Family feud has had three separate runs starting in 1976. Its original run from 1976 to 1985 aired on ABC and in syndication, with Richard Dawson as host. In 1988, the series was revived and aired on both CBS and in syndication with Ray Combs hosting until 1994, with Dawson returning until that version ended in 1995. In 1999, the series was revived through it’s first-run syndication with four different hosts: Louie Anderson (1999-2002), Richard Karn (2002-2006), John O’Hurley (2006-2010), and Steve Harvey (2010-), Celebrity Family Feud With Al Roker (2008), new Celebrity Family Feud With Steve Harvey (2015-present) The 2 original network series also had celebs, but as part of the show , not a separate stand alone show. The program has also produced multiple regional adaptations in over 50 international markets outside the United States.
That Richard Dawson that Played Al?
@@matthiascerebri3315 Richard *Karn* played Al on Home Improvement. Richard Dawson was on Hogan's Heroes.
@@pigs18 they look the same
There's a creepy YT video of Richard Dawson talking to a 12 yr old girl. Really, really creepy.
You guys should do psychic cringe fails lol those are always a good time
having seen my share of these compilations I just knew Naked Grandma had to be in this one.
4:56 You think they're both equally ignorant or did the wife know that her husband wouldn't know what a decade was and predicted what he was gonna say?
You both make a beautiful couple and I’m so happy for you both.
98.6°(37°C) is the average body temperature, hence why that answer was so specific. She clearly misunderstood the question somehow.
Millie I LOVE your hair in this video!!!
A “dick” is a slang term for detective.
Millie saying, "Lucky woman," in response to the lady saying she had 8 inches on her honeymoon, took me out 🤣🤣🤣. I totally I wasn't expecting that. Millie's the best.
It doesn't take a woman's intuition to see that his woman is into wishin'.
8 inches is pain, she ain't that Lucky.
I actually loved this comment from Millie as well lol 😅
Comment says a lot about Millie... and James. lol ;)
Pregnancy looks good on you! You are absolutely glowing!! Stunning!
my favorite game show fail is from The Newlywed Game :
Host : _"Where is the strangest place that you and your husband have `made whoopie`."_
She : _"In the butt, Bob."_
i have fun with you two!
Nice video... but pleas make the video bigger and you smaller.
Richard Dawson, a Brit, was the first host of Family Feud, in the 70s & 80s. In your free time, you should look up the whole clip of the lady that said "September" to the question, "During what month of pregnancy does a woman know she's pregnant. It takes Richard about 5 minutes to stop laughing, so he could continue to ask her more questions.
Not only that, but then he had to ask the same questions of her teammate, and he had trouble asking that question to the teammate, because the first answer made him laugh so much!
There's a creepy YT video compilation of Dawson kissing all the women on the show and a really, really creepy interaction with a 12 yr girl.
@@FEARNoMore70s/80s.
The original host of family feud was Richard Dawson. He hails from the UK. He was in a TV show called Hogan’s Heroes. He later appeared in the running man with Arnold Schwarzenegger and his character was a game show host.
After Dawson (1932-2012) came the comedian Ray Combs (1956-96), but he was fired in 1994 due to low ratings, which ultimately led to him hanging himself in a hospital closet in 1996. Dawson took the helm again after Combs' firing.
Can we all just agree that Millie looks exceptionally lovely today?
Yes! The longer hair is very nice.
Milli's looking good with her hair down like that.
ALEX TREBEK: "...prayed for snow on her wedding day"
CONTESTANT: "Yes, I did. It was 32-degrees and no snow on my wedding day, but I had 8-inches on my honeymoon"
MILLIE [cheekily]: "Good for her!"
JAMES [seemingly oblivious]: 'Do you think she meant it to be a joke?'
MILLIE [passive-aggressively]: "I don't know, but she's a lucky woman!"
Poor James, lol.
The game show host with the nipple/dimple goof is Gene Rayburn on Match Game.
The full run of episodes is on UA-cam. Very funny.
Stuff you couldn't say today 😂
To be fair, A "Group of Pill Pushers" wasn't really that bad of a guess. All the letters would fit, they are people so they fit the category, and none of the letters in that phrase were already on the board. My grandmother used to watch the Wheel of Fortune all the time so I had to watch it too if I wanted to watch TV and one time I was like 7 or 8 and they asked for a Phrase, and Vanna White turned a comma around on the board, and I guessed "Three blind mice, see how they run." and I was right. My grandmother said that if I could do that again she was booking me for the show. But of course, I wasn't a Wheel of Fortune mastermind. It was just a really lucky guess. So I never did get booked on the show.
The "P" was actually on the board at the time of the guess. (From the word "group.")
Google: "Is your husband more urban or rural?" to see/hear what is considered by many to be the most hilarious game show response of all.
I notice the infamous Family Fortunes 'turkey' episode in that. A clip of that on its own is worth reacting to.
And 'naked grandma (nekkid granmaw)' too!
