The "yeti" creatures could be immature Wendigos, they're growing little deer horns and their human skeletons are already elongating, similar to how the infected bug men eventually become hive lords
That's DEFINITELY the case. I'm kinda surprised that Sheen didn't realize those long neck blue guys were just Wendigos in the process, not some other species.
Animations are looking a lot more organic. There’s serious weight put behind the shield charge as it looks like they go for a slight superman jump putting their back foot down.
I loved watching Outward content on your channel as it helped me complete the game and was fun to watch! I will say that I am super excited for the second game and I'm glad that they will keep the combat system in-tact I do hope they keep the things that made the combat good and reallllly improve upon the aspects that were, well, not so good. With combat being the way that it was it meant that the world had to be largely empty outside of dungeons. I also hope to see side quests that give a reason to locate and go through these dungeons, it isn't a deal breaker for me because I went through every dungeon in the first game without needing side quests but it would be nice to have a reason to go to these dungeons other than personal curiosity.
That clip of a sigil+spark covering you in shadow for what i assume is a stealth buff id a BIG plus for me, cos that means there's gonna be close quarters stealth combat and more varied utility spells outside of the Runic spell comboes.
Incredible insight!! I've watched this trailer manyyy times and yet never catched soo many details as you unraveled them. Got my hype even more up for this sequel!
I never got far in this game, but I played it for a bit with my gf. We never even fought any bosses but it was a fun but hardcore experience nonetheless. We did clear the castle at the beach, barely. I'll never forgot the feeling when we both found out there was a season-cycle and we constantly had to carry torches because our clothing was not appropriate for winter. I played the game a bit solo as well. The whole ''your gear is your power'' idea is so cool. Great memories. Will check Outward 2 for sure!
Haboob is the name of a town in Outwards world. It was on the map in the first game but you could not get there. And it will be a place we go to in the second likely.
Very nice to see people appreciate our works like you and the main raison why I work to produce as high quality stuff as I can so player like you to enjoy as much as possible. Love your content too :)
This game was hard for me to initially get into..but this stream and all its information really provided the support I needed... And Old Man Gamer (who I will assume return to Outward 2 as well)... the build diversity, and items and unique look really make this game a must buy for me.
I was just introduced to this game around last month and didn't even realize they're releasing outward2. I also had struggles at the very beginning at it was seriously fun to see so many things happening just walking outside and dying because of all the debuffs I ignored and thought they'd be gone after a few seconds, at that point on, I noticed it was seriously a diamond in the rough and I fell in love with the game.
Things I would like to see in Outward 2: 1. More ranged weapons, more specifically, Rifles, Crossbows, and Hand-Crossbows. Guns deal the most damage, crossbows have the best special ammo, and bows have the best speed. 2. Self-Training. Basically, you spend enough stamina, and you'll get a small boost to it. Eat too much food and you become fat, so you have more health and less stamina, eat too little and the effect is reversed. Maybe also special skills you can learn yourself if you accomplish certain things? 3. Better Crafting. Expand upon the basic crafting system to also include blacksmithing, maybe also make it so you're an active participant in the crafting? (Like the Jacksmith game) 4. MINIONS!!! At inns in various cities, you can hire mercenaries to help you fight and explore. If you don't want to spend money, you can summon a familiar/demon/spirit/etc using a new type of magic called summoning/demonology/spirit calling. This would make support builds viable solo and give an excuse to add more team-centric abilities. 5. Base-Building. At the very most, allows you to build your own home in certain places onthe map. At the very least, allows you to upgrade and customize the houses you can buy at the cities.
Just something that i noticed, the windigo guy looks like hes taller than a normal human and has become disfigured and his limbs seem to be longer and he has horns that look like the windigo horns,i think that they arent taming the windigos but are becoming ones themselves
If we get mounts I hope they are subject to survival like the player. Overencumbered = slow mount Hot/cold effects Mounts need to eat/drink Mounts can bleed, get sick, die As long as the mounts follow the same rules, I could see the balance integrity still safe. Even better if your mount can get frightened and run off mid battle. Should be risk vs reward for every pedantic step like that. I hope ...
ua-cam.com/video/-CThKRCsvqI/v-deo.htmlsi=dsqoKG29wklJdKeA&t=606 Is that really a Bandage animation? I don't think so. I suspect that's a new "Belt" item which helps dictate pouch mechanics. Lots of these characters have distinctive belts on, and I can imagine that a "cloth belt" would be a natural first option. Donning them, like donning a backpack, would have its own animation.
The vast majority of the information we got was just exactly what was needed and no more. I like that they aren't trying to upend the whole system and do something completely different, just refining and polishing what was already there. VERY curious how the pack mules are going to work, that could end up being really nice or really tedious imo.
