    She's a Cutie. The 605 is one of the excellent line of Taurus revolvers. Taurus took over a Smith and Wesson factory in Brazil, and used it's same machinery.

    I've owned one for over 20 years and it is one dang good firearm and very accurate for a 3" barrel. Mine came with 3 different factory grips and it is before the safety lock behind the hammer came out. I paid a little bit over 200 brand new in the mid 90's. Smith quality but Taurus price. The only gripe I have is it's pretty much impossible to use speed loaders .

    Excellent points all around, esp. the simplicity and less recoil due to the design of the grip. The price of around $300 makes it ideal for those of us on a limited budget, like me. Heck, for that kind of money you can get two of these for the price of one Ruger or Smith and Wesson (almost). I also have many orthopedic problems that limit me to handguns for now and I have a Taurus 66 on order. Thanks for the video. I know what my next gun will be.

      Taurus makes some decent guns. I've had several over the years. But Taurus has the WORST customer service in the business. They are very rude and bend over backwards not to honor their "Lifetime" warranty. I've tried twice to use it. What a joke! And it took multiple calls over a 10 month period to get them to deliver them to me. I sold my Taurus guns because of their horrible, non- existant support to customers who need service. They are pitiful.

    If she was your average female consumer, I’d say it was .38 special from how she’s handling it, but this woman is one of the heads of taurus’ team. she can probably single hand fire .357 mag with her non dominant hand and get a 1” group.
    I can’t tell if this is for me, she’ll outshoot me all day. I guess on to a more helpful video.

    It's nice to see an attractive woman reviewing guns. And based on this video I am going to buy a 605. For the money you can't beat it. I like revolvers because they're easy to clean and simple to use. I have both in my collection but shoot the semi autos less, because I don't like cleaning them.

      Jim Beattie its been a while since you posted this so I don't know if you got one or not, but it's a nice gun. I keep mine loaded with Buffalo Bore 180gr LFN 357 rounds. It will dissappear in my pocket on my cargo pants. Not the cargo pocket, but the regular pocket is slanted so it goes in and out easily. It's nice to have those rounds in it because if you do have to defend yourself, it's nice to have that kind of power in your pocket. I'd feel sorry for anyone who gets shot with one of those especially at close range. They have to be one of the most powerful 357 rounds available on the market.

    This is a great revolver but don't get the blue'd version if its got the bead blasted finish like the stainless model. It just doesn't look good. Other than that it shoots great. It's a all around great gun for a novice or veteran and for every day carry. The purpose of this gun is to help you get away from an active shooter and as such should be considered a purely defensive weapon. Because of the limited capacity you would be crazy to rush to an active shooter situation with only 5 rounds AND a snub nose. Just sayin for all you heroes out there.
    This will fit in a purse, in the small of your back and even though it's 24 oz that extra weight is great to get followup shots on target. You'll need to change the grips to something that can
    A) handle 357 recoil so that you can discharge more than 5 rounds without leaving your shooting hand sore
    B) use a safari land comp-2(don't have the exact model) speed loader because the default thumbshelf grips get in the way.
    The only thing that I would change on this gun is to make it come with the convertible hammer like the 85. idk if you can order the convertible hammer seperately and just install it on your own.

    • @erictalkington5674
      @erictalkington5674 6 років тому

      I got the blued one and I don't care for the parkerized or bead blasted finish at all. I wish they still had the nice metallic finishes. I like the look of the blued better, but the finish comes right off. I have a huge scrap on the barrel of mine and it's white underneath the finish so it stands out like crazy. As far as the grips go, I have magna style grips (2 wood panel grips the same size as the frame) and I don't think it's bad at all. I usually shoot Buffalo Bore 180gr LFN 357 slugs which are pretty powerful and it didn't bother me at all. I realize not everyone agrees on the recoil thing but I like it kicking nice and hard. If I had it loaded with those rounds, I would have no problem trying to take out a shooter. One round of that is probably all that would be needed. They are EXTREMELY powerful. I can't say for certain but they have to be some of the most powerful 357 rounds on the market. I'd swear they're like a 357 mag +p. I know that doesn't exist, I'm just saying they kick far harder than any other 357 round I've ever shot from a store. I have a video on it if you want to check it out. I have my magna grips on it. The extra weight is nice because 38 special rounds barely kick, the 357 target rounds weren't bad at all, nor were the heavy hollow points. You could definitely tell a difference with the Buffalo Bore rounds though.

      Outdoorsman 83 I have a 617 and I love it. It's nice and heavy too so the 358 rounds don't kick that bad at all. I have a blued one. It's older so it has the metallic finish. I love that gun, but I'll say now if you do get one, watch my video on mine because the frame is weird shaped. It's a compact frame and it's hard to find grips for it. Hogue makes a couple, but I can't stand Hogue grips personally, but there are a few out there. It took me a couple months to find my set of wooden ones.

      Dallas Cowboys don't quote me on this, but I am almost positive it cannot be. They make older ones, blued and stainless that have a great metallic finish on them. You can find them on Guns International quite frequently for pretty cheap. I have one of the blued ones and the finish comes off pretty easily. I want to get an older one with the nice finish to match my Model 617.

    Ok............ a couple of things these " experienced shooters " should know. First, unless she only loaded 4 rounds there was a live one in the chamber when at 2:57 she lowered the weapon and pointed it right at the guys nut sack. Last... I guess it falls back on the " experienced shooter " who shouldn't have come slightly in front of her while she was holding the weapon sideways and she sure as hell shouldn't have turned the weapon toward him as they had their little BS session. And that's under any circumstances.... Kids... don't follow this example. Guns are always treated as if they are loaded and shouldn't be pointed at anything except the target.... I can't believe they didn't catch that before it was posted..
