The pod drain hose plugs with coffee grounds and dried coffee brew. The coffee backs up overflows and obstructs the pod readers. Then flashing orange light indicating reader failure. Dismantle clean drain tubes, clean reader lenses, clean internal spillage. Takes an hour or so. Putting the drive belt on is a challenge. Once cleaned, rinse cycle once or twice per month. Watch for excess coffee draining into discharge bin.
I have the same problem. Called Nespresso. The agent walked me through exactly the same steps shown in this video. I even used a toothpick to poke the water feeds. And I ran a cleaning cycle afterwards. Still not working. The agent offered me a $100 rebate for a new machine. I took it.
Unfortunately didn't fix mine. I will call the support number. Thank you for making the video thought. Sounds like it has helped a few with this issue! 👍
@@AAX333 sorry to hear. 3 things that you could repeat: 1). Use a wet paper towel and really spin the top part. 2). Clean 1 more time 3.) Reset the machine: close the head and leave it unlocked, press the button 5 times in 3 seconds (should blink orange then white). Unplug it for 1 min. Good Luck.
When you said, "Make sure it is spinning" that was my issue. I had to force it to spin and clean it up. All good.
I've been fighting with my machine for weeks...so glad I came across this vid bc it worked for me!! thank you!!
