Wealth doesnt mainly come from labor it comes mainly from thought, yes it takes labor to bring that thought into reality, but that is why there's a heirarchy in any business. Obviously it comes from thought first, hence why engineers are paid more than box packers, managers are paid more than engineers, and executives more than managers. Obviously.

I see a lot more incredibly SAD lives of the poor without shelter, without health care, without safety, being picked on and bullied by families, relatives, friends, and all the people around them for being poor. Poverty is definitely worst.
I get angered everytime my dad immediately assumes that poor people & poor neighborhoods are evil. It's like the more fortunate people don't even get past the point of scratching the surface in terms of getting to know what people in poverty are going through. They also keep saying that poor people are lazy, drugged, & mentally ill, even though many of them may either have lost everything, have been dealt a terrible hand, or have been working hard for years, only to be payed a nickel. Near where I live, I saw a homeless person who was willing to remove the weeds from nearby curbs to receive the money needed to survive. It may even make sense to say that the reason why some homeless people are junkies is because they have become so miserable from their horrific living standards that they give up on reality altogether. If the poor aren't given the help they need, they'll have a chance of sinking deeper & deeper towards death.

I think the reason it hurts so much to lose money as a billionaire is that their whole persona/identity centers around being rich. Take their money and they feel like they have nothing else. Their material possessions are so vast and high maintenance they need constant cashflow to keep them. This is literally the definition of “if you own too much stuff, your stuff will start to own you.” The true measure of success is not how much you have but how much you can live without. The saying that there is no such thins as an ethical billionaire really hit me once I realized that power attracts the most corruptible. Or power corrupts. I think that there are plenty of sayings surrounding how only the most twisted amongst us would do anything for this type of power. Obviously, some money probably buys some level of happiness, realistically. If you have $0 in your account, good luck with food, shelter, and paying for healthcare, etc. However, I think that Jake truly hits this one strongly in pointing out that *billionaires* more often than not are nut whacks seeking to hoard cash.
If I were rich I would definitely try to be unknown because everyone knowing your rich or famous leads to your being unhappy and not knowing who actually likes you. A lot of reasons being famous suck like privacy.
That's what I was thinking. To get extremely extremely rich you have to be unethical. You have to monopolize things, take advantage of people, government etc.
My father was a multimillionaire who owned his own practice. The good thing I can say about him is that he was always excpetionally generous, paying for other family's meals at buffets, helping his staff with education funds for their kids, and giving/"employing" various members of our church frequently with jobs he knew they needed. His mental illness though was sexaddiction, and it truly brought more pain into his life than he ever would have had otherwise.
That's really sad ..... Was he ever married to your mom ? And if so did she ever leave due to that addiction? How did the addiction ruin his life as well ?
this entire video is missing the point. aside from the hustle culture group, productivity and jake's fans, most of us normies just want enough money to not worry about paying rent and enjoy our lives. We're not looking to be rich, so to say the billionaire are just as unhappy as we are is insane. these guys have enough to literally lobby against everyone best interests. they have the power and connections to control medias and law decision-making. we are not the same
One thing financial advisors no longer teach is that before wanting more wealth, be happy with what you have and where you are now!! Watching this makes you realize why!!!
Because Satan the devil is the ruler of this earth and he gives absolutely nothing without asking for a cost from you as the wicked one deceiving the whole inhabited earth!
Jesus was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver from Judas Iscariot Satan asked Jesus to worship him and then after that he would give him all the riches and their glory of the world and Jesus was a perfect man so if he can do that with Jesus a perfect man then what makes you honestly think he won't try it with us all of which are imperfect. Bibles says that the love of money is the root of all evil and that you cannot serve 2 masters you will end loving one and hating the other! And that those reaching out for riches stab themselves with many pains!
When you don't have morals, money's just a prison. They'd be far less depressed and probably even happy if they used their money to actually do some good. But they won't, they just want more for themselves, no matter the cost. Money's a good servant but a terrible master.
Accruing wealth beyond a certain level has diminishing returns regarding happiness and attracts disproportionately more problems. Also how you made your wealth unethical/criminal vs. ethical/honest vs. inheritance is a huge factor on happiness. There are only a few billionaires. Most of the wealthy are in the $10-100M net worth range, non public facing, living in upper middle class areas.