My biggest concern with pack mules is food. Bigger creature means more food which means less space for shiny loot. But honestly the first game was simply lacking polish imo. Sure somethings could have been added or changed (which the second seems to be doing) but mostly it came down to clunky controls & balance.
Hey hey! Partner and I are so excited for this! I, for once, am speechless and so surprised. I seem to remember the devs said there would be no more Outward after DE. All I can say is: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From what I was told they will only be pack mules and no mounts. Which will be interesting since they want to make the world more compact as well. I can only imagine seeing my pack mule die and needing to lug far too much loot back to town in a frustrating manner lol.
They're definitely wearing a Mongolian style deel in the snow cave scenes. They even put an ulzi decoration on the back. I'm looking forward to seeing what other influences they might have used for the clothing and architecture.
To me it feels like it would have been a very nice DLC instead of a new game. Missed opportunity to fix the first game since that was kind of boring if played alone, as you said "too much walking". Hopefully they nail it with this one because I would love to jump back
It would be kinda cool if you could go to the original game region (a dlc?) in outward 2. Spruce it up with more love and I'd be happy. Also would like to know where the calgray and the djin came from
Edit 2: I wrote this before the very end bit so most of these points have already been talked about THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!! It better be local two player though because the main time i do it is with my dad! Can't wait 😅 Edit: I hope they nail the soundtrack again, that's perfection. Do you think we can go to Haboob now? It's been on the map forever and it's infuriating! 🤣
only bit that does not sound all too exciting is only 8 skill tree's and they are likely going to be just as small??? Would have loved if they expanded this feature a bit with more robust classes and overall variety. Still find myself having trouble picking in the first game just due to there not usually being classes that offer much for my game plan past just 1 or 2. Also kind of hoping we can get some sort of soft respec somehow. Needing to completely make a new character to try anything different is a steep cost. I get the design decision around it though... Perhaps just some way to try or test some of the features before locking it in permanently? 🤷♂ since atm if you don't like what you got, oh-well have to restart everything to change it up.
In Q&A it has also been confirmed that they want to release other two games first(the Rogue like game, and Witherbloom) before they release Outward 2. the other 2 games also look very nice, but it would also be quite nice to mention that Outward 1 was made under several constrictions and limitations, which have been lifted now that they are bigger studio. Meaning we can expect better production quality for Outward 2.
So upset I only just found out about this today, I am EXTREMELY hyped for this game. Outward has to be one of my top 5 most favorite games of all time.
Only thing from the CEO recap that disappoints me is the "8 total skill trees will be included". I guess that's the same as base outward before DLC, but I would hope for more in a base sequel.
After all the talk about not making an Outward 2 any time soon... I'm both happy and sad. Happy for Outward 2 being in development and sad because the trust of the company just took a hit.
I'm so happy especially for you bro 🤗 since you spended so so much time in outward, also making toons of helpful video about it 😊 so for you it's amazing 🤩 but also for me
I don't want to be that guy but I fully expect Outward 2 to be everything Outward 1 was and more, like a gigantic improvement to the point where it makes the prequel look like a beta version of the game. I swear there was so much they could have added or changed with the original game before release, and don't get me wrong, I love the game, but I really think the sequel is going to be the epitome of what Outward can be
I would really like to know if we’ll get shared storage boxes this time around. As much as I loved Outward 1, it was extremely annoying having to travel back and forth to collect items in the boxes of the player houses in each of the regions
I've come back from a long slumber after hearing the elusive words... "Outward 2". Seems like Outward fan will have a good time with this. I myself is thrilled!
Hopefully archers will be expanded upon, the reason I didn't play is cause archery seemed a bit meh. I'd like it, if there is a pet skill that will allow you to tame a pet if you have the skill, so I could go an archer pet tamer build. But the number one thing needs to be co-op players able to get the rewards of the host. That was the main reason I didn't play outward 1 far into the game.
This does make me wonder. did our Jim, stay or did he chase history? basing if off what we find in Caldera our first character might be travelling due to the journal from the Grandmother boss.
Rune magic must live on... Though I think they need to remove or reduce drastically mana cost reduction. It had the same problem as skyrim where investing a ton into magic didn't actually make you a better mage as you could get the costs down to close to 0. Have the gear increase the power of spells, and cost the spells appropriately in the first place.
So my overall hopes, better guns More maps Maybe even old regions brought back Alot can change in 30 years, so i love to see how levant change maybe a mobile home, i would love it if we could have a way to transverse the land viva animal mounts with a mobile trading home.

