Some say love, it is a river That drowns the tender reed Some say love, it is a razor That leaves your soul to bleed Some say love, it is a hunger An endless aching need I say love, it is a flower And you, its only seed It's the heart afraid of breaking That never learns to dance It's the dream afraid of waking That never takes the chance It's the one who won't be taking Who cannot seem to give And the soul afraid of dying That never learns to live Just remember in the winter Far beneath the bitter snows Lies the seed that with the sun's love In the spring becomes the rose

My mother and her siblings used to sing like that. Unfortunately, they have all passed away and I miss their beautiful voices every day. I especially remember my grandmother's funeral when they all stood by her coffin and song so beautifully. I was eight years old, and I started crying because of the incredible song. It was like being in heaven.

This is a particularly beautiful combination of voices (2 countertenors, 1 tenor, 2 Baritones and one Bass) and over all this time they’ve changed personnel frequently but never changed this combination of voices.
