hey I've done some research and I've found some info; i have come to the conclusion that *the ping-pong shaped ones* are most likely to be *snapping turtle eggs* because of their roundness and *they are native to both Minnesota and Wisconsin.* as for *the oval ones* , you said that they look like they were *laid just recently* right? I've done some research and found that *painted turtle eggs are also oval-like in shape* and guess what? *painted turtle eggs get laid around late spring and mid summer.* which is around *June 20 - June 26!* and this video was posted on *June 27* so there are pretty good odds that the oval ones are *painted turtle eggs.* *they are also native to Minnesota and Wisconsin* too so i am pretty sure about this.
If I was a kid and even thought about touching those eggs, my mom would whoop my butt. Such amazing girls for saving these eggs from horrible people. ❤️
The round ones are snapping turtle eggs. I from the west side of Wisconsin and we had a snapping turtle laid its eggs in our yard last summer. They looked exactly like the spherical ones you have.

Hope their not venomous- that wouldn’t be a welcome surprise lol! Edit: I just want to say I meant venomous snake not turtle- as I can see that would be confusing! :)
I remember when I was in elementary school doing a report on turtles and my mom comes running into my room while screaming, "You need to go outside! There's a turtle laying eggs in the backyard!" and sure enough, a turtle had dug a hole at the edge of the woods in our yard (we lived near a marsh) and laid her eggs! We think it was an Eastern Painted Turtle. Unfortunately though, a lot of foxes also lived around us and when we went to check the place where the eggs were buried, they were dug up and eaten 😢
Round: Turtle Oval: Maybe a lizard of some sort? I know lizard eggs tend to have an oval shape and like they said at the beginning of the video, it could be a mix of different reptile types so like turtle and lizard or turtle and snake.
I think that the round are also Snapping but I think that False Map Turtles aren’t native to the lake area. They are more on the Western part of Michigan.
My guess is oblong is a red-eared slider. (Yeah, out of everything I could've picked, I picked the invasive species). I remember accidentally stepping on a duck eggs once when I was tiny after the mother had laid and left and I literally cried for 3 days
How could they just throw these sweet things??
I am so sorry
Right?? Not egg related but I had to let an orphaned baby mouse outside because my mom wouldnt let me raise it. It was still just a little pinkie and I cried about it for a whole week. I don't think I forgave my mom for that. 😭 making me murder a baby basically..
ur so sweet
My dog killed a duck egg for no reason
I had a dream where I was friends with a frog and the frog got eaten by a bigger frog (don’t ask) and I woke up crying lmao I can relate
Everyone: talking about the Alaska and Africa thing
Me: *dats a lot of eggs*
OooOooO wouldn’t it be cool if they were platypus eggs!!
Maddi ikr!
Yh
Not me stop assuming
Alaska and Africa thing?
The round egg looked like a sun when it was candled, so pretty🥰
My money is on the round ones being snapping turtles! Could you imagine if all 33 hatched snappers??? 33 angry baby dinosaurs 🤣
When my chicken houses were build we had a baby snapper in the chicken house. We don’t know for how long it had been in there and seem to be newly born but to my knowledge it wasn’t angry
Me whos been binging this channel and doesn't follow regularly: hmn I wonder what they are let me go see the video that they hatch.

So lovely to See caring kids with supportive parents. I would have done the exact same as a child, except I would have probably wanted to keep them and most likely failed. So cool These kids did exactly the right thing
i love how you treat kids like adults. you’re so kind, much love :)
hey I've done some research and I've found some info;
i have come to the conclusion that *the ping-pong shaped ones* are most likely to be *snapping turtle eggs* because of their roundness and *they are native to both Minnesota and Wisconsin.*
as for *the oval ones* , you said that they look like they were *laid just recently* right?
I've done some research and found that *painted turtle eggs are also oval-like in shape* and guess what?
*painted turtle eggs get laid around late spring and mid summer.*
which is around *June 20 - June 26!*
and this video was posted on *June 27* so there are pretty good odds that the oval ones are *painted turtle eggs.*
*they are also native to Minnesota and Wisconsin* too so i am pretty sure about this.
Big brain
The video was posted on June 27 but it was filmed quite a bit before then
@@justicecampbell3892 I don't even remember typing that it was 2 years ago 😭
I'm super impressed how those girls talked about the eggs! You must have educated them well! :)
Ive watched this when it was first uploaded and im wondering when there will be an update
If I was a kid and even thought about touching those eggs, my mom would whoop my butt. Such amazing girls for saving these eggs from horrible people. ❤️
🤣🤣🤣 whoop my butt

