He was a very good especially when hybrids got another set and so it got him out faster especially with the tamer sora and Joe you gained more memory with anything that had no digi sources. And everytime you attacked with a blue digimon you trash more sources. I would always mix hexeblau with azulongmon. Miss that deck so much xD
The funny thing about comparing the Digimon card game to Magic the Gathering is Duel Masters. Since Duel Masters was basically the way to bring MTG to Japan, and it's the one to originate the Security System of life points. Where they can double as a comeback mechanic
29:14 For me, I think the memory system in Digimon is a great mechanic. It adds a whole extra strategic dimension to the game as the amount of memory you leave your opponent with can decide whether you win or lose. The number of times "if I just had 1 more memory..." or "you gave me just enough memory to..." comes up shows just how vital it is to the game's whole strategy. Again, an amazing mechanic.
I've been a fan of the show since I was a kid, and was vaguely aware that a Digimon card game existed, but to actually see it being discussed and how *interesting* it is...I'm debating a new hobby.
The memory system in Digimon is one of the main reasons why I started playing. Instead of waiting 10 minutes (at the beginning of a duel) for my opponent to finish their wombo combo (cough yugioh), it’ll be my turn in a matter of seconds. Opponent hatches egg, digivolves or not. Hard plays something. Bam! Its my turn now. Its such a fair back and forth mechanic. Gotta spend ur memory wisely. The memory gauge and the draw 1 per digivolve is just genius.

Love watching videos like these, especially when I learn things about the game I didn't realise - I adore my Hexeblaumon deck, it has so much source stripping it's easy to turn the effect on 😅 Would love to see something similar with a Magic player, because of some of their similarities. Like, unlike Yugioh it actually has a resource system - which , whilst not here, I feel like trips up a lot of Yugioh players looking at other games, because they could see a card like Giga Death and more easily miss the associated costs. But also, the colours in Digimon have a lot of overlap with the colours in Magic. I've been able to explain a lot of the game by comparing colours.
I've had no exposure to this game before, but it seems to me like a reboot of Duel Masters, and I've been dying for one! Definitely going to look into it!
