what kind of bobbin is that ? I got my aura many years ago and I haven't kept up with the new merch available for them.

Hello MableFern, it's an overdrive bobbin - a step up from the Jumbo bobbins that come with the standard Aura. To spin on an overdrive bobbin you woud need an overdrive head as he shaft is a lot longer, also the overdrive flyer comes with it.

HI Jan, I suggest that you buy an Aura Hybrid Kit. This will give your the flexibility of the Aura Flyer for thick yarns and also a Jumbo bobbin to go with it. You'll be able to play your traditional yarns on it also as the Jumbo bobbin holds a lot. Hope that helps.

So sorry for the tardie reply Trudie, oh yes it would! it's the tension system that is the game changer, it works at pulling your yarn through right to the top of the bobbin. No hand winding with this wheel.
