@@LordLOC I thoroughly enjoyed T3 to T5 aswell, glad to see not everyone is bashing those films. There is always something new and interesting introduced in the films and the action is always cool. I think now is the perfect time to explain the clusterfuck with the different timelines. 1. The first timeline is T1 and T2 and that's it, especially with the directors cut. 2. The second timeline is T1, T2 and due to the events in T2 (destroying Cyberdyne, delaying judgement day) T3 happens. After T3 comes T4 (Salvation) and this is where the second timeline ends. 3. The third timeline is T1, T2 and Terminator Genisys. This is the most complicated one. In the beginning Kyle told a different story of how John met him, than what we saw in Salvation. This is the original way, but the Film just creates a different timeline with the whole Genisys Storyline instead of retelling the events of T1. What basically happens is, that right after T2 the timeline splits up into 4 different ways. The one in which everything ends after T2, the one that continues to T3 and Salvation, the one that continues in Genisys and the one that continues in T6 (Dark Fate). All that because every Movie after T2 was made by different Directors and Studios with different visions for this Franchise. Salvation was the beginning of a planned Trilogy, Genisys was the beginning of a planned Trilogy and Dark Fate was the beginning of a planned Trilogy and none of them were ever made.
Also the T1, T2 and Sarah Connor Chronicles timeline. I remember reading that Skynet changes the time line in Genesis because the Skynet's in different timelines have become self aware of each other and how things went in each timeline. A similar thing is said of Unicron in the Transformers franchises different timelines.
Personally I think the Matt Smith Skynet comes from another timeline, one where judgment day delays caused it to be made from more advanced technology. If it can create time travel as an AI of 1997, imagine what it could accomplish as an AI of 2011 from The Sarah Connor Chronicles. With additional 14 years of technological evolution, going back not only in time but also back in previous timelines doesn't seem too far fetched. So this more advanced version basically travelled back to the post-T1 pre-T2 timeline, since the beginning of Genisys has judgement day on 1997 again, and John still knows what should have happened.
Technically, Genisys can't be in the same timeline as the original movies, as in Terminator 1 we see the photo of Sarah gets burned in an earlier confrontation, and here we see Kyle has it right up until he goes through the time displacement device. It's obviously the intent to tie it into Terminator 1, but the continuity doesn't actually add up.
You guys should also react to The Sarah Connor Chronicles! It sadly got canceled after two seasons but it’s actually a really good show and probably the best follow up to T2

did you see the news on et and such regarding J Cameron and the new Terminator script? All companies such as WB, Paramount etc have said thanks but NO thanks to his story. Arnie and Hamilton have both said they are finished with the franchise. The title of the film is Terminator End of war.
Try watching this considering that Sarah, Kyle and Arnold are unwittingly the antagonists through well intention. John could have killed them at the hospital easily. He didn't attack until he was betrayed. They proved that humans were dangerous and the threat.
Good acting, great FX, character development, this movie works well even as a stand-alone. Try NOT to figure out this alternative timeline or your brain could explode. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the Arnievision. Nice to see you! 😊
The one who transformed John into a Terminator is supposed to be T5000...an advanced unknown form of cyberdyne entity.... because its not exactly a machine nor a living being.
I'm gonna have to watch RLM's Half in the Bag on this movie for a cleanse. I watched for your guys' excitement about the franchise and riffing, not the film.
I didn't dislike the movies as much as others....it was ok, I've long accepted that the series will never capture what it did in t1 and t2. I try and just enjoy the movies for what they are on their own. Now Dark Fate is another story lol.....
I enjoyed this movie. Weirdly, from the start I treated it as an alternate universe and just enjoyed it as a standalone film. Totally agree, Arnie back as an old Terminator was the highlight. Arnie is the Terminator and the Terminator is always going to be Arnie.
Nice reaction guys, haha @ the MK reference yeah I like Cojo even more now haha! Yeah this was supposed to be the start of a new trilogy but sadly due to it doing poorly all around box office, reviews wise etc that whole idea got scrapped and we got Dark Fate which did even worse than this movie lol...looking back now I enjoyed this movie for what it was a new view on the first 2 movies really defining a whole new future.
You would need to ignore T3 and Salvation for this to make any sense. Great action and Emilia Clarke is an added bonus. Not even close to the best out of the franchise, but could have been worse.
