Love the show.
Glad this came up in my suggestions. Looking forward to seeing more
the heck, as a Chinese, your Chinese pronunciation is even better than me?!!
He too is Chinese, if you watched the video, there is where they asked him why his chinese is good and he said his mom is chinese(from Beijing to be exact).
Which means You are him and he is you. It just comes naturally to him
His mother is Chinese, so he is as well
Yeah bro…as said above…he’s also Chinese.
maybe because he is a native Chinese speaker?? lmao... if you are overseas raised Chinese then ofc ur Chinese will not be as good as his
His mother is Chinese and he was also born in China so he knows the langue well. It’s not only the language but his mannerisms is notable Chinese.. Sometimes when he’s paying he uses both hands and you see that in China.
Not surprising… my friend’s father moved to Taiwan and lived there for 19 years… was fluent… we were in an elevator and these two women were speaking Mandarin(?)… he elbowed me then jumped in their conversation… the look on their faces was hilarious… when they exited, I asked what they were talking about and it was a tv soap opera that he watched as well… he had them shook… 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Chinesse people are generous people. Their gesture like cool as ice. But their heart very warm.
That was a great and entertaining video! Keep creating those videos and showing the world who you are by speaking amazing Mandarin in NYC.
Thanks!
I thought I was watching a video from Frankie’s channel 😂 good vid nonetheless 🔥
5:21 Woah there, Kim Jong-Un. Not so fast.
0:46 Jacket said it all. That employee seen the assignment and moved on 💀
The absolute joy and relief the express when he speaks their language is so touching. Their eyes light up and they start smiling and seem more enfage and welcoming. Y'all we need to learn all the languages 😂 or teach the next generation tk be fluent in at least 5. The world opens up when we all can understand each other😊
I'm so glad you started a channel, don't stop!!
I think when people compliment your Mando you should reply with "I"m Chinese, I'd hope so!" 🤣
Yes
This is the comment!! All of their responses complimenting and asking how does he speak mandarin so well, THAT clearly shows they SEE him as black. ☕️
He’s mixed not just black nor just Chinese but both
