Hiya Folks! Sorry this one took too long. This covers the majority of the music used in the background of the 8.2 content videos. Spent the last 2 weeks or so digging around for the proper artwork to go with the music to no avail. Until a friend sent me this beauty of artwork. Please check out the links for the artists’ page along with their video detailing the process they went through in making it. Rather underrated I’d say.

Still originally thought this music was going to be used in the Azshara ending cinematic, but I guess a lot of things came out different in that one heh! Shame this soundtrack didn’t get a lot of use in the patch in-game. Take care for now!
:D
Thank you so much for this ! Just found this after months without my laptop!
Thank you for everything you do
The tragedy of the HIghborne is so real in this music....so many suffered because of Azshara's selfishness, she sacrificed everything to her greed for power.
But she also bargained with nothing and saved those loyal to her, and plotted to over throw the very god that answered her.
Listening to this really wants me to see an expansion where I can go back in time and walk around and observe the ancient Kaldorei Empire.
Because if we can go back to Draenor again in a different timeline, why not to an alternative Azeroth where the Kaldorei Empire is still alive and remains in its prime.
I hope Blizzard sees your comment
How melancholic
Go to suramar
@@elementalistrrrr4549 suramar is one city. The kaldorei empire spanned an entire continent
Don't give nu-Blizzard any ideas they'll just fuck it up somehow.
So many emotions and expressions ringing through this: sorrow, tragedy, heroism and even a sense of hope through the pain. So beautiful...
This is so beautiful. The music department really did a phoenomenal job of assuring that it gives the feeling of bringing the listener back to a faraway age of Azeroth's history, a time when the Kaldorei empire stretched from shore to shore of Kalimdor. A glory the kaldorei or all elvenkind will likely never know again.
And the sense of sorrow it brings. All because of Azshara's evil ambitions.
All hail the Light Beneath the Tides, Flower of Life, Her Radiance, Empress of Nazjatar!
Bow down to our light of light
Don't make me cry 😢 😭 😭 ma queen is gone we're left alone
@@vergil1444 Don't worry our Queen will return to us one day!
I will miss you, my empress.
aref mlg shes not gone. She has her own adventure to make. We will see her again don’t worry 😉
This music makes me cry because it makes me remember how and what World Of Warcraft used to be. Rest in piece legend
Props to the blizzard music teams as always. Fantastic work!
The music is magic. Again. There is no other franchise where the art teams are so incredibly inspired like in Warcraft. The actors too. They keep on delivering year after year countless hours of music, imagery, stories, characters. Don't forget though, Azshara is no fallen angel - she had always been a selfish tyrant who kept on selling her people again and again to fuel ambitions.
Should have played baldures gate 😆
It is magical. Expansion by Expansion the music is just on unfuckinbelievable level.
It's just a shame the company that produces it are evil sociopaths...
Music level Journey ^^
@@AidanMclaren Evil sociopaths? Ok.....
@@tzoanast1061 We're talking about a company that put loot boxes in a pay to access game, lest we forget...
@@AidanMclaren Yeah.....and they are the least harmful and easiest to get lootboxes out there that have no impact at all on game balance. I am not in favor of lootboxes at all BUT you can't say a company is run by sociopaths because they put in lootboxes in a game especially when those lootboxes have no impact to the balance if the game, their drops are fair and you can earn them like candy.
I stopped playing BFA in February... and I had been warned. And here I was with my demon hunter boy... hearing this for the first time. I sat there for nearly an hour and cried. Thank you Athelarius. :> Because I obviously needed to cry more. ;)
Really glad this didn't kill her off tbh
Hoping she plays some role in the night elf story going forward!
Listened to 4 seconds and started crying even tho I had already listened it in Nazjatar.
Honestly, I was quite shocked when Russell Bower left Blizzard. I was a bit hesitant on how the music would go in the future with him no longer there. But I am truly captivated so far with all the music they have been putting out. This was a great piece.. I hope they add more vocal choir into the future pieces. Nightsong and Invincible were such great pieces.