The round ones are snapping turtle eggs. I from the west side of Wisconsin and we had a snapping turtle laid its eggs in our yard last summer. They looked exactly like the spherical ones you have.
Well a lot of turtles have spherical eggs though

I have been extremely curious about these little ones... COVID quarantine made me think this was longer than just a month ago. Anxiously waiting for their hatching day, and eventual release!
The kids are absolutely adorable! You can tell Emily, or someone, has taught them so much about reptiles!
This is a crazy story. Also, I'm guessing that they're the species: turtle
Deadman Art turtle isn’t a species. They’re an order.
@@candyflossy7549 I think they know that, I'm pretty sure that this is a joke, if so it's really funny!

I wish I could just come over to Emily and Ed’s house and casually talk to them! Live your channel! Also can you maybe make a new egg eating snake video?!
Before u get made fun of then maybe change live to love?
@@olenkaba7699 I thought they meant make a live stream
Those kids were so cool. I really appreciate the interaction.
I think, at the very least, Id yell at my kids if they were doing anything like the kids who disturbed the eggs. It baffles me that parents are so ignorant and/or neglectful to teach their kid to, idk...NOT completely destroy what is obviously a nest?? Anyway good on you two for taking them in and doing your best for them. I’m sure they’ll appreciate it
Ok yelling isn’t going to teach them anything, I would sit down with them and explain why I was angry for them doing that
@@luafabregatjones8107 pretty sure they meant they would yell at their children bc they were already taught not to do things like that. Sometimes kids need to be yelled at to understand the magnitude of what they're doing and to take what u say seriously
“Egg-eating snakes are in, like, Alaska”
“......Africa...”
Underrated and first comment :p
Egg eating snake be in my closet Xd

Unknown eggs?
My thoughts:
a Realist: Turtle/snake eggs 🐢
pessamist: 4dozen venomous snakes 🐍
Optimus: Dinosaur eggs 🦕🦖😎
Optimus prime: dinosaur.
Sleep deprived: Ping pong balls!
No, optimist would said legless lizard or dragon eggs. Even tought legless lizard don't live in America and the one specie I know about don't lay egg (I think in english it's "slow worm"? In French, it's just "Orvet commun")
Cookie / the French name, to an English speaking person, sounds a lot more boring not gonna lie.
Amy Kinz apparently the kids in the beach were sleep deprived.
These two kids are freaking heroes and I think that needs to be recognized. Brave enough to step up to other kids being cruel (and honestly probably criminal to some extent?), smart enough to realize when to intervene, and extra smart enough to bring them to someone who knows what they're doing to give the animals a chance in the wild.
GOOD JOB, Y'ALL. I don't even know you and I'm proud of you.
Thaaaat being said, I have to be that person and ask -- why weren't you (Emily) or they (the kids) wearing masks? =/

@@3_up_moon i mean you could also just count them yourself. :P there are 48, based on my own counting, and verified with what they said in the video.

Round: Turtle
Oval: Maybe a lizard of some sort? I know lizard eggs tend to have an oval shape and like they said at the beginning of the video, it could be a mix of different reptile types so like turtle and lizard or turtle and snake.
I’m so glad those kids saved those two kinds of eggs it was so sweet
Round eggs: Snapping Turtle & the oval ones: maybe a false map turtle
I think that the round are also Snapping but I think that False Map Turtles aren’t native to the lake area. They are more on the Western part of Michigan.
@@hiratalkap4114 I don't know why but those round eggs look like sea turtle eggs because I know that sea turtle eggs are round
Ryan Yee I agree that sea turtles have round eggs but Emily is in the Michigan/Wisconsin area and there aren’t any sea turtles native to that area.
The round ones are 100% snappers, quick google looks like painted for the others
@@tomfisher3779 they could also be soft shelled, as they have round eggs too
I’m so excited to find out what’s inside the eggs
Round eggs: snapping turtle (but there’s a good chance it could be a soft shell)
Oval eggs: blandings turtle or map turtle (but I’m gonna guess map)
One egg: I’m never getting out of here
Other egg: IM FREE
The children who dug up and messed around with the poor eggs need to be taught that you should NEVER mess around and play with babies.
