My favorite cinematic so far this expansion. The rendition of Nightsong was beautifully done and the animation & reference to Ysera's death when Winter Queen resurrects her was perfect!
My second favorite after Arthas, My Son/ Invincible. I knew it from the first moment I heard it in Cata. It would play in certain parts of Ashenvale so I would go and afk in those specific spots just to listen to it. Time flies =/

We've compiled all versions of Nightsong from Legion, Shadowlands, the original from Cataclysm and the slower one from my BFA-Night Warrior series. As always, we thank you for your support! Fun Fact from Neal Acree (composer): “Funny thing about Nightsong. When I wrote it, I was convinced that its song-like structure made it wrong for WoW in-game music and almost didn't submit it. Same thing with the song version of Anduin’s Theme.” (Old archived Twitter post). Just think, 2 of the greatest soundtracks behind Invincible almost didn’t make it in-game!
(SPOILER) That moment when Ysera awakens in Ardenweald made this grown man weep openly with joy. Like seriously, that doesn't happen every day. They did such an amazing job!
Still even to this day, seeing Yesra die in the Legion expansion, causes my eyes to spring a leak that even tissues can't combat. And her rebirth also has the same effect.
The whole quest chain to bring Ysera back , in my book is right up there with the classic Scythe of Elune chain and the Alliance side Onyxia quest chain. seeing what seems like all of Ardenweald gather along the roads as you transport Ysera's pod felt like an epic experience!
Have we figured out who Elune really is? Not a titan, not an old god. She might be more like Azeroth or Argus, a world-soul? If that's the case, she might get taken over by Elune towards her own ends, destroying those who are a threat to Azeroth or herself. She may very well become another boss to fight down the line. If she loses her way, Malfurion will be the first to try and set her right and quite possibly the first to die when he fails.
Night Elves/Naga will always be the best race in wow! Just them having the best music,zones,aesthetics and characters proves this. They made the whole game happen.
Ayy this brings me back to the time I was like "Dafuk is Wow" And then I made a Night Elf. And then I heard this motif. And then it's today. Good memories.

I've always been a fan of Night Elves and their lore/culture. Ever since we first saw them in Warcraft 3. Most unique elf in a franchise imo. The sentinels, the wardens, the demon hunters, the druids, faerie dragons, giant tree ancients. Such a beautiful design, I hope to see them more in CGI in the near future.

Rarely do I ever cry in a video game of any kind, but the whole scene where you escort Ysera’s wildseed and most all of Ardenweald following you just moved me to tears. Added with this music, it was nothing short of perfect
This put me on tears and my whole body goosebumps. Used to play WoW on TBC as a Night Elf and i remember like if was yesterday, my first WoW character ever, a Night elf Warrior! This is more than a game for me and i learned so much about real life with it. After all those years i will come back to WoW Classic! I will always be a PROUD Night Elf! So grateful for all this to exist. 🙏🏻

Blizzard really decided to shaft Night Elves throughout WoW. Permitting Horde to do so many terrible acts against a faction technically more neutral than anything. Even AFTER they practically sacrificed everything to save everyone - Horde included. Tyrande's rage is very, very much understandable and I hope she gets to kill the Banshee Queen. Knowing Blizzard, though, they will make her an antagonist in some form. Every Horde leader since Thrall has been a monster or manipulated fool and the Horde members willingly do their bidding time and time again.. even going as far as giving the Horde faction a chance to follow Sylvanas even AFTER she shows herself having betrayed the Horde. A bigger Stockholm syndrome is hard to find.

Two quest lines that made me ball in game. The music is beautiful and haunting. It had been a long time since I had stayed up to finish a quest chain, the rebirth of Ysera did that. I knew when I started hearing Nelf music who was in the pod (or at least I hoped and prayed). They should have done more with Tyrande's vengeance story line.
The thing I love about Night song is it's not the typical wow soundtrack. I've always been a fan of the night out lore and I've always like the night elves storyline. Been play the night off since vanilla my night elf druid night elf hunter night elf Warrior or my originals that I started out with back in vanilla. When cataclysm came out the game brought in Night song and it's such an awesome piece and emotional. With the death of ysera it was a pretty sad moment in the lore the Night song made it hit more emotional tone. When I got the shadowlands I made sure I was spoiler-free so I would not know what to expect and when I got to ardenwald and did the dreamer storyline Jesus Christ it was fuckingawesome so far it's the best storyline in shadowlands. Of course that's my opinion but damn it was so emotional and the music solidifies how awesome it is with the payoff at the end. Very awesome combination you got a thumbs-up man

Winter queen is just a Titan while Elune is one of the first ones. There are many creatures from other worlds that worship her she is the god of many moons around the entire universe.
Elune is something you can't touch or see, she probably exists out of bounds to the WoW universe's reality, just like the light, therefore it's unlikely she'd have a sister that exists in our universe. Eonar the titan is most likely her sister, not Elune.
“Karen” because she is angry after horde killed 2/3 of her race in a ruthless genocidal campaign? Are you insane? Go tell some jew or slav that being mad over genocide is entitled and beg that they have civility enough not to punch you where you stand.
So happy I chose night fae. This was the most heart touching moment throughout the whole shadowlands campaign.

I've been a Nelf since the beginning. Losing Ursoc, and the rebirth of Ysera had me in tears. I almost went Ardenweald simply because of that.
Ah, saving the best for last I see. You can switch covenants, so its not too late to join Ardenweald on your main after you tire of the other ones.

Good, but human themes/zones are much better. Elwynn, lordaeron, karazhan, stormwind, jaina, varian, anduin, arthas, kadghar and so on…