Well I'll be damned 13:26 our boi Gregory Turnbull actually managed to pull it off effectively helping the immaculate, if that's the case then there's a possibility of playing as an immaculate!
I'm pretty sure the horned-yeti guys that walk alongside the wendigos, are actually just guys in the process of turning into wendigos.
That’s exactly what I was thinking
Did you notice the human skeletal face in the roof of the wendigos mouth?
@@faszikilawang8445 Oh, good catch!
I was thinking the same thing

I can't wait for this! Loved Outward!
Definitely excited!
with only 8 classes at launch i hope they add in the hex magic and rune magic
I still play outward 1 and this looks amazing
It'd be cool if we could import our saves, carrying over decisions made, like say whispering bones showing up at some point.
I really hope there will be a mount such as like a horse or something maybe a giant pearl bird idk
Can't wait for Outward 2. And mostly, can't wait to see you destroy everything in it!
I am crazy excited!! I am still dumbfounded that it’s real omg
can not wait tbh. do not like the fortnite like UE graphics, but still hope the game will not to "colorful" remain a bit grim
I just hope my PC can run it on the lowest visuals :(
Can’t wait for some couch co-op
That was awesome when I saw it
Still is very awesome
Yeaah boii

03:44 Damn I never thought wendigos had a human skull underneath, that's horrifying
In French "tremontain" literally translates to "very mountainous" lmao
🤣 Its Tramontane ! ;) It s a cold strong harsh wind ,you have in southern France s mountains and valleys
Things I would like to see in Outward 2:
1. More ranged weapons, more specifically, Rifles, Crossbows, and Hand-Crossbows. Guns deal the most damage, crossbows have the best special ammo, and bows have the best speed.

I'm so happy.
So many great games in both this year and the near future,
Dragons Dogma 2, GreedFall 2, Shadow of the Erdtree and now Outward 2.
Sick! cant wait to drink all that tea again
I am so excited and can't wait. I was just browsing the steam store and came across the Outward 2 page. What a massive bonus to my day!
I seriously hope the disney animation movement is just for the cgi. it looks incredibly out of place for outward.
Yo sheen. Did you not watch the dev CEO Q&A? He said no mounts. The boar is a pack mule
He did say it in the last part
12:44 Extra Info
Praise Elatt! I get to die from lack of sleep or pecked to death by those pearl bird cutthroats again!

I'm happy, yet another way for people to say "we are going home" (mine will be stalker 2)
I hope this will be just as cozy, if not more than the first game, and they better have those cozy sounds as well
Looks like boar mount is feature that alows you to travel with all your loot to another region. I dont want mounts here the game would lost her soul.
Man i gotta play the first one! I started it when it came out. Gotta make a female because the character creation for dudes are jacked up
Some news about the coop? Is it going to have better integration with quest and gameplay in general?
Every time your name pops up on my feed all I can think of is Charlie & Martin 😅
I wonder how possible would it be to import the regions and content from Outward 1 to the second game.
Looking forward to the PAX demo if there would be any footage released!
Oooooh, the hype is real. It's gonna be fantastic!
i think more of a follower than a mount or is a pet like in the first game
DRAGONS would be amazing.
Cant wait for the Sheenshots videos for Outwards 2!!!
i wonder if tsar armor set would make a return, some improvement would be welcomed also
according to steam the game has splitscreen, remoteplay and online coop*
