Nothing comes close to what rallizes does for me. It's like eating $100 dollars worth of mushrooms and falling in love with the world all over again through that dark hypnotic bass and sinister feedback. love.
i feel the same way, the feeling of those four words is hard to describe. to me the title and song evokes despondency. i also like “but i was different” the best, ive seen other places title it “but im different” but it doesnt feel the same to me
I read somewhere that one of his former band members had called him at the year of his death telling him that LDR is now famous enough in the US for a concert to be made there. I'd like to believe he died knowing that he didn't become famous at his time, because he was 50 years ahead of his time. Truly, he was different.
This is like early slowcore and dream pop too, it could have been a Galaxie 500 song, they were probably the first band to take influence from the Velvet Underground
had no idea could just send chills down your entire body like this. i thought i had found perfection, but thankfully i stumbled upon this. i think this has changed my life.
I'd just give him Cable Hogue Soundtrack (the bootleg album this comes from, I think it's the 6th track), if you can find where to buy it from. Or you could torrent it ;) rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5008697
It would be an amazing miracle if some more live, cohesive footage locked up of them together came out. Whatever we can find of Mizutani and co is precious and much be protected.
This song is what I imagine heroine feels like. I cry every time I listen to this but I can't stop listening. Euphoric and blissful but so melancholy and dark. Ive never heard a song encapsulate the feeling of falling in love and heartbreak at the same time.
@@llfllamas He doesn’t glorify it and he’s somewhat right it’s a feeling that you can find with it also heroin by the velvet underground was probably an inspiration for this song

Try Suishou no Fune. I won't compare them to rallizes but I recommend checking them, especially anything off their short 'your tears' EP. (水晶の舟 - おまえの涙)
I have the Cable Hogue Soundtrack LP, which features this song in this version. Bought my copy from Amazon a few years ago for €40, easily worth the money for this song alone.

It was announced today that Mizutani died in 2019. Here's to him and all the great music he created. Rest In Peace legend.

Spotify doesn’t deserve music this good.

They were so ahead of their time. It’s like they predicted grunge and shoe gaze but still were grounded in 60s folk and psychedelia.
