Thank You Richard! Means alot! It was such a relief when it started! I think where I didnt touch the van for a few weeks it made it that little bit more anxious when I finally came to starting her up! Thanks again for the support 👊🏼
@@SalvageDiaries I know what you mean I have got the wifes r53 cooper stripped for timing chain and crank rear oil seal its all over the garage lol will it ever run again
Anytime u take a turbo off , to be reconditioned or replaced . Always prime the turbo first . Use fresh good oil and filter . Put everythink back together , unplug each injector and take fuel pump fuse out . Then turn the engine over for a least 30 seconds . The engine wont start , then plug injectors back in and put fuel pump fuse back in and clear any codes triggered and then start the engine up and let it tick over . First few miles drive slow and that way turbo will be primed with oil .
Glad that you’re sharing your experience. Found you just few days ago but really like the content. Easy to watch those short videos even to stay focus for half hour. Hope you gonna get the profit from this one little runner. ✌️ Random question: Did you learn somewhere to be a mechanic or something like that or just trying do everything by yourself?
Thanks for your message mate really appriciate the support. I just taught myself as I went along years ago. Blew an engine up and put a new one in and it went from there. Never looked back!
Thanks for your reply. I’m kinda young man who is interested in salvage cars or other type of them which ones need to be rebuilded or fixed. Dreaming about it really long time. Searching on youtube guys like you who are doing it with satisfaction and trying to take as much as i can from experience all of you sharing. But there is a slight problem because I’ve never done something similar before. Thats why I asked you how you get started. Thank you one more time for your time to answer.
No worries mate, I'd recommend buying something cheap that needs a little bit of work something that needs the brakes changing etc and experiment with that taking things apart and putting them back together keep doing that until your comfortable taking on something bigger. Theres plenty of salvage cars to be fixed mate! Practice makes perfect 👌🏼
Yeah I was thinking about the cars which needs new body parts or something as you’ve said before. Thank you for your advises. Really appreciate that! I hope you’ll get success on this youtube channel and all the cars you making for fun and obviously for profit! Keep going! Stay safe!
