Kemper-only user here, but one of my go-to crunch tones is based on the VH4 crunch channel - and I adore it. The Herbert truly delivers on the heavier side of tones, great distortion!
So many tone monsters on the market these days, it’s just getting so difficult to choose which one. That thing sounds tight and heavy. Just the way it oughta be. 🤘🤘
This and the diamond nitrox are literally my 2 favorite amplifiers. I have them both and I am going to have an extra large coffin made when I die so I can be buried with them lol.
Not many people have the Nitrox! Any chance you are from Houston where they were made for a long while? I lived five minutes from them when they were there.
@@LincolnAlice I am from Michigan, I purchased the amplifier brand new back in 2012. it's a monster. I got a chance to finally try out some Fishman moderns through it and that woke it up big time. Considering how great this amplifier actually sounds I am really surprised more people have not got on board with them. Most people that I mention this amplifier to have never even heard of it let alone own one. I'm glad there's at least one other person out there that even knows what I'm talking about lol.
I own a Nitrox, Herbert mk3, Herbert mk1, Uberschall rev Blue, a VH2, a Triple Rec Rev G, 8100 Valvestate, a 2204 and a 6505. My mk3 Herbert was the only amp that beat out my Uberschall as my favorite
I own a Herbert Mk2 for about 10 years now. Everything about it is insane, but I found it to be immensely impractical for a live rig, as it is just too loud at any given setting.
I love my Herbert dude. It is a bit impractical IMO for gigging , but in the studio it's GOD TIER level gear. Also, as a metal guitarist I don't typically even discuss the clean channel, but this amps clean channel is without question the best I've ever heard and thus actually worth mentioning.
I haven't really been a fan of what I've heard from Diezel amps in the past (the VH4), but this sounds killer! The VH4 just sounded flubby to me, whereas this sounds a lot more defined across the board.
I bought the Mk3 Herbert like 6 months after it released after trading my mk2 for it, and I’ve been searching for suggestions on amp settings so thank you for theses demos 🤘🏻
I went through my big tube amp nerd phase in the mid 2000s. The one amp I was able to try that I've always wished I could buy but never have been able to is the Herbert. The thing just kicks you in the chest in a way that you really have to feel to understand. The noise floor is a little high, but you get over it fast.
One of the best sounding amps I've seen someone use live was the VH4. It was also completely unnecessary, as it was a tiny dive bar that maybe held 100 people if you put them through a blender first. For the classic metal and rock they were playing, channel three was perfect.
You’ve got money for your own switching system if you’ve got >$4K for this amp. I say who cares no foot switch. It’s just gonna sit in a closet anyway.
@agufish have you played an original Diamond Nitrox? If not, I can't recommend it enough. It's without a doubt the BEST tube amp I've ever played. Especially for my F# tuned baritone 6 string.
Once again, I see an amp that says to me "sell all your amps and get a Synergy box", because of course, Synergy is sporting an Herbert AND VH4 module available. If I got the twin module chassis I could have both amps in one and that's kind of blowing my mind now that I see it typed out there. EDIT: you're not fully bougie with German boutique amps until you have an OhmMachT. Facts.
Hit like for big pp tone

Less go big pp tone for me
I have the pedal and it’s honestly one of my favorite high gain tones ever. Deet-zel if you want to pronounce it like a German.
I'm like the worst German ever so appreciate that pronunciation tip!
Definitely one of my absolute fav high gain amps of all time. Deizel never dissapoints!
Tight and Lots of Sizzle!

There's nothing like unboxing new gear especially if it's something you've wanted for a while
Man, that amp is something else.
Bucket list amp for me
My favourite amp of all time.
God damn that clean on tge baritone... Woof 😍

You've been playing your Agusig prototypes alot recently... Is that a sign of some sort? 👀
Maybe I just like them, maybe it’s something 👀
Wow, very sick amp for sure! Nice review!
I have the VH2 these amps are like bulldozers lol
fresh agu is best

Can’t tell what the amp is in the thumbnail. I’m thinking it’s an Orange?
It’s the desile that he’s playing
Such a mystery 🤔
@@agufishlol
I dunno, could be a Fender Twin Reverb combo? Hard to tell... 😜
@@incendiesproductions Possibly a Kustom Tuck and Roll?
SSSICK AMP😮
ITS ABOUT TIME WE GOT A DIEZEL HERE
Yep, hope to see a Petrol in the future 😢

Agu give heart or small pp tone for life
Well, you got me. Here’s your obligatory heart

Now to say small pp if you don’t send guitar🥴🥴

Vh4 is not flubby. That's the exact reason they are so popular. No flubb here.
Very sweet. I've seen them around. Thanks for checking this out and sharing it. nicceee!

