Nespresso Vertuo Pop Blinking Red Light Twice and Won't Brew - Quick Fix

Something went wrong with my Nespresso Vertuo Pop today. When I pressed the brew button, it only brewed for two seconds, sounded unusual, and then stopped, flashing red twice continuously.
I tried running a cleaning or descaling mode, resetting the machine to factory settings, and rotating the spinning component; none of these worked. Finally, I cleaned out the coffee residue within the brew head and fixed this. I hope this works for you, too.
0:00 - My Nespresso Vertuo is not working
0:16 - Running a cleaning mode
0:30 - Resetting the Vertuo Pop
0:52 - Running a descaling mode
1:44 - Rotating the spinning component
1:56 - Cleaning the coffee residue
2:32 - Brewing test (It worked finally)

This happened to me when I was trying to do the cleaning process. It would start, make the same weird noises as yours, stop..and red blinking light come us.
With several wet q-tips, I cleaned all that gung off and it worked!!!!!!!! Thank you ❤❤❤❤

I had this issue and nothing worked either. I got mine working by filling the water container up with boiling water and also the pod holder to let the steam loosen the crud. I imagine this isn’t recommended but at the time I was going to bin the machine anyway. Once I got the machine to spin I descaled 5-6 times to remove the buildup.

Or did you just put it there and leave it for a while before removing it, in order to soften the buildup?