Nolan P honesty, I am happy he left. He clang too hard to the idea that video-game music should be less of a distraction by having basically no melody. I was so tired of swimming in the pool of sounds without a melody to hold on.
@@dandankovsky7968 I disagree.
It's so beautiful and sad. This makes me hate Azshara so much more for what she did to her own people.
@Um Nobody/Gay Maximilianmus by summoning in a demon army to wipe out all those who weren't her favorites and then sold those favorites into service an old god and left those that refused to suffer for 10'000 years.🧐🧐🧐
Hypegreene05 It was never her intent to have her empire destroyed or flooded. Her original goal was to have the Legion purify the other races that refused to bend the knee to her will. And then for her and her people to be elevated to the highest power.
The Magics of the well caused it to become unstable, and when the portal to the twisting nether was reversed, it caused the plates of the World to be collapsed and shifted, causing the middle of Grand Kalimdor to buckle and the oceans from the outside seas as well as the waters from the Well as it was exploding to pour & flood their kingdoms from both ends. The catastrophe caused violent storms, rippling Magics and elements to rage out of control.
Azshara May have been vain and egotistical but she loved her people, which I believe is part of the reason why she upgraded the bargain with N’Zoth “My people come with me, or you can forget it.”
It appears N’Zoth didn’t (or wasn’t able to) take all of them - including some that were Azshara’s favoured, as you can see their spectral ghosts in the ruins of Zin’Azshari.
@@Aussielight this is all wrong. Azshara wanted the world remade pure and in her image. She didn't care about the other races as they stood no chance against her, she had already conquered the Trolls. She also cared little for her own people outside of the Highborne.
When The demons started attacking the Elves, they fled to Zin Azshari. When they got to the palace gates the Elves were met by doomguards that slaughtered EVERYONE while the her guards looked down and did nothing. They destroyed most of Suramar too. She knew about all of it and not only did she not care, because she thought it was just part of the process to purify the world, but she did nothing.
She knew her people were dying and were fighting for their survival and she tried to end the rebellion by ordering the death of Lord Ravencrest, one of her lost loyal supporters. She also knew that they were still loyal to her. The army blamed the Highborne and thought they had taken Azshara captive and had unleashed the legion, but infact it was Azshara herself. She didn't care that they were fighting for their lives or that they were coming to save her, she only cared that they were standing in her way. She cared about no one but the Highborne. So there deathe meant nothing to her
So yeah the destruction of the well caused the sundering but she is directly responsible!
Magnificent.
Azshara like your com XD
Yes she does 😍 😍 😍
Mah queen
I DUN'T WUN ET
This song is so nostalgic and it causes me a lot of feeling despite its real meaning
Blizzard did it very well
6:30 there it is! Thank you, Athelarius! This is the perfect video and tribute to Warcraft’s greatest villain.
indeed, they build a music worthy of Nazjatar
Travel to an age where once glorious and powerful elven empires or kingdoms once ruled only to see them all be washed away by a cataclysmic event which results in a near extinction of all elven kind
This makes me miss the NIGHTWISH, especially the "Sleeping Sun" and "The Siren" QQ
Miss? Nightwish is still alive.
@@peagames2002 I know, some time I would become emotional about the old era. Just some times ;p
This is hauntingly beautiful

Would have really interested me what would have happened if Azshara and Arthas, The Lich King would have met
@@karlsmink Azshara, unlike Arthas, saved her people because of her own selfishness. Because she needed someone to worship her. In my opinion her story is nowhere near the tragic character of Arthas.
@@karlsmink Azshara didn't want to save anybody, she delivered her people to N'zoth on a plate without hesitating to save herself and only herself. She is 1000 times more evil than Arthas.
@@mythsabout Tbh the only "mortal" character who can really out evil Azshara is Gul'dan probably. Literally her one redeeming quality is yeah she planned to backstab N'zoth eventually but that was less for the good of it and more because SHE wanted to rule the new Black Empire herself because her ego is just that fucking massive. She basically only helps us in Nya'lotha as a "Fuck you" to N'zoth for torturing her before she goes off back to scheming alone.