Congratulations on that man..my sales engineer told me that was a monster Amp years ago .🎉
Probably the heaviest amp you've demo'ed to my ears. What cabs arw recommended for this head ??

Omg!!! I love diezel. Also Adam jones uses one too. He uses that and a JCM Marshall plexy. The two combined is tool!
I have a Mark I version. It’s wicked. I love the fat distorted tones, especially on ch3.
Your guitar dad jokes are greatly appreciated …. Keep them coming !

What load did you use for this 180 watt monster? This or EVH Stealth which I have. Love the Marshall vibe.
Yeah, at $4300 they should have included a foot switch. That's insane.
The switch is like $350 after tax, too lol. Pure insanity
You’ve got money for your own switching system if you’ve got >$4K for this amp. I say who cares no foot switch. It’s just gonna sit in a closet anyway.
@@agufish wow, so you're into it for almost 5 grand plus tax after it's all said and done?! That IS insane!
@adamfstewart81 well if it's gonna sit in a closet, why bother?
How much!!!!? Well I'll never own one. 😢
That’s the most wicked
Harley Benton ever. 👏
Isolation riff just thrown in there. Love it!
Herbert is the best!!!
@agufish have you played an original Diamond Nitrox? If not, I can't recommend it enough. It's without a doubt the BEST tube amp I've ever played. Especially for my F# tuned baritone 6 string.
Wow! Bucket list amp!
What's your opinions on the Herbert vs the VH4?
What kind of strap locks are those on your HB agufish lp ? I've been looking for a amazing set just like those!
Amplitube has an amp sim for the vh4 and it sounds AMAZING.
The dad jokes will only multiply from here.
Is that your new baritone coming out @agufish?
Several bands use these. Even Adam Jones from tool uses a diezel. So many tones.😊
Yeah but only the very old Vh4 versions tho
Diezel are pretty awesome. Try out their distortion pedal too.
I don't know what's wrong with your amp but you really don't need a Noise gate for that amonat all. My MK III is 100% quiet.
How about trying a Bogner Uberschall next?
Also Adam Jones uses Diezel, makes sense why i felt like the tone was very Adam Jonesey
Once again, I see an amp that says to me "sell all your amps and get a Synergy box", because of course, Synergy is sporting an Herbert AND VH4 module available. If I got the twin module chassis I could have both amps in one and that's kind of blowing my mind now that I see it typed out there.

Kind of amped for this video. Hahaha
😒
CHONK AF!!!
Great tones with the baritone, it looks almost comical, such a long scale with a LP style body 😂😂😂 Cannot wait to get one!
Excuse me wtf. When is that Agufish signature baritone coming? I need like 4 of them, right now :-|
BRING A BOGNER
I WISH I COULD AFFORD ONE! SHEW!
TELL ME you noticed the Serial Number of your Herbert. LAWD! That's a Tone Mountain SCORE.
The vh4 is my preferred model since James hetfield uses it
❤ Diezel 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Herbert 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What is that Harley Benton at the end? min 7:16
I think Adam Jones uses a Diezel too?
What kind of guitar is that? Amp sound great
Regular scale and baritone scale versions of my signature Harley Benton!
0:49 Kitty Kat.
Mr. Agufish please tell Harley Benton to release this Les Paul baritone. Thank you. :)
I've always wanted to try one but, way too pricey for me. Got me a PRS MT15, and it kills!
The MT15 is a MONSTER of an amp
mark 2c+ next?
"Herbert, Herbeet, Herbert...."
The Trippel X would do the same thing at 120w ''technically 200w''.... maybe...
I’m telling you bro get your hands on a Genz Benz El Dialblo 100
Fun fact: the z in Diezel is peonounced as hard C in Germany
This amp seems to really like a boost pedal. I was not impressed by the amp direct in but when you added the boost it really tightened up.
Btw it’s German - it’s pronounced more like “hair bear” than “Herbert”
Sounds muffled and fuzzy, IMO. Needs a lot more treble/presence.
Is the transformer rusty? lol
I could tell you aren't used to diezel the moment you said noise gate ... 😂 diezels are dead silent. If its making noise, its not the amp.
Das metal
Myles Kennedy is awesome
Cat!
Please turn your microphone over so the red thingy is sticking down. Sorry, great show love your stuff, but I can't stop staring at it.
Give me 😂
No included footswitch on a $4300 amp is some bullshit
You can use most of the midi switchers with it
@@g.koch. That doesn't matter. If Bugera of all people can include a footswitch with their amps, Diezel can
I am weird. I don’t like boosting amps.
It’ a Bratwurst amp
Its weird hearing an American say petrol?

take off your delay.
What dis you pay for the amp if I may ask?
People always have to make it shitty and harsh woth a boost.... dont be these people.
