I was recently picked up by a weekend golf team after they had witnessed me shoot an 80. Unfortunately, my debut with the team fell apart from the tee box. I couldnt hit driver if my life depended on it. Then I received a feed on my FB which lead me to your instruction on driver basics. I need to go back to basics. I'm looking forward to your coaching to get my driver swing back. Thank you, Georgia!
I have watched many coaching UA-cam videos and majority of them are by people with egos & the term for them is ‘Figjam’. You are a very pleasant person with beautiful voice tone and showing genuine desire to help high handicappers like myself. Today was the first time I came across your videos and cannot wait to put some tips into practice. It is always my fairway shot (2nd shot) usually with a 3 or 5 hybrid that stuffs it up for me. I will take onboard some of the useful stuff you shared and see how I go next Thursday. My new name for you already is Dr Golf as you have that demeanour that is already giving me confidence that you will fix my ‘sick’ fairway shots. Thank you Georgia.
I'm about to turn 70 and have played golf for many years. I've always struggled to a degree with my driving and especially this year, playing Army golf (Left - Right - Left). I've tried all kinds of changes, advice, and lessons off the Internet. Nothing really helped much. I'm hear to tell you that this little video has changed my driving and my golf game. Rather than getting off the tee being a challenge and a drag on my game, it is now a weapon. Thank you so much.
I first saw your instagram video explaining how to get the right distance from the ball and line up your driver. I was immediately so much more consistent I made my way here. Thanks for making golf accessible to us newbies and golf wives.
Subscribed! I love how you explain in a way that is so easy to understand! I started playing golf in 2022 but then I suffered a stroke in Oct 2022. I was unable to even swing my clubs for an entire year afterwards! So I’m basically learning all over again! I was never very good but i love trying!
This is such a great video, thank you so much! Today was actually the first time I hit a driver on the range, I was making good contact but not getting the height and was always going left, so hopefully next time with a few tips from here it will really help 😊
Thanks for the videos. Enjoy that you keep everything simple. Started doing the Driver Set up. Mixed results so far but definitely positive signs. I did hit my best two tee shots of the year last night so will keep working on it. 👍⛳️
Great video, coming at the right time for me as this is my major focus for this year is improving consistency and gaining distance, managed to hit 267 yards with a 157mph ball speed today at the range so heading in right direction for sure, got a aerojet driver in sales at start of year and that has boosted confidence with using driver as well 🙂
Hi Georgia, thank you so much for this video. The step by step breakdown makes it so much easier to develop technique and build confidence. I've subscribed to your channel and i'm definitely looking forward to more videos 🙂
I live in a community with a pitch and wedge course and I tried to get interested in playing but lost interest. Your vids have rekindled my interest and now I want to return to the driving range in addition to playing the course in my community. You’re an excellent instructor. Thank you!
Thank you Georgia! I started to learn golf last year with my boyfriend, the only tip he ever told me was “keep your head down”. Which after a while isn’t very helpful 😅 your videos make thing so much better!
Great tips! 😀 I will try picking a target and aligning the club. Just hoping I stay on the fairway, like today, is obviously not the best way to use the driver....
Watched your video about 5 times to absorb it, went to play yesterday and all my drives were very straight doing exactly what you said I scored my own pb whilst doing it, thank you for your help you are my new coach now lass and believe me I have followed a lot of others without any improvement whatsoever , so it's onto iron play with you now , could you do basic chipping and sand play for me to keep returning to please Thanks again coach
Great to hear - thanks so much for watching! Plenty more videos on the way 😊 if you would like any custom videos or requests, the link to my Patreon is in the video description ⛳️
Fab video… one for irons and chipping please. This old fella needs simple straightforward help … think you may be the answer! … subscribed and shared! Thanks 😊
Thanks for the kind words! 😊 The clubface should be square to the target line, meaning it should point directly at your intended target ⛳️ The bottom edge of the clubface should be parallel to the ground, ensuring the clubhead is not tilted or twisted 🏌️♂️ the clubhead should sit behind the ball, with the ball positioned off the inside of the front foot (left foot if you’re a right-handed golfer) 🙌
If you are just learning or trying to improve your golf game you should watch your tips and drills. I have and my game has improved. Take care .xx Rich
thanks so much for this, quick question Georgia if you don't mind, I've a slowing driver swing speed due to shoulder injury, should I tee ball higher? swing speed about 80mph, thanks for all your great help and advice for us amateurs
Hey Jon! I would suggest maybe trying to tee the ball higher when driving as it may help you get a better launch angle and sweet spot 😊🏌🏻♂️ it's hard to say without seeing your swing and current set up but I guess there is no harm in trying and seeing if you find any beneficial results with doing so
Love your straightforward, less technical approach in this video. I'm struggling, after basically being away from the game for 13 years, to hit my irons like I used to. Any chance for a follow-up video for irons?
Thank you so much for the kind words! ⛳️ & difficult to say without seeing your swing 🏌️♂️ however I would always refer back to setup, grip and plenty of practice
The only thing im missing here is how to work out how far your body should be from the ball. Like in the iron videos you hold the club out straight then tilt your hips forward to get the right distance. Is it the same for the driver? you look a bit further away than you did when swinging with the Irons
Can you do a video on what club to use based on different scenarios like when to chip, stuck in sand. I hit my first straight driver because of you. And I hadn’t even done it before hand
What if I do all these set up tips and the ball is still slicing into the next fairway?😅 my irons/hybrids go straight but my driver slices so bad I can’t even use the club during a round
It’s difficult to say without seeing your swing however I would double check your setup, grip and swing path as most of the time it will fall into one of these categories as to why 😊🏌️♂️✅
My alignment is shocking, after tee shots people always say, your feet were aiming way over there or feet aim one way shoulder the other 🤦🏻♂️🤣🤦🏻♂️ I now play the 360° triple track too

Like in the iron videos you hold the club out straight then tilt your hips forward to get the right distance. The tilt from the hips drill works for driver too 😊⛳️ it's a longer club, so you will naturally stand further back