To the person said that Gensys was underrated, they said the same thing about Terminator: Dark Fate. Both of those movies were absolutely DAMN GOOD!!! I've been a Terminator fan since 1984. Did any of you still saw what happened to the Terminator? Or are all of y'all still dont know because of all that reviewing talking? I might join this Patreon but by one condition. I be a critic on points all of you be missing.
Arnie actually was deaged in the early scenes. Despite the CGI being much more advanced for the T1000, I think that visually, the T1000 effects in T2 still look far superior.
It’s kinda weird after how many felt now enthusiasm for continuing Slavations plot, doing a time travel rewrite of history could’ve been an interesting direction but overall fell short, the next movie after is one Terminator Dark Fate, I saw a good couple of fans regards as the best since the second movie however there’s a large consensus that it’s perhaps the most hated and polarising.
The only part if this movie i liked was Kyle Reese being chased by the T800. What role in Terminator 1 was JK Simmons referring to when he said "you saved my life" to Sarah?
IMO this movie is a disaster. But the next part is even worse. Terminator has two weaker but watchable parts after the first two classic films and that is it. (And I'm a T-fan.😅)
I'd like to see you react to the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY franchise, one of the most well-known and profitable horror sagas in recent horror, it's worth checking out
I hate to admit this, i saw a matinee screening of Terminator: Genisys a week or so after it was released. I barely recall any of the movie. Which is (unfortunately) an indicator of how forgettable it was. I am going to watch your reaction later on this evening as a way to end my Saturday. Sometimes watching a movie through someone else's mindset, can perhaps compel me to appreciate it more than i did before. In any case, thanks for continuing on with the film series.
Genisys and Dark Fate are raw entertainment. Abandoning concepts such as “coherent storytelling” and “not repeating themselves” and just going all in on action and visual spectacle. I honestly am here for it. They may be my least favorite of the terminator movies but they’re entertaining. And actually I prefer them to Salvation. One commenter complained about the cat and mouse chase being overdone. Well, it is a formula that honestly just works. Increasingly advanced terminators hunting down would be victims who are protected by warriors with inferior technology.
All Terminators not directed by James Cameron have been subpar to garbage. He is the key. Not Arnold, not special effects. Cameron needs to direct. Unfortunately he is obsessed with Avatar.
@@chucklos391Yeah the problem is Cameron made a nicely contained time loop story and nobody's really found a way to add to that. This isn't the worst film and it does have creative elements. It's worth noting even T2 was basically a remake of the original Terminator, albeit with a switch from horror to action. It's not a coincidence the final act involved a factory and a semi tanker.
I just subscribed to your channel, loved your terminator reactions and was wondering when you are going to do a reaction to the next movie, Dark fate? Sadly a lot of fans have been disappointed with the recent movies. Salvation was supposed to be the first movie in a new trilogy, I've read that apparently John was going to die and Marcus would copy him and take his place, but that idea and the trilogy was scrapped after poor movie reviews. Then Genesis was supposed to kick-start a new trilogy/reboot but the time travel was so confusing to many fans that it was generally disliked for numerous reasons, showing Connor as a terminator in the trailer was a huge plot twist ruined. Now in order to erase the mistakes of salvation and Genesis, Dark Fate takes place after T2 as a direct sequel, essentially erasing Salvation and Genesis. Looking forward to your future reactions.
My biggest problem with this is when it came out they literally put the John Conner is a Terminator in the trailer!! And then as you show in your background image, that was the bloody poster when you went to the theatre to see it. They ruined their own film before anyone got a chance to see it.
I prefer dark fate over Genisys. The movie was closer to the first and second. I know people did not like that john conner was killed. But honestly, dark fate had a solid action and writing was better. Plus, the Rev 9 is my favorite terminator since the t-1000.
