This game is crazy good, Joey. The only thing holding this game back is Bandai. The actual core mechanics and card design are a top 3 candidate for card games imo
@@pedrorivera9640 Easier than Bakugan, Pokémon, YGO, and MTG? Yes, but "extremely easy" is misleading. If you are not familiar with TCGs, you'll still going to experience a steep learning curve.
@@slizzardshroomer9666you could say that about literally anything that requires any amount of skill. Joey is gonna be very pleased to hear that BlackWarGreymon is gonna be really good in BT11 meta. IIRC in a past Showdown live or something with the Digimon OM, he said that was his favorite Digi.
Tasty my man, you gotta start getting these guys to play some matches afterwards where you play some decks from the older formats and then guess how well it stands up in the future. Have the both of you play some cool and exciting shit like Diaboromon, Ceresmon, Red Hybrids, etc in their older forms.
Really wanna see how Vanguard players would react to them. Since Vanguard was my first card game, it’ll be fun to see people like Solemn Vanguard on bere
I don't actively play the TCG but I am a big digimon fan. It made me so happy when I saw Dexmon was so stupidly powerful since he's my favorite digimon. I even went and nabbed a X-record box since while dexmon is my favorite mon, the doru line is my favorite line. I also hope we get a proper sim, or a good fan one (think ygopro/duel book for ygo) since I do want to try out the tcg, but all my friends who play are states away.
A year late so you may already know, the guys at Hoang Zero developed a fan run online sim with automatic card resolution. So more like Pokémon’s PTCGL as opposed to fully manual Table Top Sim
This was so much fun to watch as this guest was genuinely interested and considering joining. Heck even I wanna get in on the collection and fun of playing others too.
16:20 Funny thing about "Alphamon: Ouryuken": a player did the memory gain return and then attacked again, straight into a "Gran Del Sol"🤣. I won that game.
I think they should get a bit more context before they answer. Like, he was judging Sora based on the security effect without knowing 100% of Tamers in this game have the same security effect, or judging megas by play cost without being told you basically never hard play a mega except very specific exceptions. They should be able to judge a card in the context of similar cards (like maybe tell him most tamers cost between 2 and 4 so he knows Sora's cost is not low, etc).
I feel like starmons Is more mid than good. Anyways, been knowing Pokeaim for a lot and it's so cool seeing him Reading these Digimon cards that I love so much!
There's a great tutorial on youtube for how to play from Tolarian College! I really recommend it to get started. After that you can play on Tabletop Simulator mod on steam or untap! There's also a discord for webcam games that's very active.
U mentioned table top simulator. I’ve heard of it b4 and I’m wondering if it is available on mobile or if there is a mobile version like a modified app or website variant? I only have a android phone and a very old iPad. I’ve been slowly 1 bit at a time coming up with my own TCG that if developed and managed well cud be more of a fav of mine than yugioh is. Between this vid and ur other vid of a yugioh player reviewing digimon cards I have discovered new ways to design a TCG and I’m getting a more well rounded view on wat I want to end up with. I’m probably more than halfway to implementing a version of it to use as testing and such so it cud be refined and all that good stuff.
i think you should have explained the memory cost of digimons a bit more to give him more info like: - most decks focus on the digivolution-costs so the hard-play-costs dont matter that much - and having a lvl5 to digivolve on top isnt that big of a deal - because most decks try to climb up top mega-lvl / lvl6 (or even 7) and its possible to go in 1 turn to lvl5 or even lvl6 so having the lvl5 on board isnt that big of a condition
The picture at the beginning? It was a pic from an old tutorial video Bandai made. The table top sim is called V2 Automated Digimon card game or something like that.

It was a really fun time glad you liked the game!

Because I don't have $100 to spend on one card.😢
Meanwhile, Yugioh players trying to buy one of three Bonfires...

Digimon die when they lose all their ATK?
Or is that just an effect thing?
Its a standard game rule. If a Digimon hits 0 DP, they get deleted and go to the trash. Effects such as Wyverns Breath can lower a Digimons DP.