The vocals just calmly chanting Azshari ala Azsharia fit well with the context of the picture
I love music in this game
I must say Azshara is one of the most interesting characters I've ever seen. This score maybe amplifies this feeling.
This truly portraits the queen's beauty ideals.
This is great and the artwork is amazing. Great choice. I always enjoy the hard work and level of detail you put into your content. This song really is a work of art. There are small similarities in this piece and others that you have posted from 8.0 Theme addon for sharing.
Remind me "The frozen Trone" miss WOTLK
This song is so beautiful that it moves me to tears.
Beautiful
As is Azshara.
THE best music in the game.
WoW music will never stop impressing me
Magnificent.
Роскошнейшая музыка. "Затопленный рынок" мое любимое место в Назжатаре как раз из-за этого трека).
Remind me the soundtrack of Journey, am I alone ?
Imagine ABZU with this music
That's actually very good. Nice work
Only this music deserves attention in all Nazjatar in general....
Ty so much!!!!
Blizzard music > Blizzard gameplay
Would love if Blizz could put this on iTunes. ❤️
Masterpiece 🥹💖
Love it. Keep going! Cant wait for a Raidmusic remix.
Azshara is strong. We haven't seen anything from her yet... neither N'Zoth have.
Hermoso.
Wow amazing!!!
Rest my Queen, Rest
Even Monarchs need close their eyes
Men and women have gave and lost their lives for you
Every soul of the ancient world
More admired that you would know and even more missed as their everlasting light turned to eternal darkness
Be they servant or mage
Each follow their own path forged by you
Run by a figure destined to be that of legend
The world now in peril
He wakes from darkest depths of the void
Envious of those that rule in what is in his eyes, his rightful rule
Endless dreams collide in wonderous visions
Married to her insanity and lust for power
Perversion of what could have been but did not come to reality
In this those that remain from days of yore mournfully recount standing at the event horizon of a legion of hungering evil
Rest now, released from a tormenting curse
Every queen must eventually relinquish their title, for no one can truly rule forevermore.
wtf she's not dead
@@brunom7162 I never strictly implied she did, if you look at the first letter of each line you'll get why I made it
Quite a nice poem - for an airhead.
@@Alcadeias123 She's respectable to some degree. But she is literally the cause of all problems on Azeroth. SHE brought the demons. SHE destroyed ancient Kalimdor.
I love Highbornes and their arcane works. But what Azshara did for power was gross (she literally killed her own people for power mind you).
@@slimesparkle I'm not supporting Azshara by any means but at the same time it was not her that directly caused the Sundering, Malfurion's spell to seal the portal was the final straw so to speak.
When I listen to this, I imagine the 12th Doctor (old one) who travel through the Space & Time to Azeroth to prevent Azshara from becoming that monstrosity and stop N'zoth to corrupt her & Xavius. Battle between Doctor & Xavius, Azshara just watch then give thanks to Doc' + Doc' used his ability to put future events into Azshara's mind just for her to see what she become.
And get her in his Tardis, spent some time together, then bring her back and even she saw everything from Doc' she yet do the job with N'zoth 'cause Time musn't be rewritten 'cause of future Of Azeroth. :D
i fuckin love this part 2:20
What will be the lyrics of this magnificent work?
This song really makes you think of the glory days of wow, even though it was released during one of the worst expacs.
it's remind me a bit of Abzu
Vash’jr music would also fit into najzatar
Why isn't this on spotify already?
Is it just me, or the song at certain parts kinda has a heroic vibe?
Because in a way Azshara was the hero when she made the bargain with N’Zoth.
@@ninaloveray No she wasn't...
tzo anast I mean she saved her people from drowning so she was the hero in that situation
@@ninaloveray And she subjected them into an even worse fate, cursed snake people serving an Old God with only hatred in their hearts, most of them anyway, there have been 1 or 2 "good" Naga in the past. It would have been better if they just drowned and found their rest.
tzo anast those people chose too to become Naga as well. Those who didn’t became drowned restless spirits, so those to became Naga chose that path as well instead of dying. And their allegiance was to Queen Azshara not N’zoth. And Queen Azshara never worked for him, as she tried to free him only to kill him after.