My father made a huge amount of money unexpectedly a few years ago. He invested most of it on land and trees. We don't spend much and the money comes in steadily. I won't have to work a single day in my life out of sheer dumb luck.
You don’t understand. The high paying jobs that are experiencing shortages should be done by other people. Not me. And they should be taxed and given to me.
Best UA-cam video I've ever seen. I love it when someone tells the other side of the truth about money and wealth. The side that most people don't want to hear.
Getting to this level is not an accident. Nor is staying there. True high performance people are different and very rare. "What's next?" is always on their mind.
Nobody really aspires to ve a billionaire right off the bat. Regular people want to be rich enough to live life and no slave all day at a job they hate for money that isn't enough to live on.
they spend their lives trusting no one. And they always have to keep an eye on their money. Vigilantly and do not focus on what matters. Only because I knew a millionaire.
Dear Jake, I find this video brilliant! Another UA-camr was trashing you while I find you simply brilliant. I watched this video several times and still watching it again. It's more than inspirational! From the bottom of my heart: thank you both guys!
The child labourers would be even more sad if they didn’t get the money to feed themselves. Yes child labour is wrong but taking it away is far worse for them🤷🏿♂️. I’m African & I’d rather they legalise it and regulate labour costs and hours because simply ending it doesn’t help those child labourers in any way whatsoever.
Exactly. Americans are disgusting. I’ve heard many live alone in their own apartment. Here we have 3 generations living under one roof. Americans complain they can’t afford their car payments but only 5% of people in my entire town own a car. Those 5% are greedy and are never happy with life
Is middle class happy? Definitely No. No human is happy in this world. Material wealth is not proportionate to happiness. Happiness comes from being content and grateful
They're depressed because the same rule applies for everyone. With great power comes great responsibility, that includes new taxes, new found rules, and having to worry about back stabbers. Being rich having been poor you will see, meet, and hear about familiy members you've never heard of lol. In this game, you have to create new relationships with others with the same reputation in order to keep the lifestyle.
A person basically telling you that all billionaires are miserable and most are corrupt then pushing you to their top of the funnel sales "free lecture" and telling you that tutoring is one way to get "ethical millions" is it just me or it sounds fishy?? I'm not 100% he's ever worked with a single billionaire in his life, beside Dan Peña of course 🤣
You only need what you need, after that, it just complicates things. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had a planet that lived in that awareness. We would be free to actually live life.
Selfishness decreases empathy, decreased empathy makes you miserable. To focus only on self at the exclusion of others is a fast track to misery and depression. Those who focus on others experience increased empathy, which in turn makes them happier as they have less time to think about themselves. Empathy and happiness is a correlation, not a coincidence.

