Micheal Keaton's first movie was "Night Shift." 1882. A heartfelt comedy. Night Shift changed Henry Winkler and Ron Howard careers. Kevin Costner is also in it, but I can never pick him out. The group Quarterflash sings the title song that was written by Bert Bacharach.
The eyeliner on all the men is hilarious. 😆I wonder what that decision was all about. Griffin Dunne (son of Dominick Dunne, who wrote about true crime among the wealthy elite, and brother of Dominique Dunne, the teenage sister in Poltergeist) is in a very funny, very underrated movie called After Hours (1985), a dark comedy directed by Martin Scorsese. It all takes place in one night as this guy experiences a series of misadventures while attempting to make his way home from Manhattan's SoHo district. All-star cast.
It'd bc all the leading men in the 30s gangster movies wore eye liner. It's a bit of autheticity & a nod to those who know their old flicks. Only bc it was a parody the make-up was applied heavier to labor the point. 😉
Saw this in the theatre with my sister. We were grounded in the genre so we laughed and laughed! I noticed only one continuity issue but assuming it won’t be noticeable in this cut.
Nobody reacts to this!!! Wonderful, I loved this when it came out, so clever and funny. Keaton was brilliant!
Love Michael Keaton comedies. So much better than when he did Batman and such. This one, Night Shift and Mr. Mom are just great.
One of my favorites since I was a kid!

Another fun Michael Keaton movie is Mr Mom, that one put him on the map, at least up until he played Beetlejuice.
