Tampa bay lucked out having the hurricane hit south of them instead of dead center or north. The cyclone wind was pushing from the land into the bay instead of the other way around, lowering the water in Tampa Bay instead of driving it into land.
The one silver lining is Hurricane Milton only passed over Florida west to east, instead of going up the east coast into other states already hit by Hurricane Helene.
If America had a decent education system and YOU bothered to listen to and learn from BOTH SIDES of the debate, you would realise that America's problems have been building for 50 YEARS. Instead, you parrot the talking points of a party that only wants your vote so it can enrich itself at your expense. And pretend that EVERYTHING has only gone wrong in just four years.
