Good evening my friend! Thanks for sharing some of your gear! I’m a huge fan of chest rigs too. They truly are “mission specific” in my opinion, so having more than one is a good thing. Again, thanks for the video, and my best to you and your family!
Hmmmm. Integration with belt and suspender kit is a primary item for me. The micros would work but I also have considered using a surplus TAP and the carrier integration kit to mount it to my suspenders. So Im not covered in layers of straps.
Very nice brother! I've got an OPS Chest Rig for more light/ low-pro applications, 4 mag pouches plus 2 pistol/ flashlight/ TQ pouches, 2 large hydration or admin/ kit pouches, 2 inner mag or admin pouches, and a backing pouch for other cargo and admin.
Great video It really comes down what works for that person and what they are trying to do or for there sop I still use my y harness I had in the army I do have a small cheat rig I use in conjunction with my y harness for map and radio and light basically I just want people to look at what works best for them and ther situation and area its videos like this sharing ideas and suggestions that makes us all better minutemen again great video brother
Outstanding, I glad I came across your video. I was thinking of purchasing Spiritus Systems micro rig. Total cost came out to $230.00 verse about $130.00 0n a Gomee micror rig. Which looks closely like Spiritus. Again Thank you and thumbs up / Subscribed.
I am done with chest rigs, they just move around to much for my taste. I keep a condor rig in my rover just as a spare. I use an Emerson LVAC carrier without plates. I keep the front very slick except for a 3 mag pouch with covers. I can get very low in the dirt and not knock the wind outta me when I need to drop fast.
If you search "minuteman" you will see the term spikes in videos during times of Constitutional Stress. So it comes and goes in waves. Chicom chest rig is tops. I've used it for 10 years and love it. It is also quieter than synthetic chest rigs. Nylon rubs on nylon and makes a lot of noise. I love the Rhodesian rig. I didn't know they could be had (reproductions) for $35
Makes sense for the term "Minuteman" popping up more and more. I have a couple Chicom rigs set up in pass out kits if they're ever needed. For $35 those reproduction Rhodie rigs are really nice. Plus, as with the chicom ones, they are mod friendly so you can customize them a bit.
SMERSH ftw SMERSH combined with a chicom type 81? (4 cell chest rig) I carry 12+1 25rnd 308 mags for the AR10 The chicom rigs are still relatively cheap.
I think a lot of people are mis-labeling the Minuteman Loadout to use it as an excuse to not carry enough ammo. Like you’re gonna jog on foot to the fight in a neighboring town. Come on, guys. Think about your logistics chain.
I think chest rigs, as shown in the video, are a great way to carry additional mags to supplement an existing belt kit or LBE like a Smersh Rig. But the micro chest rigs also work in a Get Home Bag set up where you need a discreet way of carrying a few mags besides having one or two in your pant pockets. If your evading or breaking contact it might be all you got. Hopefully that is enough in those situations. I get what you are saying though, not everything is a "Minuteman" loadout....
Just a suggestion and an observation I noticed that you wear glasses are these a necessity for all day use or just for reading. You may want to think of perhaps having back up glasses for your outings.
I'm a bigger man, 6'4 270, and I get to run my gear a fair amount. These micro rigs just don't do it for me. For one they look silly on a larger frames 😂. 2nd I've noticed they just don't hold enough for anything when it comes to the minute man concept. Far better to get a LBV type of chest rig and add to that rather than buying a lot of neash micro rigs.
Thanks for the shoutout brother.
Absolutely! Gotta keep supporting one another!
Great video Jay and I keep two Hill People Gear chest rigs in my kit. Love the Minute Man philosophy ... Stay Frosty ... 👍🏻🇺🇸💪🏻
Thank brother! I really think that the HPG kits or versions of them are really a great addition to a person's Minuteman kit. Super versatile to use.

I've got the tap and love it for the same reason, less straps. And you can still attach it it to a plate carrier.
Integration definitely plays a big role in what will work for people. The TAP rig is definitely a solid choice for folks!
Dont forget the TAP. A great piece of American kit that is quite versatile. I got mine for less than twenty bucks new.
@Emmanuel Goldstein it stands for tactical assault panel. You can search it on you tube. There are some good videos. Hope that helps.

I almost picked one of those up a few years ago. I had been looking at that and the TT MAV but just never pulled the trigger on one.
@@themodernminuteman2557 Both are great among many others, I really dig what you did with the modification to the SADF one too brother very nice!!!!
@@DJTheMetalheadMercenary Thanks man!
@@themodernminuteman2557 Yeah dude!
I'll muster for support.
Cool vid very informative and thanks for sharing!
The last Huntsmen UA-cam channel does a Minutemen 101 series. Small channel but ex military guy and knows what he’s talking bout.

Watched prepared wanderer's video yesterday and I guess the algorithm showed me you channel today. Nice kit.
Thanks!

Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and got something out of it!

Great to hear! Grow the tribe. Now or after "things get weirder."
Great review! Thank you!
Appreciate that! Thanks!

Great video man, look for a shout out later today…I welded together a new stand for my kit kind of like the one you made out of wood
Hi Jay, good content - thanks. Is your Hill People chest rig a Medium?
I think a lot of people are mis-labeling the Minuteman Loadout to use it as an excuse to not carry enough ammo.

How is the Krydex holding up? I ordered one on prime day and I’m really happy with it but want to know it’s gonna hold up to a little bit of abuse.
I've been very happy with it. No complaints.
What female buckles to attach Krydex to Pc