Oh yeah! The other contestant's reaction was just perfect, too! Not to mention what the survey said!
This was really funny & fun to watch. Your hair/highlights look really nice 👌🏼
When they guy said shoes for something you may accidentally leave on all night, they wanted an electrical answer. Like tv or lights lol
Hi
Hello :D
You guys live in the attic?
Converted Flat with a pitch to the front building with dormer windows :D
"I manufacture pants." Millie: What does he mean though? Sigh...lol
BTW, the term "Cop" comes from the late 19th century and early 20th century, when policemen's uniforms had bright copper buttons on their jackets.
In the same Era, Police Detectives were in fact, called "Dick" as a shortening of their title.
Hence, the name of the name of the comic strip police detective being named Dick Tracy. Which was short for Detective Tracy.
This is born out by the very old joke, "Why is a men's restroom like a police station? Because it's where all the Dic__ hang out.
Didn't know that about Dick Tracy. I assumed it was his full name.
He definitely said drums lol
You can't go wrong with a good fail compilation.
Except a bunch of them weren't fails and it could do without the word fail after each clip
6:22 The dreaded "turkey" episode of Family Fortunes. "Turkey." "Uh, turkey." "Turkey." (Laughing)
Alot was Family Feud . I also saw Jeopardy and wheel of fortune
Family Feud/Family Fortunes is a testiment to how things work in America -- the show was spun off from "Match Game" (Blankety Blanks in the UK. They took the Audience Match part and made the whole game around it). Occasionally an answer would make the host wonder out loud if they were allowed to have pointy implements.
It doesnt have to be correct, logical, or even make sense. It just has to be popular.
(also, the way both your faces shifted when "a group of pill pushers" registered in your brains is some excellent stuff)
8:44 RICHARD DAWSON: Everybody... disrobe! 98.6! (Laughs) Survey said... (Buzzer) DAY-OH!
I wish you guys would do longer reactions to these game show fails so we can see the whole response of the host, contestants, and crowd. 🙏✌️
If there's compilations with all that we would happily it :D
It’s not them cutting it short, it’s the video they are watching that cut it short.
👏🏽👏🏽Goode compilation.
Steve Harvey was the 5th or 6ith hosts.
1:50. Original host Richard Dawson, a Brit, who acquired an American accent during his decades in Hollywood.
And was well known for kissing the female contestants
@@spike3082During his second run as host from 1994-95, he stopped kissing the women. He had made a promise to his daughter to stop drinking and kissing female contestants.
I highly recommend watching the Family Fued "September" video. Richard Dawson can't stop laughing for 5 minutes 😂
2:14 James, you obviously wouldn't yell at Millie if she stopped working, would you? Definitely not.
4:14 RIP Alex Trebek (July 22, 1940-November 8, 2020)
98.6 degrees is the natural internal temperature of the human body.
5:14 technically she did "get" it because she got how many decades he said his mother had lived, and it was even more impressive because of how wrong he was XD
Yes, what matters in The Newlywed Game isn't getting RIGHT answers, it's getting the SAME answers. If both husband and wife are asked, "How much is two plus two?", and both answer "Five," that's a match.
Clearly those two were meant for each other
I've noticed the clip of Gene Rayburn accidentally saying "nipples" instead of "dimples" shows up a lot in these compilations.
😂😅😅
7:15 You both might just be short in height stature.
Millie is small. James is above average height wise :D
Ok, let's be fair, "An old woman's breasts" was the perfect clue. So far from a fail.
And no, guys. You're not wierd lol. Bath time was great as a kid. Bring some toys, do some "swimming". Great times.
Do you guys live in the same house? The background looks different.
The clip from 7:53 is from the Match Game. That Game Show can be good for some laughs. It was very popular in the 70's.
If you wear flippers in the bathtub, you can swim farther.
When the host turns to the other contestant after "NAKED GRANDMA!" the guy just sort of shrugs and says, "Yeah, I wouldn't want to see that."
98.6° F is the average human homeostatic temperature.
Women from some of the reaction channels I follow are currently pregnant. lol. what are the odds
3:26
You know you've seen too many of those videos when the first answer that comes to your mind is "Naked grandma!!"
😉
A famous Arthur, well there is the fine British film and stage actor Arthur Treacher.
We had a Bath with a shower head and shower curtain and when young I use to pretend I was in a Submarine and we have been hit by depth charges. That is what happens when you watch the German Submarine Movie Das Boot back in 1981
Swimming in the bath sounds like a universal kid thing. I used to pretend to be a mermaid 😂
I could hear you guys but not the little video --- at least not well--- but thank goodness Millie had her lovely hair flowing down over her shoulders so had a nice time watching anyway
Americans do the bath thing too 😂, and I was born in 2001 so I’m the around same age so yes it’s relatable to us too 😂🙏🏼
The I spy answer was actually a top answer with 46. Dunno why it is on a fails video.
8:40 wow, i never saw family feud with an old Richard Dawson.
Yeah, he came back briefly after Ray Combs left.