@@juliosalguero4638 I'm not just mad that they killed John Connor but replaced him with a much weaker character that had to go through the same journey that he went through which was a waste and not only that but they did it just so they can include the woke political BS. The REV-9 wasn't that interesting either at least to me this is very subjective though. The REV-9 was only slightly stronger than the T-800 can the REV-9 was often restrained and was slowed down significantly by the T-800 when the T-1000, T-1001, T-X and T-3000 we're able to shrug off T-800s so like they were no big deal. Speaking of the T1000 the T-1000 was able to shove a dull steel rod there's a chest of a T-800 which takes the most powerful bullets to get through and judging that It took an industrial grade hydraulic press to crush a T-800 the T-1000 would at least have to put down 25,000-30,000 lbs to get that rod through which is actually realistic because real life shape memory alloys can apply that much power in the right conditions. and knowing that the T-800 is strong enough to lift only 5,600 lb and that's strong enough to hold a REV-9 still for some time that would make the T-1000 orders of magnitude more stronger then REV-9 which makes the T-1000 more scary when you think about it. The REV-9 wasn't very intelligent either and didn't make use of its abilities when it was the best moment to like when it could have just split apart when the T-800 was holding it still with one functional arm and would have already killed Danni and also when Grace shot it in the factory It was just laying on the floor for 25 seconds literally 4 ft away from its target and it didn't get up and destroy her and waited for her to escape and then got up! If only Carl was the T-1000 because the movie would have been a lot shorter if so. Do not get me wrong Genesis is still a garbage film but at least there are still a few things to like in it but only a few things. I do kind of want to see more of the T-5000 played by Matthew Smith of course not that weird hologram thing they call Skynet.
2015 really was the ideal time to start these legacy sequels. 4 came out in one year This Jurassic World and The Force Awakens. Mad Max Mad Max is the GOAT, the rest just felt paint by numbers or playing with nostalgia instead of good story or action. Looking at you Terminator.
good movie + reaction! Not the best in the series, but not the worst. Like the last one, it has some cool moments, and I really like the whole 'sarah/pops' relationship. IMHO 'Terminator: Dark Fate' is a bit of a slap in the face for fans of the first 2 movies. fun fact: Emilia Clarke is the second person from 'Game of Thrones' to play Sarah Connor. Lena Headey played Sarah in the TV series 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles'

The practical SFX are on par
with The Thing(1982) So GOOD.
That movie made me throw up. It was awesome.
I kinda enjoyed this movie look I know its bad but I liked the idea plus it was nice seeing Arnold again
Genesis takes place in another universe.
Dark fate is a alternative timeline in the main classic universe.
Alert reality it's OK but could have been better
Try watching this considering that Sarah, Kyle and Arnold are unwittingly the antagonists through well intention.
John could have killed them at the hospital easily. He didn't attack until he was betrayed. They proved that humans were dangerous and the threat.
T1, T2, Dark Fate... then everything else... T3, Salvation, and Genisys work as an else worlds story
Dark Fate is also else worlds, because its awful.
No.
T1, T2 are only good.
T3 was ok
Salvation good
Genesis and Dark Fate are bad
Good acting, great FX, character development, this movie works well even as a stand-alone. Try NOT to figure out this alternative timeline or your brain could explode. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the Arnievision. Nice to see you! 😊
The one who transformed John into a Terminator is supposed to be T5000...an advanced unknown form of cyberdyne entity.... because its not exactly a machine nor a living being.
I'm gonna have to watch RLM's Half in the Bag on this movie for a cleanse.
I watched for your guys' excitement about the franchise and riffing, not the film.
What its like to chew 5 Gum. 😂😂😂
Hey COJO... I've been meaning to ask you this.. are you related to actor Emile Hirsch ... cause you look just like him!! lol
Looks like the terminator learned to cry after all
Fire arms? "Lord of War" Nic Cage?
It was good to see Arnold Schwarzenegger back I thought this one was better than the last one.
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
Blue Collar - Richard Pryor
The Brave - Johnny Depp
Nightcrawler - Jake Gyllenhaal
American Psycho - Christian Bale
Cult classics
It is the first movie again lol
Nice reaction guys, haha @ the MK reference yeah I like Cojo even more now haha! Yeah this was supposed to be the start of a new trilogy but sadly due to it doing poorly all around box office, reviews wise etc that whole idea got scrapped and we got Dark Fate which did even worse than this movie lol...looking back now I enjoyed this movie for what it was a new view on the first 2 movies really defining a whole new future.
Very nice film😊🎉😂❤
Thank you ❤
Fun fact: When Arnold tackled John through the wall 28:40 the original T-1000 actor was in the chair to the left as a cameo. 😂
I believe the Asian actor plays Storm Shadow in GI Joe. That is one handsome man.
