@@xl000 my bar is low? Lol, the sound of sonic collecting rings is annoying as hell. But one sound effect from the sonic series that i do find very satisfying are the four way cannons in sonic generations. Pure auditory satisfaction
The freaking SOUND DESIGN! This game has such iconic sounds. Borne out of the creative limitations of 80's digital audio technology. And now it is timeless.
The sound is fantastic! Bold and memorable. But I don't think games had "sound designers" so much as "there was a single programmer who made something that seemed cool to them". :D
I can remember the feeling the first time I cleared the board without dying. I'm not going to divulge how many quarters it took to get that achievement, but suffice to say that it was more than I should have spent. I wasted a lot of money at the arcades back in the 80's. Thank god my parents bought us an Atari 2600. I could play PacMan all I wanted without spending a dime.
Fun fact: the Pac-Man theme song was later used in SNES Super Mario World where in that game you come across the P-Switch button that makes coins appear and plays the Pac-Man theme

No compramos Computadoras o Tabletas o Teléfonos Celulares pues esas cosas aun no existían… BUENAS NOCHES.