Or a cope poor lazy people tell themselves so they won't have to take accountability and work at becoming wealty.
Sounds more like an addiction. They are constantly chasing money just like a junkie is constantly chasing the dragon. They are seeking the high they once got from making the money, yet the high is never the same. And that intense fear of running out sounds just like an addict.
Its on all levels dude, but i do agree with how power corrupts people.
There are a few examples of ethical billionaires, people who made their wealth just by making a product that people really liked, liked Notch.
Nut whacks 😂 Is that original? I love that.
If I were rich I would definitely try to be unknown because everyone knowing your rich or famous leads to your being unhappy and not knowing who actually likes you.
A lot of reasons being famous suck like privacy.
Same. Also people would constantly try to sue you for that money.
His mental illness though was sexaddiction, and it truly brought more pain into his life than he ever would have had otherwise.
did he at least fuck hot ones?
That's really sad .....
Was he ever married to your mom ? And if so did she ever leave due to that addiction? How did the addiction ruin his life as well ?
he liked little boyz like Biden eh?
All healthy men are "sex addicts". He didn't make his life difficult, its the hypocritical prudes who made his life miserable
feel so sad for all these billionaires, stay strong out there
😅😂😂
this entire video is missing the point. aside from the hustle culture group, productivity and jake's fans, most of us normies just want enough money to not worry about paying rent and enjoy our lives. We're not looking to be rich, so to say the billionaire are just as unhappy as we are is insane. these guys have enough to literally lobby against everyone best interests. they have the power and connections to control medias and law decision-making. we are not the same
lol
Lolz
You must be poor as hell and depressed
One thing financial advisors no longer teach is that before wanting more wealth, be happy with what you have and where you are now!! Watching this makes you realize why!!!
"Nobody gets to a billion clean" - Wags.
All things that Satan offers and gives to you in this wicked world of evil comes with a ultimate cost maybe not now but later on it will cost you.

As a person becomes corrupted from power & wealth, eventually the corruption starts to consume that person from the inside, leading to a downward spiral as that person is tortured from the fact that he or she doesn't have enough responsibility to even keep his or her own power in check. As they say, "With great power comes great responsibility."
I have no sympathy for those who have sacrificed their humanity for financial superiority. Maybe it’s a sign that we were not meant to be this way.
Yep. Not to mention the paranoia you'd have by defending your financial position from others who are even more cutthroat

I think they would find great joy. In making other people happy. With how much freedom they have. By helping people, setting up events. Putting more money into creativity.
Honestly this could be true.
For example in GTA V when you use a native trainer to get as much money as you want and now buy everything you want in the game... it becomes less fun and more boring and not as nice as you actually working and spending and having to do the work... Get it?
I think that's the most practical way I can think of with this subject Jake is talking about
True. But at the same time there are so many risky things you could do. Like for example speaking truth like Jesus Christ did. But that didn't turn out well. He was killed for it

That is so true...very good.
The true definition of wealth is having everything you need, everything you want, and being happy.
Who gets to define this?!
People can't achieve perpetual happiness though, even if they have everything like billionaires
@@scholaroftheworldalternatehist Yep.

