    Being from the South, I've heard this song more than a few times. This is among the best performances I've heard of this song. You simply can't go wrong with the King's Singers and a Philip Lawson arrangement.

    • @drummerboy085
      @drummerboy085 9 років тому +4

      Morgan Wright I started when I was 14. Even if your voice has developed, you can still get it. Focus on your falsetto, or head voice, and practice blending your normal singing voice with your head voice. My natural singing voice is mid to low tenor, but if you work your way up you can hit all kinds of notes. I wish you luck! Practice often, and drink tons of water.

    I've heard them in spring 1980 in Budapest at Academy of Music. Unforgettable! Jannequin La battaille de Marignan, Patterson: Time piece, Rossini The Barber of Seville overture...
    After the official program they gave some extras. After them we didn't finish applausing. They came back to the stage in every 5 minutes, more and more tired, without giving more extras. At the end, after more 45 minutes, they came back without their dress suites, wearing suspenders... and they sang one more song for that 100 people who were standing in front of the stage and didn't stop clapping their hands and waiting for them until almost midnight.
    Nigel Perrin, Alastair Hume, Alastair Thompson, Anthony Holt, Simon Carrington, Brian Kay. I still have signatures all of them on the booklet of concertprogram.
    That was the greatest group for ever. THEY WERE The King's Singers. Unforgettable for ever!
    This new group? They sing false. Nothing extraordinary. One can forget in 5 minutes. Sorry.