LET'S GO!!
Despite the CGI being much more advanced for the T1000, I think that visually, the T1000 effects in T2 still look far superior.
these guys are in for a major dissapointment if they gonna watch the next one LoL
John Wick
The hunger games yall need to do
It’s kinda weird after how many felt now enthusiasm for continuing Slavations plot, doing a time travel rewrite of history could’ve been an interesting direction but overall fell short, the next movie after is one Terminator Dark Fate, I saw a good couple of fans regards as the best since the second movie however there’s a large consensus that it’s perhaps the most hated and polarising.
The only part if this movie i liked was Kyle Reese being chased by the T800. What role in Terminator 1 was JK Simmons referring to when he said "you saved my life" to Sarah?
He was the cop in the department store.
IMO this movie is a disaster. But the next part is even worse. Terminator has two weaker but watchable parts after the first two classic films and that is it. (And I'm a T-fan.😅)
did you know that arnold p
esonally trained kyle reese for this 5th movie
dark fate is straight garbage it's an abysmal attempt to erase Terminator 3
I'd like to see you react to the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY franchise, one of the most well-known and profitable horror sagas in recent horror, it's worth checking out
I hate to admit this, i saw a matinee screening of Terminator: Genisys a week or so after it was released.
I barely recall any of the movie.
Which is (unfortunately) an indicator
of how forgettable it was.
I am going to watch your reaction
later on this evening as a way to
end my Saturday.
Sometimes watching a movie through someone else's mindset, can perhaps
compel me to appreciate it more than
i did before.
In any case, thanks for
continuing on with the film series.
The Matrix? Predator?😅 (My guesses)
I just dont think a 50 cal can kill an 800 in one shot, two yes, not one, sarah really ahould have shot the trench coat instead of the foot
Despite the good visual effects, this film was the waste of good ideas
The first thirty minutes were a blast though
All Terminators not directed by James Cameron have been subpar to garbage. He is the key. Not Arnold, not special effects. Cameron needs to direct. Unfortunately he is obsessed with Avatar.
@@chucklos391Yeah the problem is Cameron made a nicely contained time loop story and nobody's really found a way to add to that. This isn't the worst film and it does have creative elements.
It's worth noting even T2 was basically a remake of the original Terminator, albeit with a switch from horror to action. It's not a coincidence the final act involved a factory and a semi tanker.
@@chucklos391 directing can only help so much, he would need to write as well to pretty much insure great quality
It was better than the previous 2. This was good so shut up fool.
11th Doctor Top 5 Doctors ever
Thanks for subscribing! Our Dark Fate reaction will be on the channel in about 10 minutes from now.
only one thing ! dark fate is the sequel to 2
love emilia clarke ❤
❤ this movie
Cojo looks like ashish chanchalni 😂😂
No clue why people hate this and dark fate. Their awsome. Can't please them all i guess
Dark Fate is garbage.
Sorry for this OCD interruption, but “conversate” and “competitioning” are not words. It’s “converse” and “competing” 😊
This, 3 and Dark Fate are absolute turds. Salvation is definitely 3rd best although nothing touches the first 2.
Heartbreak High S5E17 21:07
My biggest problem with this is when it came out they literally put the John Conner is a Terminator in the trailer!! And then as you show in your background image, that was the bloody poster when you went to the theatre to see it. They ruined their own film before anyone got a chance to see it.
they wanted to do just like with T2 xD
I think Genesis is bad but Dark Fate is much worse than Genisys.
Dark Fate is solid man
I prefer dark fate over Genisys. The movie was closer to the first and second. I know people did not like that john conner was killed. But honestly, dark fate had a solid action and writing was better. Plus, the Rev 9 is my favorite terminator since the t-1000.
I think Dark Fate is magnificent. A true trilogy.
Dark Fate is horrible, the worst by far of all.
Firearms?... Lord of War?
2015 really was the ideal time to start these legacy sequels. 4 came out in one year
This
Jurassic World
and The Force Awakens.
Mad Max
Mad Max is the GOAT, the rest just felt paint by numbers or playing with nostalgia instead of good story or action. Looking at you Terminator.
I watched this movie on theaters and i dont remember anything about it. I love Emilia but she was miscated and the script was a mess.
good movie + reaction!
I love this movie!