Richard Dawson was 61 years old at the time, and had recently gotten married (in 1991) to a former contestant, Gretchen, who he met in the '80s. He stopped kissing the female contestants during his second run as host, because of a promise he made to his daughter. He had also stopped drinking due to the same reason.
6:07 He's not wrong, you know. Some people DO sleep with their shoes on.
That last one was not a fail. That's a legit job and brave of him to admit it, knowing the flack he'd get. Not a fail. The rest were to various points and pretty funny, but not the last guy.
Pretty sure they make great money too!
A lot of them weren't fails. The Pyramid one for things that sag was a great clue as the guy got it first guess. I remember that one and he nailed every answer and got one of the fastest times in history
11:01
"It was at this moment he knew ... he f*cked up!"
The famous Arthur one is so stupid and totally not the contestants fault. It sounds like the host is saying author because of his accent.
Willy Wonka was the first that came to my mind
😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😉
We have all been there with fails like this. Get put on the spot and the brain just goes blank and in a panic you spit out the first thing that pops into it without even thinking how stupid it may actually sound.
But fortunately most of us didn't do that on television!
@@martyklestadt6766 Very true!
Since when is eatly 20’s old lol. Im 38 and im not old
There was something different about game shows in the 70s and early 80s. Those people were wacky.
3:51, it’s called edging…
Millie 😂😂😂 Not NOW!
6:52
Millie is still excited for the American fridge.
He said Drums
Got it!
Enjoy :D
@@TheBeesleys99 One of the funniest ones was when people kept answering Wheel of Fortune with various types of horses when that wasn't the answer. Pat Sajak eventually shouted who said anything about horses! He wandered off in mock exasperation.
Richard Dawson was famously the long time host of Family Feud. The game show popularity got him to be the host of the game show in Arnold Schwarzenegger's movie, The Running Man.
Also famous for his early acting career.
The scuba diving joke went right past your heads 😂😂
Fails...whatever. Most of these questions are designed to get at least 1 person to respond a 'certain' way. Gotta increase the ratings folks!
And anyone who doesn't admit to playing swimming in the bath even as an adult is a complete liar.
9:56 NEKKID GRAMMAW!
When are you going to do part 3 of the battle of Midway?
That was fun
Dick actually was accepted as a correct answer for detective. Not sure why it was edited this way.
Yes, the slang term "private d**k" is for a detective or private investigator.
I would love to see The Beesleys on a real tv game show! Which one should it be? Hmmm...?
I think Turkey guy was trying to cheat and got order mixed up.
Yes. I heard that there was some kind of glitch when he was in the booth and he heard his teammate give "chicken" as one of the answers. So when he went up there he figured he'd use "turkey" for the same question when it applied.
It kind of applied to all of the first three questions, hence his answers. Got zero points (deservedly, if this story is accurate) for the first two.
12:08 i believe he said "drone"
No, the question was to name "the most romantic-sounding musical instrument". He said "drums".
@9:05: No, "excited" is not "something you feel before you buy it". When was the last time you went to the store to get a can of excited?
I do feel excited before i buy many things
@@Sunset553 Whoever wrote the question probably was thinking of "feel" in the literal sense, i.e., touch. I imagine thins like "produce" and "clothes" were on the board.
@@darreljones8645 Oh I understand the question. I know you had it right. I just was standing up for the player who heard the first half of the question and misunderstood
To me some of the best Family Fued fails are with Steve Harvey as the host. That stuff is absolute TV gold at times.
Steve Harvey is to me without a doubt one of the best hosts that show has had ever. The rest were good, but Steve Harvey just has something that makes that show so much better.
(edit: stupid spelling mistake due to fat fingering the keys lol)
When you two get a spare minute, you’ve got to see the whole “September” thing...Richard didn’t stop laughing for like 3 minutes and that contestant was the first of the 2 to play Fast Money. Second contestant comes out, Richard tries to read the question over and over but can’t stop laughing. Finally, he gets it read, and then on a later question, “Name a loud bird” (or something to that effect), and she says “Cuckoo”. He stops the clock again (but it keeps running all the way to 0, and the buzzer sounds and he goes, “Ahh, to hell with that!”) and once again is unable to stop laughing for a while, and at one point he quips “Where the hell do they find you people?!”. Classic moment.
ua-cam.com/video/lpSbeiPLB30/v-deo.html
Some good laughs...made my puppy dog growl at me from my laughing. Mostly very old ones from the 70's -80's I believe the guy said a romantic instrument was a drum
You really need to see the entire Family Feud "September" clip. I'm not sure there's anything funnier in the world of game show fails!
Some of these clips were definitely not fails just funny answers. I remember the episode of the 25k Pyramid. An old woman's breasts was a perfect clue for things that sag. The guy got it immediately and he actually nailed every answer and got one of the fastest times ever
"A drum" is what he said.
@11:53 he said 'Girls' to a 'What is the most Romantic Sounding Musical Instrument?' Not singing by the way - LOL