Growing up poor really messes with people's minds. I grew up somewhere in the middle and money has never been a worry for me even when i haven't had much. Glass half full rather than glass half empty mindset.
The people who’d rather be a “sad billionaire than just sad” simply do not get it🤦🏾♀️. Smh. It’s like they didn’t watch the video at all. They also seem to think money is EVERYTHING which is just sad in and of itself. I feel sorry for THAT mental illness. They also seem to have an extremely juvenile concept of what this life is-but you have to have a SOUL to even understand.
Thank god someone understands. Allah gave us purpose and so many people throw it away
They are empty inside which is why they do what they do.
My father made a huge amount of money unexpectedly a few years ago. He invested most of it on land and trees. We don't spend much and the money comes in steadily. I won't have to work a single day in my life out of sheer dumb luck.
The comment thread: “it’s their fault I’m poor. Nothing I have done could’ve changed my circumstances”😂😂😂
You don’t understand. The high paying jobs that are experiencing shortages should be done by other people. Not me. And they should be taxed and given to me.
Best UA-cam video I've ever seen. I love it when someone tells the other side of the truth about money and wealth. The side that most people don't want to hear.
He's got all these money and he can't afford a chef and a personal trainer!
Getting to this level is not an accident. Nor is staying there. True high performance people are different and very rare. "What's next?" is always on their mind.
That thumbnail is a banger 😂
Nobody really aspires to ve a billionaire right off the bat.
Regular people want to be rich enough to live life and no slave all day at a job they hate for money that isn't enough to live on.
they spend their lives trusting no one. And they always have to keep an eye on their money. Vigilantly and do not focus on what matters. Only because I knew a millionaire.
Dear Jake, I find this video brilliant! Another UA-camr was trashing you while I find you simply brilliant. I watched this video several times and still watching it again. It's more than inspirational! From the bottom of my heart: thank you both guys!
I bet the childlabourors they use are even more sad....
It’s MUCH more preferable to be modestly well off with a job you enjoy and no debt than to be a billionaire running a major corporation.
I'd still choose to be a sad/depressed billionaire over sad and broke anyday
Another thought provoking video Jake.
God damn i wish i was rich and depressed.
Now im just depressed.
Guys the isn't About being wealthy its about having limits to your greed
Exactly. Americans are disgusting. I’ve heard many live alone in their own apartment.
Here we have 3 generations living under one roof.
Americans complain they can’t afford their car payments but only 5% of people in my entire town own a car. Those 5% are greedy and are never happy with life
You can either be a smart fella, or a fart smella - Albert Einstein
To be a billionaire you must make other people suffer for profits
Agreed. If someone sold a $1 pill that cured cancer to everyone on earth he would have $8billion at the expense of people who purchased the pill
Is middle class happy? Definitely No.
No human is happy in this world. Material wealth is not proportionate to happiness.
Happiness comes from being content and grateful
and rich people are usually never content with what they have they just want more and more and more
Middle class struggle with bills is not a good thing to be Feeel about
They're depressed because the same rule applies for everyone.
I guess everybody can be depressed, even after you've earned enough money to buy your way out of everything
Here's the world's smallest violin playing just for the billionaires:
I rather be their form of miserable than my form of lonely miserable.
This is why the end up turning into occult psychopaths
Totally agree with him 💯 That should be the goal... To do it in an ethical way. 💚
I'm reminded of the saying: "True Wealth is Not Having Everything You Want, But Wanting Everything You Have."
They should give me some money so I can really relate and understand their plight
Funny they're depressed instead of ashamed
Thank God I’m not a billionaire!
lol this funny ngl
Brilliant !! One of the best interviews
He's not a billionaire 💰
Yea I’m sure they’re just all tore up getting to do what they want, when they want in life 😂😂
You only need what you need, after that, it just complicates things.
Wealth buys time to spend with your friends and family, everything else is extra.
This is one of your best videos. Most millionaires and billionaires literally envy the freedom and normalcy we take for granted.

There is no such thing as an ethical Billionaire
Living under the Sword of Damocles
Mental health is underrated
So basically, billionaires have a serious hoarding disorder.
A lot of high net worth individuals are simply criminal, or at the very least bullies. Its not a great way to gain happiness.
Never believe anything you read on the internet - Abraham Lincoln
My wife takes care of the mother of a high profile CEO in his home. I can’t say who, but the home alone is 7 million. I can tell you, I would not change lives with that man, no way. He is stressed and very unhappy making his family also stressed and unhappy, despite having all the money one could ever want.
I sense a plot to discourage some not to try to become billionaires.
Once again, very insightful and inspirational video. Thank You Jake
most people dream of being billionaires. they ARE billionaires. - so where does their fancy take refuge ?
I just want my 9 to 5 job to pay me like 900 million an hour.
It would be wonderful if only 1% percent of the world was in poverty starving, because they would get help right away.
I'd take their depressions, if I could get their money (note: I am already depressed myself, because a life working for the enrichment of some other asshole is about as appealing as steppin on a rusty Nail! Seriously, that we allowed corporations to "enslave" (wage-slavery) us like this is depressing!)...at least I'd be FREE from being forced to work and could afford whatever I want!
When you are sad and rich, you have 1 problem to solve. When you are sad and poor, you have "at least" 2 problems to solve. Being poor alone already brings you a lot of problems beside being sad.
Awhh that sucks for them.
Living a false life is expensive for a human. There is no insurance policy for moral poverty.
